Radiotherapy is a definitive treatment for early-stage cervical cancer; however, a subset of this disease recurs locally, necessitating establishment of predictive biomarkers and treatment strategies. To address this issue, we performed gene panel-based sequencing of 18 stage IB cervical cancers treated with definitive radiotherapy, including two cases of local recurrence, followed by in vitro and in silico analyses. Simultaneous mutations in KRAS and SMAD4 (KRASmt/SMAD4mt) were detected only in a local recurrence case, indicating potential association of this mutation signature with radioresistance. In isogenic cell-based experiments, a combination of activating KRAS mutation and SMAD4 deficiency led to X-ray resistance, whereas either of these factors alone did not. Analysis of genomic data from 55,308 cancers showed a significant trend toward co-occurrence of mutations in KRAS and SMAD4. Gene Set Enrichment Analysis of the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia dataset suggested upregulation of the pathways involved in epithelial mesenchymal transition and inflammatory responses in KRASmt/SMAD4mt cancer cells. Notably, irradiation with therapeutic carbon ions led to robust killing of X-ray-resistant KRASmt/SMAD4mt cancer cells. These data indicate that the KRASmt/SMAD4mt signature is a potential predictor of radioresistance, and that carbon ion radiotherapy is a potential option to treat early-stage cervical cancers with the KRASmt/SMAD4mt signature.  相似文献

The H-control problem with a non-zero initial condition for infinite dimensional systems is considered The initial conditions are assumed to be in some subspace. First the H problem with full information is considered and necessary and sufficient conditions for the norm of an input-output operator to be less than a given number are obtained, The characterization of all admissible controllers is also given. This result is then used to solve the general H control problem and the filtering problem with initial uncertainty. The filtering problem on finite horizon involves the estimate of the state at final time. The set of all suboptimal filters is given both on finite and infinite horizons.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to evaluate simultaneously the time dependence of the thermal diffusivity of carbon-carbon composites (C/C composites) and their porosity during heat treatment using the electromagnetic ultrasonic technique. This paper describes two kinds of experiments conducted to confirm the principle for simultaneous measurement of both the ultrasonic velocity (used to evaluate the porosity) and the thermal diffusivity at room temperature. For each material, the samples used in both experiments were identical. The ultrasonic velocity of type 304 stainless steel and its thermal diffusivity were 5.85 km/s and 3.8 mm2/s with precisions of ±1.6 and ±8 percent, respectively. The ultrasonic velocity of a two-dimensional woven C/C composite and its thermal diffusivity were 2.86 km/s and 4.8 mm2/s with precisions of ±5.0 and ±8 percent, respectively. The results appear to indicate that the electromagnetic ultrasonic technique can measure the ultrasonic velocity and the thermal diffusivity simultaneously and that it is also applicable to C/C composites. © 1997 Scripta Technica, Inc. Diamond-like-carbon (DLC) coating of thickness 3 and 10 μm were developed with and without radical nitriding pretreatment on steel rollers and spur gear pair. The friction coefficient and wear amount were evaluated under sliding rolling contact condition in vacuum and under oil lubrication. Delamination of coatings was observed at the interface of the substrate. The wear resistance of coatings improved with the thickness of the coating. In vacuum both the roller and the gear pair of 10 μm coating thickness with radical nitriding showed identical wear behavior. The radical nitriding seemed to enhance the life of DLC coatings.  相似文献

Silicon nanowire (SiNW) arrays were prepared on silicon substrates by metal-assisted chemical etching and peeled from the substrates, and their optical properties were measured. The absorption coefficient of the SiNW arrays was higher than that for the bulk silicon over the entire region. The absorption coefficient of a SiNW array composed of 10-μm-long nanowires was much higher than the theoretical absorptance of a 10-μm-thick flat Si wafer, suggesting that SiNW arrays exhibit strong optical confinement. To reveal the reason for this strong optical confinement demonstrated by SiNW arrays, angular distribution functions of their transmittance were experimentally determined. The results suggest that Mie-related scattering plays a significant role in the strong optical confinement of SiNW arrays.  相似文献

TiN/TiAlN multilayers of 2 μm thickness were successfully prepared by reactive DC magnetron sputtering method. XRD pattern showed the (1 1 1) preferential orientation for both TiN and TiAlN layers. XPS characterization showed the presence of different phases like TiN, TiO2, TiON, AlN and Al2O3. Cross sectional TEM indicated the columnar growth of the coatings. The average RMS roughness value of 4.8 nm was observed from AFM analysis. TiN/TiAlN coating showed lower friction coefficient and lower wear rate than single layer coatings. The results of electrochemical experiments indicated that a TiN/TiAlN multilayer coating has superior corrosion resistance in 3.5% NaCl solution.  相似文献

Selective catalytic reduction of NO x by NH3 over Cu–FER and Cu–ZSM-5 in the presence of n-decane and SO2 was investigated. NO x conversion over Cu–ZSM-5 decreased in the presence of n-decane, owing to inhibition of the active sites by coke formation. In contrast, coke formation was negligible over Cu–FER, which maintained its NO x conversion activity even in the presence of decane. Coke formation was negligible over H–ZSM-5 and H–FER supports, which suggests that Cu species were involved in coke formation. Temperature-programmed reduction by H2 and electron spin resonance spectroscopy indicated that [Cu–O–Cu]2+ was probably the Cu species involved in coke formation over Cu–ZSM-5.  相似文献

High‐resolution synchrotron powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD) experiments were conducted to clarify the transformation of sillimanite to mullite (mullitization) and determine the mullitization temperature (Tc). We were able to distinguish sillimanite and mullite in the XRD patterns, despite their very similar crystallographic parameters, and to detect the appearance of small mullite peaks among sillimanite peaks. Analysis of the Johnson‐Mehl‐Avrami (JMA) equation for mullitization ratio (ζ) revealed that at temperatures T≥1240°C the mullitization had the same kinetics. The activation energy E at T≥1240°C obtained from the Arrhenius plot was 679.8 kJ mol?1. In analysis using a time‐temperature‐transformation diagram for mullitization, a mullitization curve of ζ=1% can be described as where t is time, n is a reaction‐mechanism‐dependent parameter determined as 0.324 by JMA‐analysis, k0 is the frequency factor, EA is the activation energy for atomic diffusion, and represents the activation energy for nucleation. The results of fitting the data to this equation were Tc=1199°C, A=3.9×106 kJ mol?1 K?2, EA=605 kJ mol?1, and k0=3.65×1015. We conclude that the boundary between sillimanite and mullite+SiO2 in the phase diagram is ~1200°C.  相似文献

This paper deals with the measurement of surface temperature on metal powder during the laser consolidation process with two-color pyrometer. Additionally, the aspect of selective laser sintering (SLS) and selective laser melting (SLM) of metal powder is visualized with high speed video camera. As a result, the surface temperature during the laser irradiation was ranged 1520–1810 °C and the consolidation phenomena was classified according to the melting point of metal powder. The metal powder at the heating process cohered intermittently to the melt pool although the laser beam was continuously irradiated to the powder surface.  相似文献

Biocompatible nanocomposite coatings can be synthesized to offer improved surface properties for biomaterials and biomedical implants. Nanocomposite coatings containing polypyrrole (PPy) matrix reinforced with functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes (f-CNTs) were deposited on 316L SS substrates using electrochemical route. FT-IR, XRD, SEM, and TEM were employed to characterize the nanocomposite microstructure. High resolution imaging showed relatively uniform dispersion of the CNTs in the nanocomposite with a typical tubular structure. Micro-indentation tests revealed improvement in the hardness of the PPy/CNTs coatings. Measurement of the contact angle indicated enhanced surface wettability of the nanocomposite coatings. The corrosion behavior of 316L SS samples coated with PPy/CNTs was studied in SBF medium. The corrosion potential and the breakdown potential of coated 316L SS substrates shifted to more noble values as compared to uncoated 316L SS samples. The results suggest that incorporating CNTs as reinforcements in PPy coatings can provide enhanced properties in terms of surface hardness, biocompatibility, and corrosion resistance.  相似文献
