This work introduces a novel formulation of system optimal dynamic traffic assignment that captures strategic route choice in users under demand uncertainty. We define strategic route choice to be that users choose a path prior to knowing the true travel demand which will be experienced (therefore users consider the full set of possible demand scenarios). The problem is formulated based on previous work by Ziliaskopoulos (Transp Sci 34(1):37–49, 2000). The resulting novel formulation requires substantial enhancement to account for path-based flows and scenario-based stochastic demands. Further, a numerical demonstration is presented on a network with different demand loading profiles. Finally, model complexity, implications on scalability and future research directions are discussed.  相似文献

An advanced 0.5-μm CMOS disposable lightly doped drain (LDD) spacer technology has been developed. This 0.5-μm CMOS technology features surface-channel LDD NMOS and PMOS devices, n+/p+ poly gates, 125-A-thick gate oxide, and Ti-salicided source/drain/gate regions. Using only two masking steps, the NMOS and PMOS LDD spacers are defined separately to provide deep arsenic n+ regions for lower salicided junction leakage, while simultaneously providing shallow phosphorus n- and boron p- regions for improved device short-channel effects. Additionally, the process allows independent adjustment of the LDD and salicide spacers to optimize the LDD design while avoiding salicide bridging of source/drain to gate regions. The results indicate extrapolated DC hot-carrier lifetimes in excess of 10 years for a 0.3-μm electrical channel-length NMOS device operated at a power-supply voltage of 3.3 V  相似文献

The insufficient strategies to improve electronic transport, the poor intrinsic chemical activities, and limited active site densities are all factors inhibiting MXenes from their electrocatalytic applications in terms of hydrogen production. Herein, these limitations are overcome by tunable interfacial chemical doping with a nonmetallic electron donor, i.e., phosphorization through simple heat‐treatment with triphenyl phosphine (TPP) as a phosphorous source in 2D vanadium carbide MXene. Through this process, substitution, and/or doping of phosphorous occurs at the basal plane with controllable chemical compositions (3.83–4.84 at%). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate that the P? C bonding shows the lowest surface formation energy (ΔGSurf) of 0.027 eV Å?2 and Gibbs free energy (ΔGH) of –0.02 eV, whereas others such as P‐oxide and P? V (phosphide) show highly positive ΔGH. The P3–V2CTx treated at 500 °C shows the highest concentration of P? C bonds, and exhibits the lowest onset overpotential of –28 mV, Tafel slope of 74 mV dec?1, and the smallest overpotential of ‐163 mV at 10 mA cm?2 in 0.5 m H2SO4. The first strategy for electrocatalytically accelerating hydrogen evolution activity of V2CTx MXene by simple interfacial doping will open the possibility of manipulating the catalytic performance of various MXenes.  相似文献

A method for determining a type of pore-size distribution from diffusion measurements is presented. A Wicke-Kallenbach experiment, for measuring diffusion fluxes within porous materials, is carried out over a significant portion of the transition range between Knudsen flow and bulk diffusion. If the internal porous structure of the material is modeled as myriad nonintersecting cylindrical pores, an equation may be derived for the flux as a function of pressure, in which the flux is a functional of the pore-size distribution. The equation is a Fredholm integral equation of the first kind. This is an application of the general inversion problem, and solution of the equation for the pore-size distribution is possible. It is demonstrated from calculated fluxes using postulated ideal distributions that the method works very well for both unimodal and bimodal distributions. The method is not extraordinarily sensitive to experimental error. The pore-size distribution obtained using this method embodies not only the sizes of the pores, but includes other properties affecting diffusion rates, such as pore shapes, directions, and interconnectivities.  相似文献

A consumer study was conducted to determine palatability ratings of beef tenderloin steaks from USDA Choice, USDA Select, and USDA Select with marbling scores from Slight 50 to 100 (USDA High Select) cooked to various degrees of doneness. Steaks were randomly assigned to 1 of 3 degree of doneness categories: very‐rare, medium‐rare, or well‐done. Consumers (N = 315) were screened for preference of degree of doneness and fed 4 samples of their preferred doneness (a warm‐up and one from each USDA quality grade treatment in a random order). Consumers evaluated steaks on an 8‐point verbally anchored hedonic scale for tenderness, juiciness, flavor, and overall like as well as rated steaks as acceptable or unacceptable for all palatability traits. Quality grade had no effect (P > 0.05) on consumer ratings for tenderness, juiciness, flavor, and overall like scores, with all traits averaging above a 7 (“like very much”) on the 8‐point scale. In addition, no differences (P > 0.05) were found in the percentage of samples rated as acceptable for all palatability traits, with more than 94% of samples rated acceptable for each trait in all quality grades evaluated. Steaks cooked to well‐done had lower (P < 0.05) juiciness scores than steaks cooked to very‐rare or medium‐rare and were rated lower for tenderness (P < 0.05) than steaks cooked to a very‐rare degree of doneness. Results indicate consumers were not able to detect differences in tenderness, juiciness, flavor, or overall like among beef tenderloin steaks from USDA Choice and Select quality grades.  相似文献
