This paper presents an approach of measuring in real-time the vector of finger that is pointing to an object. DSP is used
in the operation processing unit in order to do the real-time processing. The steps include the extraction of flesh-colored
regions from an image, the labeling of the flesh-colored regions, and the detection of two characteristic positions on the
finger so that the direction that the finger is pointing at will be calculated. The entire process takes about 29 msec, which
makes it possible to have the frame rate of 34 fps. With this frame rate, this measurement approach is considered real-time
and promising to be merged into other application systems.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical usefulness of three-dimensional (3D) images of the bronchi obtained using helical CT. Thirteen patients with lung cancer, one with tracheal diverticulum, and one with bronchial amyloidosis were examined. The CT scanner employed was the Toshiba Xforce. The helical CT scan cycle consisted of 20 continuous rotations, each requiring 1.5 sec, for a total scanning time of 30 sec. Scans were obtained using a 5-mm X-ray beam width, a 5-mm/1.5 sec couchtop sliding speed, and a 2-mm reconstruction interval. 3D images were reconstructed using a CEMAX VIPstation. The optimal lower and upper threshold CT values for 3D images of the bronchi were -650 and -100 HU, respectively, and 3D images clearly depicted endobronchial lesions. Cartilage crescents were also demonstrated, but longitudinal and circular mucosal folds could not be visualized. It has been shown experimentally that the master curve for creep deformation versus the ratio of time to fracture time, can be obtained for smooth, notched and precracked specimens of Cr-Mo-V steel, a high-temperature ductile material. A simple unified constitutive equation, i.e. a master curve equation, has been proposed. It is suggested that there is some correlation between the creep deformation fracture curve and the creep damage size master curve. Although the range of the applicability of methodology might be rather limited, the development of this concept is needed for improved long-term creep lives and for other creep ductile materials. 相似文献

Creep lives of high Cr ferritic heat resisting steel weldments decrease due to Type Ⅳ fracture, which occurs as a result of formation and growth of creep voids and cracks on grain boundaries in fine-grained heat affected zone (HAZ). Because boron is considered to suppress the coarsening of grain boundary precipitates and growth of creep voids, we have investigated the effect of boron addition on the creep properties of 9Cr steel weldments. Four kinds of 9Cr3WSCoVNb steels with boron content varying from 4.7×10-5 to 1.8×10-4 and with nitrogen as low as 2.0×10-5 were prepared. The steel plates were welded by gas tungsten arc welding and crept at 923K. It was found that the microstructures of HAZ were quite different from those of conventional high Cr steels such as P91 and P92, namely the fine-grained HAZ did not exist in the present steel weldments. This research was aimed at making a robot that can go and get an object designated by the user. We produced a robot control
system that uses pointing and voice control. This control system is composed of two systems. One system is the object instruction
system that uses pointing, and the other is the object instruction system that uses voice. The approximate position of a designated
object is recognized by the object instruction system that uses pointing, and information about the object and instructions
about the operation are conveyed by the object instruction system that uses voice. This time, the object instruction system
that uses pointing has been designed and verified as the first step. A calculation resource to calculate the approximate position
of the designated object is obtained when the user points directly at the object. A robot can be moved around a designated

This paper deals with model following control of a model helicopter with three degree-of-freedom. Since the decoupling matrix
is singular, a nonlinear structure algorithm is used to design the controller. Furthermore, since the model dynamics are described
linearly by unknown system parameters, a well-known parameter estimation technique is introduced. The integral type of estimation
model is proposed here since the use of the derivative type of model cannot obtain the desired estimation result. The experimental
results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Molecular properties of benzene nitro derivatives were investigated by using semi-empirical MO calculations. As the results, the molecular structures and the rotational barrier of the nitro group calculated by AM1 showed a good agreement with the experimental values. The heats of formation in gaseous and condensed phases were obtained by considering isodesmic reactions. By this procedure, the heat of formation of hexanitrobenzene in solid phase was calculated to be +22.7 kcal/mol. The detonation parameters were also calculated by using four equations of state. Certain foodstuffs exhibit matrix interference effects on the vitamin B1 analysis prescribed in the official methods of the European Union, AOAC International, and Japan. In this study, we demonstrated that one of the problematic polyphenols in green tea or cocoa was tannin. For these matrices, thiamine was found to interact with tannin in the extraction step and was thus removed by filtration as a residue. To resolve the matrix interference, we proposed lowering the pH of the extraction solution by adding hydrochloric acid after the enzyme reaction. High precision (2–3% RSDr) and good recovery (98.3–103%) were obtained with reference materials using the proposed method. We also confirmed the equivalence of the obtained data from the proposed method and the Japanese official method for nutritional labeling. From these results, the method was found to be effective for vitamin B1 analysis regardless of the presence of interference matrices. 相似文献
