Genetic programming of conventional features to detect seizure precursors

This paper presents an application of genetic programming (GP) to optimally select and fuse conventional features (C-features) for the detection of epileptic waveforms within intracranial electroencephalogram (IEEG) recordings that precede seizures, known as seizure precursors. Evidence suggests that seizure precursors may localize regions important to seizure generation on the IEEG and epilepsy treatment. However, current methods to detect epileptic precursors lack a sound approach to automatically select and combine C-features that best distinguish epileptic events from background, relying on visual review predominantly. This work suggests GP as an optimal alternative to create a single feature after evaluating the performance of a binary detector that uses: (1) genetically programmed features; (2) features selected via GP; (3) forward sequentially selected features; and (4) visually selected features. Results demonstrate that a detector with a genetically programmed feature outperforms the other three approaches, achieving over 78.5% positive predictive value, 83.5% sensitivity, and 93% specificity at the 95% level of confidence.

Coordinating production and distribution of jobs with bundling operations

We consider an integrated scheduling and distribution model in which jobs completed by two different machines must be bundled together for delivery. The objective is to minimize the sum of the delivery cost and customers' waiting costs. Such a model not only attempts to coordinate the job schedules on both machines, but also aims to coordinate the machine schedules with the delivery plan. Polynomial-time heuristics and approximation schemes are developed for the model with only direct shipments as well as the general model with milk-run deliveries.     

油管电热清防蜡技术在强水敏油田的应用

江苏油田的庄 2、韦 2油田属强水敏油田 ,采用热 (水 )洗油井和化学清防蜡效果较差 ,两油田每年因洗井造成地层污染影响的产量损失在 5 0 0 0t以上 ,约占油田产量的 4 5 %。根据集肤效应 ,采用油管电热清蜡技术 ,在含水小于 6 0 %、井斜小于 4 0°的油井上可正常使用 ,一般通电加热 4 0～ 80min后 ,油井井口温度能达到 5 0℃左右 ,最高可达到 6 5℃以上 ,连续加热 5～ 6h即可达到清蜡目的 ,电热清蜡为周期 6 0～ 90d。影响电热清蜡主要指标因素是油井的产液量 ,产液量越小 ,所需要的加热电流和加热电压也越小 ,井口温度达到最高值越低 ,清蜡效果越差。试验的 7口井平均年度投入产出比达到 1∶5 ,经济效益和社会效益十分明显。     

真空预压影响区安全措施有限元分析

分析了不同研究深度的沟、不同模量的桩、不同渗透系数的桩以及不同桩长等安全保障措施下真空预压对周围环境影响的效果。分析结果表明：挖沟可较有效地减弱真空预压影响区土体的水平位移与竖向位移；当桩土的模量比达到100倍以上之后，桩土模量比的增加对影响区的沉降基本上无影响；不同渗透系数的桩对影响区的沉降有一定的影响，随着桩体渗透系数的减少，影响区的沉降量有不同程度的减少；随着桩长的增加，影响区的沉降量随之减少。     

Molecular structure and stereoelectronic properties of sarmazenil--a weak inverse agonist at the omega modulatory sites (benzodiazepine receptors): comparison with bretazenil and flumazenil

X-ray diffraction and ab initio MO theoretical calculations were used in order to investigate the structural and electronic properties of sarmazenil, a weak inverse agonist at the omega modulatory sites (benzodiazepine receptors). This compound was compared to bretazenil, a partial agonist, and to the antagonist flumazenil on the basis of structural and electronic data. The conformational and theoretical properties (interatomic pi overlap populations, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), the topology of frontier orbitals, and proton affinity) of these three imidazobenzodiazepinones were determined in order to analyse the stereoelectronic properties in relation with their distinct intrinsic efficacies at the omega modulatory sites.
