The newly developed ingot growing techniques, as the three-grain and the columnar multigrain ingot processes, are now offering the possibility of slicing thinner wafers (≤ 100 μm). In this paper we present the results obtained on p type large area (≥ 100 cm2) and 100 μm thick wafers by using both conventional and reverse cell manufacturing technologies.The conventional cells are provided with aluminium or boron BSF plus screen-printed silver mirror or a silver-aluminium net; the reverse cells have a FSF and the deep back junction completely covered by a screen-printed or CVD silver layer.The constructing parameters have been chosen on the base of one and two dimensions modeling and both raw material and devices have been completely characterized.This work shows that very thin wafers do not introduce serious problems for the conventional manufacturing of solar cells. The efficiencies of the normal and of the reverse cells are found to be comparable and are of the same order than those of thicker cells, however at a significant lower cost. The main obtained result has to be related to the demonstration of a cell manufacturing feasibility starting from very thin wafers. 相似文献

Lentils, rice and their blend (Koshary) were cooked by traditional Egyptian methods. Cooking resulted in slight changes in the total nitrogen, as well as in the non-protein nitrogen (NPN), ether extract and crude fibre of the three products, compared with raw grains. In contrast, significant decreases were found in the mineral elements, indicating losses through leaching, on washing and cooking. Chen (Computers and Electrical Engineering, vol. 30, 2004) illustrated that Tseng et al.’s authenticated encryption schemes, with message linkages for message flows, do not achieve their claimed integrity and authenticity properties. Furthermore, Chen presented some modified schemes to repair these flaws. In this paper, we show that the modified schemes proposed by Chen are not secure. In particular, we present an attack that allows a dishonest referee, in case of a dispute, to decrypt all the future and past authenticated ciphertext between the contended parties. Blending 10?vol% of ethanol into hydrocarbon base gasoline (HBG) increases significantly the vapour pressure of the blend (E10), and exhibits near-azeotrope behaviour that severely affects the shape of E10 distillation curve. The distillation curves of HBG and E10 fuel blend, were constructed using ASTM D86 distillation data, and the areas under each distillation curve, were calculated through the numerical trapezoid rule (NTR) and calculus definite integration (CDI) methods. Consequently, the area due to azeotrope formation (ADAF), was estimated. In this paper, we present the impact of small concentration of nonionic surfactant on the area under distillation curve (AUDC) of E10 fuel blend and the area due to azeotrope formation (ADAF). We present a study of the nonlinear dynamics of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals for arrhythmia characterization. The correlation dimension and largest Lyapunov exponent are used to model the chaotic nature of five different classes of ECG signals. The model parameters are evaluated for a large number of real ECG signals within each class and the results are reported. The presented algorithms allow automatic calculation of the features. The statistical analysis of the calculated features indicates that they differ significantly between normal heart rhythm and the different arrhythmia types and, hence, can be rather useful in ECG arrhythmia detection. On the other hand, the results indicate that the discrimination between different arrhythmia types is difficult using such features. The results of this work are supported by statistical analysis that provides a clear outline for the potential uses and limitations of these features. 相似文献

The authors investigate the bit error rate (BER) improvement of partial-response continuous-phase modulation (PRCPM) signals in mobile radio channels, when decision feedback equalization (DFE) to cancel the effect of intersymbol interference (ISI) of one adjacent bit is added to the limiter discriminator. A closed-form expression for the average probability of error as a function of the Doppler shift is derived for discriminator detection with decision feedback. We develop a simple yet effective technique for motion artifact suppression in ultrasound images reconstructed from multiple acquisitions. Assuming a rigid-body motion model, a navigator echo is computed for each acquisition and then registered to estimate the motion in between acquisitions. By detecting this motion, it is possible to compensate for it in the reconstruction step to obtain images that are free of lateral motion artifacts. The theory and practical implementation details are described and the performance is analyzed using computer simulations as well as real data. The results indicate the potential of the new method for real-time implementation in lower cost ultrasound imaging systems. 相似文献

Web caching has been the solution of choice to web latency problems. The efficiency of a Web cache is strongly affected by the replacement algorithm used to decide which objects to evict once the cache is saturated. Numerous web cache replacement algorithms have appeared in the literature. Despite their diversity, a large number of them belong to a class known as stack‐based algorithms. These algorithms are evaluated mainly via trace‐driven simulation. The very few analytical models reported in the literature were targeted at one particular replacement algorithm, namely least recently used (LRU) or least frequently used (LFU). Further they provide a formula for the evaluation of the Hit Ratio only. The main contribution of this paper is an analytical model for the performance evaluation of any stack‐based web cache replacement algorithm. The model provides formulae for the prediction of the object Hit Ratio, the byte Hit Ratio, and the delay saving ratio. The model is validated against extensive discrete event trace‐driven simulations of the three popular stack‐based algorithms, LRU, LFU, and SIZE, using NLANR and DEC traces. Results show that the analytical model achieves very good accuracy. The mean error deviation between analytical and simulation results is at most 6% for LRU, 6% for the LFU, and 10% for the SIZE stack‐based algorithms. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new technique for reducing cell loss in multi‐banyan‐based ATM switching fabrics. We propose a switch architecture that uses incremental path reservation based on previously established connections. Path reservation is carried out sequentially within each banyan but multiple banyan planes can be concurrently reserved. We use a conflict resolution approach according to which banyans make concurrent reservation offers of conflict‐free paths to head of the line cells waiting in input buffers. A reservation offer from a given banyan is allocated to the cell whose source‐to‐destination path uses the largest number of partially allocated switching elements which are shared with previously reserved paths. Paths are incrementally clustered within each banyan. This approach leaves the largest number of free switching elements for subsequent reservations which has the effect of reducing the potential of future conflicts and improves throughput. We present a pipelined switch architecture based on the above concept of path‐clustering which we call path‐clustering banyan switching fabric (PCBSF). An efficient hardware that implements PCBSF is presented together with its theoretical basis. The performance and robustness of PCBSF are evaluated under simulated uniform traffic and ATM traffic. We also compare the cell loss rate of PCBSF to that of other pipelined banyan switches by varying the switch size, input buffer size, and traffic pattern. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献
