Thermal buckling of functionally graded sandwich plates are presented in this article. Two common types of FGM sandwich plates, namely, homogeneous face layers with FGM core and FGM face layers with homogeneous core are considered. Material properties and thermal expansion coe?cient of FGM layers are assumed to vary continuously through-the-thickness according to a simple power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. Equilibrium and stability equations of FGM sandwich plate with simply supported boundary conditions are derived using the higher-order shear deformation plate theory. The influence of the plate aspect ratio, the relative thickness, the gradient index, and the thermal loading conditions on the critical buckling temperature of FGM sandwich plates are investigated. The thermal loads are assumed to be uniform, linear, and nonlinear distribution through-the-thickness. A new simple solution for thermal buckling of FGM sandwich plates under nonlinear temperature rise is presented. 相似文献

This article deals with the study of the thermodynamic behavior of functionally graded material plates resting on two-parameter elastic foundation. An analytical solution based on a new shear refined deformation theory is presented. The displacement field used in the present refined theory contains undetermined integral forms and involves only four unknowns to derive. The plate is assumed simply supported and subjected to two different temperatures fields across its thickness. The mechanical characteristics of the plate are assumed to be varied across the thickness according to a simple exponential law distribution. The governing equations and boundary conditions are derived using the principle of virtual displacements and Navier solution technique is adopted to derive analytical solutions. Uniform and regular silicon nanowires (SiNWs) arrays are fabricated on both sides of solar grade silicons (SiGS) by silver assist-electrochemical etching. SiNWs arrays exhibit an excellent antireflection character with an overall reflectance of 2% in the range from 300 to 1000 nm. More importantly, the effective lifetimes of the symmetric SiNWs/Si structures decreased due to the high densities of dangling bonds and surface defects. Surface passivation to overcome lifetime degradation is realized by means of rapid thermal oxidation (RTO). Following rapid oxidation, Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy reveals that oxygen diffusion is enhanced inside silicon nanowires where the morphological structure is preserved during RTO. Moreover, it is shown that even the rapid thermal oxidation process is not effective to recover initial τeff due to the high density of imperfections involved during nanowires formation and the contamination level induced by silver. The interdiffusion between residual silver and metal contaminants in the core of the nanowire can probably limit the passivation effect due to the segregation of metal atoms at SiO2 and to the redistribution of both impurities across the wire. 相似文献

The present study focuses on the optimization of solar tower power plant heliostat field by considering different heliostat shapes including rectangular, square, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, octagon, and circular heliostat shapes. The optimization is carried out using an in-house developed code-based MATLAB program. The developed in-house code is validated first on a well-known PS10 Solar Thermal Power plant having rectangular heliostats shape and the resulting yearly unweighted heliostat field efficiency of about 64.43% could be obtained. The optimized PS10 heliostat field using different heliostat shapes showed that the circular and octagon heliostat shapes provide better efficiency with minimum land area. The yearly efficiency is increased from 69.65% for the rectangular heliostat shape to 70.96% and 71% for the octagon and circular shapes, respectively. In addition, the calculated field area (land area) is reduced for the case of circular and octagon heliostat shapes with a gain of about 11.10% and 10.93% (about 42.0436 × 103 and 41.4036 × 103 m2), respectively, in comparison with the PS10 field area. 相似文献

We reported previously that high hydrostatic pressure-injured stationary phase cells of Escherichia coli K-12 lost their intrinsic deoxycholate tolerance. The AcrAB-TolC multi-drug resistance pump driven by proton motive force has been argued to be responsible for the tolerance to deoxycholate. In this report, we tested the sensitivity of the AcrAB-TolC (three components) pump to high hydrostatic pressure treatment (HPT). E. coli K-12 treated with HPT became sensitive to AcrAB-TolC-specific drugs such as ethidium bromide, but not to tetracycline which is pumped out by a one-component transporter, Tet. Only E. coli K-12 overproducing both AcrAB and TolC exhibited restored tolerance to deoxycholate after HPT but not E. coli overproducing either TolC or AcrAB. These observations strongly suggest that three-component pumps such as AcrAB-TolC are more susceptible to HPT than one-component pumps such as Tet, resulting in the differential loss of deoxycholate tolerance in high hydrostatic pressure-injured E. coli cells. 相似文献

The aluminium (Al) content of 105 samples, including bakery products made with baking powder, agricultural products and seafoods treated with alum, was investigated. The amounts of Al detected were as follows (limit of quantification: 0.01 mg/g): 0.01-0.37 mg/g in 26 of 57 bakery products, 0.22-0.57 mg/g in 3 of 6 powder mixes, 0.01-0.05 mg/g in all three agricultural products examined, 0.03-0.90 mg/g in 4 of 6 seafood samples, 0.01-0.03 mg/g in 3 of 11 samples of instant noodles, 0.04-0.14 mg/g in 3 of 4 samples of vermicelli, 0.01 mg/g in 1 of 16 soybean products, but none in soybeans. Amounts equivalent to the PTWI of a 16 kg infant were detected in two samples of bakery products, two samples of powder mixes and one sample of salted jellyfish, if each sample was taken once a week. These results suggest that certain foods, depending on the product and the intake, might exceed the PTWI of children, especially infants. 相似文献
