To investigate whether tachykinins are released in the airways in response to stimulation of the esophagus, we studied the airway plasma extravasation induced by intraesophageal HCl in the presence or absence of neutral endopeptidase inhibitor phosphoramidon and NK1-receptor antagonist FK-888 in anesthetized guinea pigs. The airway plasma leakage was evaluated by measuring extravasated Evans blue dye in the animals pretreated with propranolol and atropine. Infusion of 1 N HCl into the esophagus significantly increased plasma extravasation in the trachea. Phosphoramidon significantly potentiated plasma extravasation in the trachea and main bronchi, whereas FK-888 significantly inhibited that extravasation in a dose-related manner. In the capsaicin-treated animals, airway plasma extravasation was completely inhibited even in the presence of phosphoramidon. Tracheal plasma extravasation potentiated by phosphoramidon was significantly inhibited in the bilateral vagotomized animals. These results suggest that 1) tachykinin-like substances are released to cause plasma extravasation in the airways as a result of intraesophageal HCl stimulation and 2) there are neural pathways communicating between the esophagus and airways, including the vagus nerve. 相似文献

Large diamagnetic transitions along with sharp resistive transitions were observed in the La-Sr-Nb-O system near room temperature (290 K). The amplitude of the diamagnetism reaches 35% of that of a pure Nb sheet. In addition, a behavior similar to weak magnetic spin ordering was observed for some samples at a temperature of about 290 K, over a temperature range of 30 K. The diamagnetism reappears above this temperature and continues up toT 320 K. It is not clear what composition ratio of La-Sr-Nb-O is responsible for this large diamagnetism and the high critical temperature. The yield probability of these samples is around 50%. Characteristics of sol-gel derived PZT thin films with lead oxide cover layers and lead titanate interlayers 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The sol-gel derived PbZr0.53Ti0.47O3 (PZT) films were fabricated on the bare Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates or the same substrates coated by the PbTiO3 (PT) interlayers. The post-deposition annealing temperature and time were optimized when the PbO cover layers and PbO vapour-containing atmosphere were compared with each other and adopted as the method to diminish the lead-loss problem during the high-temperature post-deposition annealing. The X-ray diffraction patterns, microstructures, and electrical properties such as relative permittivity, r, remanent polarization, P
r, and coercive electrical field, E
c, were investigated in relation to the annealing conditions. The PZT films deposited on the bare Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates under the PbO vapour-containing atmosphere showed better electrical properties. This indicates that the PbO vapour-containing atmosphere may be the better method of lead-loss-prevention to process the lead-containing films rather than the PbO cover layer method. The electrical characteristics of the PZT films, r=1150, a dissipation factor of 0.039, P
r=26 C cm–2, and E
c=40.5 kV cm–1 were measured at 1 kHz. When PZT films were deposited on substrates coated by the PT layers, PZT-PT films with single perovskite phase were derived by post-deposition annealing at 500 °C for 1 h. However, the relative electrical properties are very poor, i.e. E

r=2.0 C cm–2 and E
c=75 kVcm–1. The optimum combination for preparing PZT-PT films is a 40 nm PbTiO3 interlayer and annealing conditions of 6 h at 550 °C in a PbO vapour-containing atmosphere; the derived films exhibit electrical properties of E
r=885, P
r=21.5 C cm–2 and E
c=64 kV cm–1. The combination of inserting a PT interlayer and annealing in a PbO vapour-containing atmosphere can prevent the formation of electrical short paths. In this case, nearly pin-hole-free PZT films can be grown on the PT (interlayer) /Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si substrates. The information accessible through the Internet is increasing explosively as the Web is getting more and more widespread.
In this situation, the Web is indispensable information resource for both of information gathering and information searching.
Though traditional information retrieval techniques have been applied to information gathering and searching in the Web, they
are insufficient for this new form of information source. Fortunately some Al techniques can be straightforwardly applicable
to such tasks in the Web, and many researchers are trying this approach. In this paper, we attempt to describe the current
state of information gathering and searching technologies in the Web, and the application of AI techniques in the fields.
Then we point out limitations of these traditional and AI approaches and introduce two aapproaches: navigation planning and
a Mondou search engine for overcoming them. The navigation planning system tries to collect systematic knowledge, rather than
Web pages, which are only pieces of knowledge. The Mondou search engine copes with the problems of the query expansion/modification
based on the techniques of text/web mining and information visualization.

The quality of population-based cancer registries has been measured by the indices of the proportion of total incident cases (DCO%) registered by death certificate only (DCO), and the ratio of incidence to mortality (I/D ratio). Recently it has been recommended that DCO% should be used as an index for the reliability of diagnosing cancers and that the proportion of cases first notified via death certificate (DCN, DCN%) be used as an index for the completeness of registration. Parkin introduced a method to estimate the registration rate, the estimated proportion of the "true incidence" that are registered in population-based registries. We recommend a modified method for estimating the registration rate for cancer registries where DCN% is relatively high, as it is in Japan, as Parkin's method may overestimate the registration rate. The method is as follows: the registration rate = (1-DCN% x 1/D ratio)/(1-DCN%). The registration rates at the Osaka Cancer Registry between 1966 and 1992 were estimated using our method. During this period, the yearly registration rate was 74.6-78.4% for males and 69.1-73.3% for females. When the cancer cases were looked at according to site, the yearly registration rate was 74.2-81.6% for stomach cancer, 81.2-89.3% for lung cancer, and 71.3-76.9% for uterine cancer. These results show that the registration rate is high for cancers that have an unfavorable prognosis and low for cancers that have a favorable prognosis. We recommend that all cancer registries in Japan calculate the completeness of registration by utilizing DCN defined as the sum of DCO plus cases not reported as cancer but with supportive clinical information of such obtained through survey of the registry for DCN. 相似文献

The formation of Schardinger ß-dextrin from starch by an alkalophilic Bacillus sp. (ATCC 21783) has been studied. Factors affecting the yield of cyclodextrins include the type, concentration, and dispersion of the starch; the time of the enzymolysis, the amount of enzyme used. A method for the preparation of Schardinger ß-dextrin on a industrial scale without using precipitants was devised. The final yield of ß-cyclodextrin was 3.6 kg from 15 kg of potato starch. 相似文献
