In this study, the fabrication of Si nanostructures by Au and SiH4 co-deposition technique using hot-wire chemical vapor deposition was demonstrated. A high deposition rate of 2.7 nm/s and a high density of silicon nanostructures with a diameter of about 140 nm were obtained at Ts of 250 °C. An increase in Ts led to a significant reduction in the size of the nanostructures. However, coalescence on the nanostructures was observed at Ts of 400 °C. The Si nanostructures exhibited a highly crystalline structure, which was induced by Au crystallites. The crystallite size and crystallinity of the Si nanostructures amplified with the increase in Ts. The presence of nanostructures enhanced the surface roughness of the samples and clearly reduced the reflection, especially in the visible region.  相似文献

Because cartilage and bone tissues have different lineage‐specific biological properties, it is challenging to fabricate a single type of scaffold that can biologically fulfill the requirements for regeneration of these two lineages simultaneously within osteochondral defects. To overcome this challenge, a lithium‐containing mesoporous bioglass (Li‐MBG) scaffold is developed. The efficacy and mechanism of Li‐MBG for regeneration of osteochondral defects are systematically investigated. Histological and micro‐CT results show that Li‐MBG scaffolds significantly enhance the regeneration of subchondral bone and hyaline cartilage‐like tissues as compared to pure MBG scaffolds, upon implantation in rabbit osteochondral defects for 8 and 16 weeks. Further investigation demonstrates that the released Li+ ions from the Li‐MBG scaffolds may play a key role in stimulating the regeneration of osteochondral defects. The corresponding mechanistic pathways involve Li+ ions enhancing the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) through activation of the Wnt signalling pathway, as well as Li+ ions protecting chondrocytes and cartilage tissues from the inflammatory osteoarthritis (OA) environment through activation of autophagy. These findings suggest that the incorporation of Li+ ions into bioactive MBG scaffolds is a viable strategy for fabricating bi‐lineage conducive scaffolds that enhance regeneration of osteochondral defects.  相似文献

A highly flexible synthesis method for an arbitrary array is proposed to best approximate a desired array pattern in a minimum-mean-square-error sense. The basic idea of the technique is to form a quadratic program with its cost function given by the mean-square error between the array response and a properly selected pattern described by a known mathematical function. This quadratic program can be a constrained or unconstrained optimization problem depending on the requirements of the desired array pattern. In formulating the quadratic program, no assumption has been made on the gain/phase response or characteristics of the individual array elements. Therefore, one can synthesize an array of arbitrary shape to any appropriate pattern with the characteristic of the array elements taken into consideration as long as one is able to model the array accurately. The proposed method is used to synthesize arrays of different shapes, linear as well as planar arrays (including rectangular and circular planar arrays), using a Chebyshev polynomial or zero function as a design template, to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method  相似文献

Ten para-substituted N-phenylpyrrole polymers have been prepared by the chemical method. A mixture of polyvinylidene fluoride and carbon black as conducting adhesive has been used to study the electrochemical properties of the above polymers by means of cyclic voltammetry and double pulse chronoamperometry. Of the ten compounds studied, only the polymers with para-substituents H, CH3 and Cl demonstrate good electrochemical behaviour. The formal potentials, diffusion constants and electrochemical stability data derived from the above techniques are reported. Preliminary investigations on spectroelectrochemical, conductivity and e.s.r. measurements are discussed.  相似文献

The U(L)15 gene of herpes simplex virus (HSV) is one of several genes required for the packaging of viral DNA into intranuclear B capsids to produce C capsids that become enveloped at the inner nuclear membrane. A rabbit antiserum directed against U(L)15-encoded protein recognized three proteins with apparent Mrs of 79,000, 80,000, and 83,000 in highly purified B capsids. The 83,000-Mr protein was detected in type C capsids and comigrated with the product of a U(L)15 cDNA transcribed and translated in vitro. The 83,000- and 80,000-Mr proteins were readily detected in purified virions. Inasmuch as (i) none of these proteins were detectable in capsids purified from cells infected with HSV-1(deltaU(L)15), a virus lacking an intact U(L)15 gene, and (ii) corresponding proteins in capsids purified from cells infected with a recombinant virus [HSV-1(R7244), containing a 20-codon tag at the 3' end of U(L)15] were decreased in electrophoretic mobility relative to the wild-type proteins, we conclude that the proteins with apparent Mrs of 83,000, 80,000, and 79,000 are products of U(L)15 with identical C termini. The 79,000-, 80,000-, and 83,000-Mr proteins remained associated with B capsids in the presence of 0.5 M guanidine HCl and remained detectable in capsids treated with 2.0 M guanidine HCl and lacking proteins associated with the capsid core. These data, therefore, indicate that U(L)15-encoded proteins are integral components of B capsids. Only the 83,000-Mr protein was detected in B capsids purified from cells infected with viruses lacking the U(L)6, U(L)17, or U(L)28 genes, which are required for DNA cleavage and packaging, suggesting that capsid association of the 80,000- and 79,000-Mr proteins requires intact cleavage and packaging machinery. These data, therefore, indicate that capsid association of the 80,000- and 79,000-Mr U(L)15-encoded proteins reflects a previously unrecognized step in the DNA cleavage and packaging reaction.  相似文献

Over recent years the number of calls made to the emergency services has significantly increased. The majority of this increase is derived from mobile calls and in many countries the proportion of mobile-originated calls is over 50%. Despatching emergency services is expedited if the location of the caller can be swiftly obtained. This involves the emergency call-handling centres working closely with telecommunications operators. The initiatives that have driven the provision of caller location are described as well as the associated standards. An overview of the technical requirements for mobile location is also given.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the characteristics of a quantum-well intermixing technique using pulsed-photoabsorption-induced disordering. Photoluminescence, micro-Raman spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy were used to characterize the process. Using this technique, a differential wavelength shift between the intermixed and nonintermixed regions of over 160 nm has been observed from InGaAs-InGaAsP heterostructures. It was found from the micro-Raman measurements that a spatial resolution of better than 2.5 /spl mu/m can be achieved. A theoretical model has been developed to estimate the spatial resolution limit. Theoretical analysis has also been performed to investigate the effect of laser irradiation on the degree of intermixing in InGaAs-InGaAsP structures. To verify the capability of this process in monolithic photonic integration, high-quality bandgap tuned lasers, two-section extended cavity lasers, and multiple-wavelength laser chips have been fabricated.  相似文献

In this contribution, the problem of accurately representing thin wires within the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) mesh is addressed by means of a method based on the weighted residual (WR) interpretation of the FDTD algorithm. Results for wire dipoles and wire transmission lines, obtained using the proposed method, are presented and compared to those obtained using existing techniques. It is shown that the proposed method yields results which are more accurate and are less dependent on the choice of cell size than other approaches and, in addition, lends itself well to being extended for more complicated structures. Techniques for minimizing the input current distortion of current-controlled single-phase boost rectifiers are described. The switching patterns of several boost rectifiers are examined to identify the nature of their input current waveforms. This analysis is used to examine the low-frequency current distortion levels, and hence the power quality, associated with the rectifiers. A PWM (pulse width modulation) strategy that selectively switches between positive unipolar PWM and negative unipolar PWM, called phase-adjusted unipolar PWM, is shown to produce the lowest current distortion levels. A novel two-switch asymmetrical half-bridge rectifier is presented that draws an input current at a unity fundamental power factor and with the same low distortion as obtained with the four-switch H-bridge rectifier. The operation of the various rectifiers is examined with reference to theoretical predictions, circuit simulations, and experimental results. This analysis is used to compare the performances of the various rectifier switching patterns  相似文献

We have investigated the potential role of gastrin in the regulation of cell growth in human astrocytic tumors. To this end we have used synthetic analogs of gastrin and cholecystokinin (CCK) which behave as gastrin and/or CCK antagonists, e.g. compounds JMV-97, JMV-209 and JMV-179. Their effects on astrocytic tumor cell proliferation was investigated by the use of the colorimetric MTT assay. The in vitro biological models used in the present study included the SW1088, U87 and U373 astrocytic tumor cell lines. The results demonstrated marked influence of gastrin and CCK antagonists in the regulation of astrocytic tumor growth. This suggests that gastrin and/or CCK antagonists might be tested in experimental glioblastoma.  相似文献
