A full-rate multiplexer (MUX) with a multiphase clock architecture for over 40 Gbit/s optical communication systems is presented. The 4:1 MUX is comprised of a re-timer based on a D-type flip-flop (DFF) and a clock tree system that uses EXOR-type delay buffers to match its skews well to those of the data. The supply voltage is reduced to -1.5 V by analyzing the voltage allocation. Fabricated in a 0.13-mum InP HEMT technology, a DFF test circuit achieved 75-Gbit/s operation and exhibited performance sufficient to re-time 50-Gbit/s serialized data. The 4:1 MUX measurement results demonstrate successful 50-Gbit/s operation at room temperature, and 40-Gbit/s operation, which has 10-11 error free for 231 - 1 pseudorandom bit stream (PRBS) data, up to an ambient temperature of 90 degrees or down to - 1.24 V of supply voltage. The circuit consumes 450 mW at a - 1.5-V supply and exhibits an output jitter of 283 fs rms at 50-Gbit/s operation. A 1-Gb/s/pin 512-Mb DDRII SDRAM has been developed using a digital delay-locked loop (DLL) and a slew-rate-controlled output buffer. The digital DLL has a frequency divider for DLL input, performs at an operating frequency of up to 500 MHz at 1.6 V, and provides internal clocking with 50% duty-cycle correction. The DLL has a current-mirror-type interpolator, which enables a resolution as high as 14 ps, needs no standby current, and can operate at voltages as low as 0.8 V. Security service level agreements (SSLAs) provide a systematic way for end users at home or in the office to guarantee sufficient security level when doing business or exchanging sensitive personal or organizational data with an online service. In this paper, we propose an SSLA negotiation protocol that implements non‐repudiation with cryptographic identities and digital signatures and includes features that make it resistant to denial of service attacks. The basic version of the protocol does not rely on the use of a trusted third party, and it can be used for all kinds of simple negotiations. For the negotiation about SSLAs, the protocol provides an option to use an external knowledge base that may help the user in the selection of suitable security measures. We have implemented a prototype of the system, which uses JSON Web Signature for the message exchange and made some performance tests with it. The results show that the computational effort required by the cryptographic operations of the negotiation protocol remains at a reasonable level. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

A development of 170GHz/500kW level gyrotron was carried out as R&D work of ITER. The oscillation mode is TE31,8. In a short pulse experiment, the maximum power of 750kW was achieved at 85kV/40A. The efficiency was 22%. In the depressed collector operation, 500kW/36%/50ms was obtained. The maximum efficiency of 40% was obtained at PRF=470kW whereas the power decrease by the electron trapping was observed. Pulse extension was done up to 10s at PRF=170kW with the depressed collector operation. The power was limited by the temperature increase of the output window. 相似文献

Routing design of tree‐shaped local public communication networks with high reliability and low cost
This paper discusses reliability problems for local public communication networks such as cable television networks and the
subscriber‐loops of telecommunication networks. They have tree‐shapes and expand continuously as new customers join. By introducing
a simple model, it is shown that most principal reliability measures and cost measures for such networks can be described
through the networks' graphical characteristic quantities. Extensive simulations show that the prior provision of trunk pipes
and a suitable choice of the route selecting rule for new customers are effective in constructing a highly reliable network
with low cost.

A novel photoconductive AND gate that overcomes the problems of: 1) the long tail of photoconductive switches and 2) signal leakage via switch capacitance (signal feedthrough) is proposed. We use Be-doped low-temperature (LT)-grown InGaAs-InAlAs MQW metal-semiconductor-metal photodetectors (MSM-PD's) to get a shorter turn-off time and propose a differential AND gate to cancel the signal feedthrough. A comparison between LT-grown MSM-PD's and those fabricated by ion implantation shows that the LT-grown ones are ultrafast with a full width at half maximum of 5.3 ps and are suitable for low-bias operation. It is experimentally confirmed that the differential AND gate completely cancels the signal feedthrough in the picosecond region. Optical amplifier techniques have led to the installation of large-capacity submarine systems and further capacity increases seem likely. This paper reviews the FSA submarine system, which flexibly operates at both 2.5 and 10 Gb/s and offers maximum transmission capacity of 60 Gb/s for commercial use. The system configuration as well as its characteristics and upgradability will be introduced, including measurement results on time-division-multiplexing/wavelength-division-multiplexing (TDM–WDM) transmission at bit rates of 10 and 20 Gb/s using non-return-to-zero or soliton pulses. To further increase transmission capacity, TDM–WDM techniques that permit more than 10 Gb/s signal transmission in each data channel should be developed. Thus, pulse formats, which include non-return-to-zero, return-to-zero, or soliton pulses, and dispersion allocation in transmission fibers are significant issues. We introduce and discuss our recent results from high-speed (10 to 40 Gb/s) TDM–WDM signal transmission experiments with regard to the above aspects. 相似文献

An adaptive control optimization system was developed to produce a desired surface finish roughness by automatic control of the work-piece feed-rate in circular sawing. The system developed in this study consists of the interconnection of an adaptive controller with a numerically controlled circular saw. The AE signals and cutting forces were measured to monitor the machining process continuously in this system. The signals were provided to the adaptive controller to evaluate the surface finish roughness and adjust the workpiece feed-rate automatically in the machining process. Sensing of AE signals and of cutting forces was compared to determine which technique is more convenient. Experiments were carried out with a carbide-tipped circular saw. Cross cutting was done with counter-cutting during the experiments. The cutting parameters controlled were workpiece feed-rates and cutting speeds. Japanese beech (Fagus crenata Blume) and Yezo spruce (Picea jezoensis Carr.) were used as the workpiece. Experimental results indicated that adaptive control optimization took place in the system developed for circular sawing. The desired surface finish roughness was produced by automatic control of the workpiece feed-rate using the sensing technique of AE signals as well as that of cutting force.
