The paper presented assessment of sealed fire states in underground coal mines by so-called "fire characteristic", which graphically described tendencies of fire gas components - oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons - in time. In order to mark gas components tendencies in time the authors applied the time series analysis. The case studied confirmed, that analysis of fire gas components tendencies in time and their correlation allow to elicit proper conclusions about fire state assessment. Assessment of fire states based on single value of fire indexes without considering their trends in time and correlation between trends of gas components would give wrong results. The suggested method can appropriately indicate fire states in a sealed area.  相似文献

One of the possible alternatives for creating materials for the regeneration of bone tissue supporting comprehensive reconstruction is the incorporation of active substances whose controlled release will improve this process. This systematic review aimed to identify and synthesize in vitro studies that assess the suitability of polyphenolics as additives to polymer-ceramic composite bone regeneration materials. Data on experimental studies in terms of the difference in mechanical, wettability, cytocompatibility, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of materials were synthesized. The obtained numerical data were compiled and analyzed in search of percentage changes of these parameters. The results of the systematic review were based on data from forty-six studies presented in nineteen articles. The addition of polyphenolic compounds to composite materials for bone regeneration improved the cytocompatibility and increased the activity of early markers of osteoblast differentiation, indicating a high osteoinductive potential of the materials. Polyphenolic compounds incorporated into the materials presumably give them high antioxidant properties and reduce the production of reactive oxygen species in macrophage cells, implying anti-inflammatory activity. The evidence was limited by the number of missing data and the heterogeneity of the data.  相似文献

Alzheimer’s disease is a fatal neurodegenerative malady which up to very recently did not have approved therapy modifying its course. After controversial approval of aducanumab (monoclonal antibody clearing β-amyloid plaques) by FDA for use in very early stages of disease, possibly new avenue opened for the treatment of patients. In line with this approach is search for compounds blocking aggregation into amyloid oligomers subsequently forming fibrils or compounds helping in getting rid of plaques formed by β-amyloid fibrils. Here we present in silico work on 627 sixtapeptide β-sheet breakers (BSBs) containing consecutive three aromatic residues. Three of these BSBs caused dissociation of one or two β-amyloid chains from U-shaped β-amyloid protofibril model 2BEG after docking and subsequent molecular dynamics simulations. Thorough analysis of our results let us postulate that the first steps of binding these successful BSBs involve π–π interactions with stacked chains of F19 and later also with F20 (F3 and F4 in 2BEG model of protofibril). The consecutive location of aromatic residues in BSBs makes them more attractive for chains of stacked F3 and F4 within the 2BEG model. Spotted by us, BSBs may be prospective lead compounds for an anti-Alzheimer’s therapy.  相似文献

This article presents the results of investigations on the pulverizing grinding energy requirements for whole and preliminary ground wheat kernels regarding different moisture levels. Four common wheat cultivars (Triticum aestivum, ssp. vulgare) differing in kernel hardness were used for tests. When the moisture of kernels ranged from 14% to 20% w.b. the lower values of average particle size were obtained for preliminary ground wheat. The pulverizing energy requirements expressed by different grinding indices were considerably lower for preliminary ground kernels rather than for whole kernels. The values of specific pulverizing energy ranged from 32.6 to 79.0 kJ kg−1 for whole kernels, whereas the values of total specific grinding energy (the sum of specific grinding energy and specific pulverizing energy) changed from 23.1 to 44.4 kJ kg−1 for the two-stage ground wheat. In addition, the other values of pulverizing indices confirmed that preliminary size reduction significantly reduced the grinding energy requirements.  相似文献

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) modulates prostaglandin (PG) synthesis via LPA receptor 3 (LPAR3) in the murine endometrium. The lack of functional LPAR3 in mice may lead to embryo mortality. In the present study, we examined the role of LPA in the bovine uterus. We confirmed that LPA is locally produced and released from the bovine endometrium. Moreover, there are enzymes involved in LPA synthesis (phospholipase (PL) D(2) and PLA2G1B) in the bovine endometrium during estrous cycle and early pregnancy. Expression of the receptor for LPA (LPAR1) was positively correlated with the expression of PGE(2) synthase (PGES) and negatively correlated with the expression of PGF(2alpha) synthase (aldose reductase with 20 alpha-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase activity - PGFS) during early pregnancy. In vivo LPA induced P4 and PGE(2) secretion was inhibited by LPAR1 antagonist (Ki16425). The overall results indicate that LPA is locally produced and released from the bovine endometrium. Moreover, LPAR1 gene expression in the endometrium during the estrous cycle and early pregnancy indicates that LPA may play autocrine and/or paracrine roles in the bovine uterus. LPAR1 gene expression is positively correlated with the expression of the enzyme responsible for luteotropic PGE(2) production (PGES) in endometrium. In cow, LPA stimulates P4 and PGE(2) secretion. Thus, LPA in the bovine reproductive tract may indirectly (via endometrium) or directly support corpus luteum action via the increase of P4 synthesis and the increase of PGE(2)/PGF(2)(alpha) ratio. It suggests that LPA may serve as an important factor in the maintenance of early pregnancy in cow.  相似文献

Different types of breads enriched with onion skin were studied. The objectives were twofold: to show and examine protein–phenolic interactions and to discuss results concerning phenolic content, antioxidant activity and protein digestibility in the light of in vitro bioaccessibility. Phenolic contents and antiradical abilities were linked with the level of onion skin supplement however, the amounts determined were significantly lower than expected. Fortification influenced protein digestibility (a reduction from 78.4% for control breads to 55% for breads with a 4% supplement). Electrophoretic and chromatographic studies showed the presence of indigestible protein–flavonoid complexes – with molecular weights about 25 kDa and 14.5 kDa; however, the reduction of free amino group levels and the increase in chromatogram areas suggest that flavonoids also bind to other bread proteins. The interaction of phenolics with proteins affects antioxidant efficacy and protein digestibility; thus, they have multiple effects on food quality and pro-health properties.  相似文献
