Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were used to prepare natural rubber (NR) nanocomposites. Our first efforts to achieve nanostructures in MWNTs/NR nanocomposites were formed by incorporating carbon nanotubes in a polymer solution and subsequently evaporating the solvent. Using this technique, nanotubes can be dispersed homogeneously in the NR matrix in an attempt to increase the mechanical properties of these nanocomposites. The properties of the nanocomposites such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation at break and hardness were studied. Mechanical test results show an increase in the initial modulus for up to 12 times in relation to pure NR. In addition to mechanical testing, the dispersion state of the MWNTs into NR studied by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) in order to understand the morphology of the resulting system 相似文献

Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) were used to prepare natural rubber (NR) nanocomposites. Our first effort to achieve nanostructures in MWNTs/NR nanocomposites were formed by incorporating carbonnanotubes in a polymer solution and subsequently evaporating the solvent. Using this technique, nanotubess can be dispersed homogeneously in the NR matrix in an attempt to increase the mechanical properties of these nanocomposites. The properties of the nanocomposites such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, tear strength, elongation at break and hardness were studied. Mechanical test results show an increase in the initial modulus for up to 12 times in relation to pure NR. In addition to mechanical testing, the dispersion state of the MWNTs into NR was studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in order to understand the morphology of the resulting system. According to the present study, application of the physical and mechanical properties of carbon nanotubes to NR can result in rubber products which have improved mechanical, physical and chemical properties, compared with existing rubber products reinforced with carbon black or silicone. 相似文献

The task of assigning proper meaning to an ambiguous word in a particular context is termed word sense disambiguation (WSD). We propose a genetic algorithm, improved by local search techniques, to maximise the overall semantic similarity or relatedness of a given text. Local search is used because of the inefficiency of population-based algorithms (e.g. genetic algorithm) in exploiting the search space. Firstly, the proposed method assigns all potential senses for each word using a WordNet sense inventory. Then, the improved genetic algorithm is applied to determine a coherent set of senses that carries maximum similarity or relatedness score based on information content and gloss overlap methods, namely extended Lesk algorithm and Jiang and Conrath (jcn). The obtained results outperformed other unsupervised methods, which are related to the proposed method, when tested on the same benchmark dataset. It can be concluded that the proposed method is an effective solution for unsupervised WSD. 相似文献

A floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (FC-CVD) method was designed and fabricated to produce high-quality and -quantity carbon nanotubes. The design parameters like the hydrogen flow rate; reaction time and reaction temperature were optimized to produce high yield and purity of Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs). Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWNTs) were used to prepare natural rubber (NR) nanocomposites. Our first efforts to achieve nanostructures in MWNTs/styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) nanocomposites were formed by incorporating carbon nanotubes in a polymer solution and subsequently evaporating the solvent. Using this technique, nanotubes can be dispersed homogeneously in the NR matrix in an attempt to increase the mechanical properties of these nanocomposites. The properties of the nanocomposites such as tensile strength, tensile modulus, elongation at break and hardness were studied. Using different percentages of carbon nanotubes from 1 wt% to 10 wt%, several nanocomposites samples were fabricated. Significant improvements in the mechanical properties of the resulting nanocomposites showed almost 10% increase in the Young's modulus for 1 wt% of CNTs and up to around 200% increase for 10 wt% of CNTs. 相似文献

Although there is no machine learning technique that fully meets human requirements, finding a quick and efficient translation mechanism has become an urgent necessity, due to the differences between the languages spoken in the world’s communities and the vast development that has occurred worldwide, as each technique demonstrates its own advantages and disadvantages. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to shed light on some of the techniques that employ machine translation available in literature, to encourage researchers to study these techniques. We discuss some of the linguistic characteristics of the Arabic language. Features of Arabic that are related to machine translation are discussed in detail, along with possible difficulties that they might present. This paper summarizes the major techniques used in machine translation from Arabic into English, and discusses their strengths and weaknesses. 相似文献
