Aminopeptidases in cells of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of varying degrees of malignancy and in lymphogranulomatosis

26 cases of lymphoproliferative diseases were studied: 8 cases of reactive follicular hyperplasia (RFH), 11 cases of non-Hodgkin's malignant lymphomas (NML), 7 cases of lymphogranulomatosis (LGM). Only gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) was found in lymphoid cells of B- and T-dependent areas of lymph nodes with reactive changes as well as in tumor cells of NML and LGM. GGT activity was more pronounced in NML of high-grade malignancy (centroblast and immunoblast) as compared to lymphomas of lower grade of malignancy (lymphocytic, centroblast-centrocytic and in Lennert lymphoma). GGT activity in cells of Hodgkin and Berezovsky-Sterberg in some cases of LGM was high, in others low. Significant differences in GGT activity between RFH and follicular centroblast-centrocytic lymphoma were not found. Activity of aminopeptidase M was observed in histiocytes, fibroblasts, vessels and areas of connective tissue growth. Aminopeptidase A activity was observed in vessels only. Activity of dipeptidyl(amino)peptidase IV was observed in some lymphoid cells in RFH, NML and LGM. Thus, GGT activity may be considered as a differential-diagnostic marker in separating NML of high and low degree of malignancy and this may presume a different sensitivity to the therapy.     

Validation of an inhibition ELISA using a monoclonal antibody for foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) primary diagnosis

An inhibition ELISA (IH-ELISA) test for foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) was validated using 106 epithelial samples from suspected cases of FMD in Argentina submitted to the Argentine National Diagnostics Laboratory (GELAB) over a period of 12 months and examined in parallel with the complement fixation test (CFT). IH-ELISA was found to be more sensitive, detecting 25% (26 samples) more FMDV positives than the CFT in original suspensions of field samples. The effect of storage conditions on 12S stability was examined. Plates stored at 4 degrees C blocked with 1% ovalbumin and plates stored at -20 degrees C with or without blocking buffer could be used for at least 90 days. When various brands of polystyrene plates were compared for 12ps adsorption it was found that those microplates of higher binding capacity were more efficient.     

Congenital chylothorax in siblings

We describe two cases of congenital chylothorax in siblings with important differences from previously described familial cases. Our findings support the likelihood of an autosomal recessive inheritance in some cases of this condition, rather than X-linked recessive inheritance, which has also been suggested. Autopsy findings from one of these cases and others previously described suggest that the pathophysiological mechanisms involved may be variable.

Oral health assessment in dogs: study design and results

The authors have conducted a large number of canine dental studies during the past six years. Study methodologies have been driven by the need for statistical validation of results, requiring the participation of large numbers of animals in each study. For plaque, stain, and calculus evaluations, a "clean tooth" model was used, in which formation of these substrates was assessed days to weeks after an initial coronal cleaning. A primary goal of the studies described was to validate the study designs used--that is, to use accepted plaque-, calculus-, and stain-controlling agents to test whether the study methods could detect differences between treated and untreated groups. The results of clinical studies show that the methods described can be used to identify plaque, calculus, and stain control attributable to chemical agents, oral hygiene aids, and consumable products.     

The complement-activating action of modern x-ray contrast agents

The study conducted proved that triombrast (dose dependently) > hexabrics > Ultravist > or = melitrast = omnipac in a concentration interval of 0.03-30.0 mg iodine/ml in vitro and in a dose interval of 0.5-2.0 g iodine/kg in vivo activate the complement system (CS) according to the alternative way in the blood of "sensitive" rats. The degree of CS activation by radiopaque agents (ROA) is significantly determined mathematically by their viscosity and relation of the number of iodine atoms to the number of ions or dissolved particles, and by their hydrophilic (for nonion CS) and osmotic (for ion monomeric CS) properties.     

基于SL811的嵌入式USB主机研究与设计

针对USB主机嵌入式的需求,研究和设计了基于SL811的嵌入式USB主机系统。通过USB主从控制芯片SL811,把一个基于ARM7的嵌入式系统做成一个带USB接口的主机。用C语言编写USB主机驱动程序,通过交叉编译器arm-linux-gcc和arm-elf-tools分别对U-Boot和uCLinux进行移植及编译,从而实现嵌入式USB主机对U盘的读写操作。     

Diagnostic value of the reaction of morphological dissociation of clotted blood (RMDCB) in nonspecific pneumonias and lung cancer

The authors studied separate parameters of the reaction of morphological dissociation of clotted blood in 97 patients, 83 of them suffering chronic nonspecific pneumonia and 14--lung cancer. Such RMDCB tests as the amount of the third fraction of blood coagulation (TFCB), the time of TFCB sediment formation and "the prognostic index" are found to be of certain diagnostic value, and along with other laboratory tests and clinical symptoms these allowed a differentiation between chronic nonspecific pneumonia and lung cancer.     

基于高海拔地区的大气中子单粒子效应实时测量试验研究

开展65 nm高速大容量静态随机存取存储器（SRAM）大气中子单粒子效应特性及试验评价技术研究,基于4 300 m高海拔地区大面积器件阵列实时测量试验,突破效应甄别、智能远程测控等关键技术,在153 d的试验时间内共观测到错误43次,其中器件内单粒子翻转39次,多单元翻转（MCU）在单粒子翻转中占比23%,最大的MCU为9位。对高能中子、热中子和封装α粒子的贡献比例进行了分析,并基于多地中子通量数据,推演得到北京地面和10 km高空应用时的单位翻转（SBU）和MCU失效率（FIT）。发现地面处软错误的主要诱因为封装α粒子,随着海拔的增高,大气中子对软错误的贡献比例明显增大;MCU全部由高能中子引起,北京10 km高空处的MCU FIT值明显增大,其占比由地面的8%增大至26%。结合器件版图布局,对MCU产生机理进行了深入分析。最后,提出一种目标导向的存储器软错误加固策略优化方法。     

电子元器件的贮存可靠性及评价技术

综述了国内外元器件的贮存可靠性研究现状,分析了元器件贮存失效模式及原因,表明减少元器件自身缺陷、改善固有可靠性是提高其贮存可靠性的关键。并从应用性角度出发,对现场贮存、长期自然贮存试验、极限应力、加速贮存寿命试验等贮存可靠性评价技术进行了对比分析。
