We introduce a method based on an orthonormal vector space basis representation to detect camouflaged targets in natural environments. The method is intensity invariant so that camouflaged targets are detected independently of the illumination conditions. The detection technique does not require one to know the exact camouflage pattern, but only the class of patterns (e.g., foliage, netting, woods). We use nonlinear filtering and the calculation of several correlations. The nonlinearity of the filtering process also allows high discrimination against false targets. Several experiments confirm the target detectability where strong camouflage might delude even human viewers.  相似文献

This lemma played a central role in the resolution of Serre’s Conjecture. In the case where A contains a set E of cardinality greater than degv1+1 such that yy is invertible for each yy in E, we prove that the γi can simply correspond to the elementary operations L1L1+yij=2n1uj+1Lj, 1i=degv1+1, where u1v1++unvn=1. These efficient elementary operations enable us to give new and simple algorithms for reducing unimodular rows with entries in K[X1,,Xk] to t(1,0,,0) using elementary operations in the case where K is an infinite field. Another feature of this paper is that it shows that the concrete local–global principles can produce competitive complexity bounds.  相似文献

In the present work, we report the effects of C(60)-pretreatments on acute carbon tetrachloride intoxication in rats, a classical model for studying free-radical-mediated liver injury. Our results show that aqueous C(60) suspensions prepared without using any polar organic solvent not only have no acute or subacute toxicity in rodents but they also protect their livers in a dose-dependent manner against free-radical damage. To be sure, according to histopathological examinations and biological tests, pristine C(60) can be considered as a powerful liver-protective agent.  相似文献

Viscometric measurements were carried out on a triblock copolymer PMMA/PS/PMMA at two temperatures in two binary solvent mixtures, in order to establish to what extent segregation between the two kinds of blocks is maintained as the composition of the solvent mixture i.e. its preferential affinity to one of the blocks, changes. From the variation of the limiting viscosity number of the polymer versus composition of the solvent mixture, taking into account the corresponding plots for the two homopolymers, it was established: that at relatively low temperature the molecular dimensions of the block copolymer are very close to those calculated neglecting the heterocontact interactions, i.e. assuming segregation, and that at higher temperatures the dimensions observed for the block copolymer are higher than the values calculated by assuming segregation, thus showing that the heterocontacts exert some influence, inducing the chain to expand. A comparison with a PS/PMMA random copolymer of the same composition showed, however, that in the same solvent mixtures the number of heterocontacts was far lower in the case of the block copolymer than in the case of the random copolymer, even at elevated temperatures.  相似文献

Numerical techniques are presented for the calculation of binary phase diagrams. Most compositions are obtained directly through a Taylor series expansion of the composition with respect to temperature. The series is limited to the second order term and analytic expressions of the slopes and curvatures of phase boundaries have been developed for its use. A Newton-Raphson iteration technique tests the convergence of the results. The method is efficient and accommodates various formalisms for the free energy functions. The series is not applicable to very dilute solutions of a component, near the critical point of a miscibility gap or in the vicinity of the congruent transformation point of a compound; in these cases, alternate equations have been derived. The wave concept iterative procedure (WCIP) is used to analyze a quasi‐square open metallic ring frequency selective surface (FSS). The quasi‐square open metallic ring FSS is dual‐polarized. When the incident plane wave is polarized in a direction parallel to the FSS’ coupled parallel strips, it shows two rejecting bands. Moreover, another rejecting band can be obtained if the source plane wave is perpendicularly polarized with respect to the FSS’ coupled parallel strips. The three resonant frequencies are inversely proportional to the length of the FSS’ coupled strips to provide an easy fine tuning of the FSS structure. The simulated results obtained using WCIP are compared to the measured results, and a good agreement is reported.  相似文献
