Kinetic information about the phase transformation, during solidification process and solid-state transformation is essential
to the material processing, such as welding. In our research group, in-situ phase identification system consisting of undulator beam and imaging plate have recently been used. The welding torch is
driven by stepping-motor in the system. Those make possible that phase transformation can be identified in real-time under
the condition of directional solidification and the spatial resolution of 100 × 500 μm. The time-resolution is 0.3125 seconds.
In the present work, combination of analyzing method: the in-situ phase identification system, morphological observation by high-temperature laser scanning confocal microscopy and observation
of microstructure at room temperature by OM, SEM and micro diffraction-system, is suggested to analyze the phase transformation
during welding process. Phase transformation process of hypereutectoid carbon steel, during welding was analyzed as an example

We investigated the dependence of the toner charge-to-mass ratio (q/m) in a two-component electrophotographic developer on the shaking time, toner concentration (T/C), carrier sizes, and the carrier core and the coating materials, as well as the resulting print qualities in terms of print density, background density, tone reproduction, resolution, and dot gain. Four different sizes of spherical ferrite carriers, four different carrier coating materials, and an irregular iron carrier were used with two types of toner: 14 um red toner (NP-4080) and 8 um cyan toner (CLC-500). The q/m measurement by the blow-off method showed that the red toner charge was positive while the cyan toner charge was negative with these carriers. The toner q/m values, which depended on the shaking time and decreased with the increasing T/C were much more affected by the larger carrier and the smaller toner. PURPOSE: To propose a new classification of capsular block syndrome (CBS) to improve understanding of the etiology and provide effective treatment. SETTING: Shohzankai Medical Foundation, Miyake Eye Hospital, Nagoya, and Japanese Red Cross Society, Wakayama Medical Center, Wakayama, Japan. METHODS: Three groups of eyes with CBS were reviewed: eyes originally reported and diagnosed as having CBS; eyes experiencing CBS after hydrodissection and luxation of the lens nucleus; and eyes with CBS accompanying liquefied aftercataract or capsulorhexis-related lacteocrumenasia. RESULTS: In all 3 groups, the CBS occurred in eyes with a continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis (CCC). It was characterized by accumulation of a liquefied substance within a closed chamber inside the capsular bag, formed because the lens nucleus or the posterior chamber intraocular lens (IOL) optic occluded the anterior capsular opening created by the CCC. Depending on the time of onset, CBS can be classified as intraoperative (CBS seen at the time of lens luxation following hydrodissection), early postoperative (original CBS), and late postoperative (CBS with liquefied aftercataract or lacteocrumenasia). The etiology of the accumulated substance and the method of treatment are different in each type. CONCLUSION: Capsular block syndrome is a complication of cataract/IOL surgery that can occur during and after surgery. It is known that the corrosion resistance of stainless steel is deteriorated by blasting, but the reason for this deterioration
is not clear. A blasted austenitic stainless steel plate (JIS-SUS304) has been characterized with comparison to the scraped
and non-blasted specimens. The surface roughness of the blasted specimen is larger than that of materials finished with #180
paper. A martensite phase is formed in the surface layer of both blasted and scraped specimens. Compressive residual stress
is generated in the blasted specimen and the maximum residual stress is formed at 50–100 μm from the surface. The corrosion
potentials of the blasted specimen and subsequently solution treated specimen are lower than that of the non-blasted specimen.
The passivation current densities of the blasted specimens are higher those of the non-blasted specimen. The blasted specimen
and the subsequently solution treated specimen exhibit rust in 5% sodium chloride (NaCl) solution, while the non-blasted specimen
and ground specimen do not rust in the solution. It is concluded that the deterioration of corrosion resistance of austenitic
stainless steel through blasting is caused by the roughed morphology of the surface. 相似文献

Type-A zeolite evenly covered with hydroxyapatite thin layers was prepared using hydrothermal treatment at 120°C for 8 h under autogenous pressure. The hydroxyapatite needlelike nanocrystals, 100–200 nm in diameter and 30 nm in thickness, were grown under the reaction between discharged Ca2+ ions from type-A zeolite and PO4 3− ions in (NH4 )3 PO4 solution. The preferential orientations of the c -axis of hydroxyapatite crystals perpendicular to a zeolite surface were observed using transmission electron microscopy. The crystal structure of type-A zeolite was not destroyed under the reaction, but the surface morphology was changed only with complete covering of scaly hydroxyapatite particles. 相似文献

Differences in the lattice constants of Mo-100 and Mo-92 have been measured by x-ray diffraction, in order to search directly for the volume effect of isotopes in a superconductor. No significant difference in the lattice constanta(Mo-100)–a(Mo-92) could be detected at 290 K, while the differences –0.0014±0.0008 and –0.0029±0.0009 Å were detected at 85.3 and 4.31 K, respectively.
