A novel technique of spectroscopic imaging using a near-infrared (NIR) laser sheet beam was developed for visualization of liquid water in a proton-exchange membrane (PEM) sandwiched between two opaque electrodes set in a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC). In-plane two-dimensional distribution of water in the thin membrane was clearly visualized during the fuel cell operation. Under the condition of fuel feeding into the PEFC without humidification, water was generated by the fuel cell reaction in the whole electrode area. In contrast, under the condition of fuel feeding with humidification, the PEM got wet in the vicinity of a gas flow field locally.  相似文献

冶金灰(MD)因含大量的金属氧化物而有很强的脱硫能力.但是,MD颗粒细小,易被气流吹走,不能直接应用.必须将MD成型为有一定尺寸和足够机械强度后才能采用.研究了成型冶金灰脱硫剂(DSMD)的成型、脱硫和再生.实验结果指出,首先将诸如粘土,水玻璃,聚磷酸钠等粘结剂,水和MD混合,混合质量比MD:粘土:水玻璃:聚磷酸钠:水为100:3.3:3.3:3.3:5.0,然后将混合粉末压制成圆柱状块体,最后在973 K时结烧3 h.DsMD在烟气脱硫(FGD)过程中的脱硫率和MD相近,而且经过几次连续的脱硫-再生循环后,脱硫率仍保持稳定.此外,当DSMD未被贯透和DSMD的硫容量到达约5~6 mol/kg(>773 K)之前,烟气出口处的H2S浓度可保持在小于10 mg/m3的水平.  相似文献

The carbon microcoils (CMCs) were prepared by the Ni-catalyzed pyrolysis of acetylene containing a small amount of H2S, the morphology and some properties of the CMCs were examined, and the potential applications were discussed. It was found that super-elastic CMCs, which could be extended and contracted by 3–15 times of the original coil length, could be obtained by controlling the reaction conditions. The electrical resistivity (R) of these super-elastic CMCs increased by extending and decreased by contracting. Furthermore, it was found that inductance (L) and capacitance (C) extensively changed with extending and contracting motions. Accordingly, CMCs could be used as high sensitive tactile sensors based on the noble LCR composite hybrid resonance, as well as in MEMS.  相似文献

Objective : The aim of this study was to clarify an influence of the fine structure of human tooth enamel to the yellowing teeth. Materials and methods : Sound maxillary first premolars of 15–50‐year‐old females that were extracted for the orthodontic treatment were used as the test samples. The tooth enamel sections of these teeth that prepared by ion polishing were observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Furthermore, the fine structure of substance filling the inter‐rod spaces was analyzed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). Results : In white tooth, the inter‐rod spaces were observed at the width of about 0.1 μm, while in yellow tooth, the inter‐rod spaces were not clearly observed by SEM. HRTEM observations revealed for the first time that the inter‐rod spaces were filled with fine particles of poorly crystallized hydroxyapatite in the yellow tooth. In yellow tooth, it was considered that the color of the inner dentin was recognized due to the decrease of light scattering by filling the tooth enamel inter‐rod spaces. The generation of particles in the tooth enamel inter‐rod spaces was considered to be caused by the long‐time progression of calcification. Conclusions : These results suggested that the change in fine structure, filling in inter‐rod spaces of tooth enamel, was related to progression of calcification in the inter‐rod spaces with advancing age and one of the factors of yellowness of human tooth. Vapor-grown carbon micro-coils were oxidized under a low O2 flow-rate for introducing oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface. The surface characteristics were then examined. The O1s/C1s intensity ratios of the XPS spectra measured on the surface increased on using the oxidation treatment. The maximum O1s/C1s ratio of 11.4 at.% was obtained under the following conditions: (a) the flow-rate of the mixed gas of O2+Ar (O2/Ar=1/10) was 82.5 sccm; (b) the oxidation temperature was 600°C; and (c) the treatment time was 30 min. The maximum O1s/C1s ratio is about 3.5 times that of the source carbon coils. The specific surface area significantly increased due to the oxidation treatment and attained a maximum value of 1050 m2 g−1, which is about 10 times that of the source carbon coils. As the specific surface area increased, the surface morphology of the carbon coils became more complicated on a nanometer scale.  相似文献

Because the synthesis of chiral compounds generally requires a broad range of substrate specificity and stable enzymes, screening for better enzymes and/or improvement of enzyme properties through molecular approaches is necessary for sustainable industrial development. Herein, the discovery of unique hydroxynitrile lyases (HNLs) from two species of passion fruits, Passiflora edulis forma flavicarpa (yellow passion fruit, PeHNL-Ny) and Passiflora edulis Sims (purple passion fruit, PeHNL-Np), isolated and purified from passion fruit leaves is reported. These are the smallest HNLs (comprising 121 amino acids). Amino acid sequences of both enzymes are 99 % identical; there is a difference of one amino acid in a consensus sequence. PeHNL-Np has an Ala residue at position 107 and is nonglycosylated at Asn105. Because it was confirmed that natural and glycosylated PeHNL-Ny showed superior thermostability, pH stability, and organic tolerance to that of PeHNL-Np, it has been speculated that protein engineering around the only glycosylation site, Asn105, located at the C-terminal region of PeHNL-Ny, might contribute to the stabilization of PeHNL. Therefore, the focus is on improved stability of the nonglycosylated PeHNL by truncating its C-terminal region. The C-terminal-truncated PeHNLΔ107 was obtained by truncating 15 amino acids from the C terminus followed by expression in Escherichia coli. PeHNLΔ107 expressed in E. coli was not glycosylated, and showed improved thermostability, solvent stability, and reusability similar to that of the wild-type glycosylated form of PeHNL expressed in Pichia pastoris. These data reveal that the lack of the high-flexibility region at the C terminus of PeHNL might be a possible reason for improving the stability of PeHNL.  相似文献

We have experimentally demonstrated structural advantages due to rounded corners of rectangular-like cross-section of silicon nanowire (SiNW) field-effect transistors (FETs) on on-current (ION), inversion charge density normalized by a peripheral length of channel cross-section (Qinv) and effective carrier mobility (μeff). The ION was evaluated at the overdrive voltage (VOV) of 1.0 V, which is the difference between gate voltage (Vg) and the threshold voltage (Vth), and at the drain voltage of 1.0 V. The SiNW nFETs have revealed high ION of 1600 μA/μm of the channel width (wNW) of 19 nm and height (hNW) of 12 nm with the gate length (Lg) of 65 nm. We have separated the amount of on-current per wire at VOV = 1.0 V to a corner component and a flat surface component, and the contribution of the corners was nearly 60% of the total ION of the SiNW nFET with Lg of 65 nm. Higher Qinv at VOV = 1.0 V evaluated by advanced split-CV method was obtained with narrower SiNW FET, and it has been revealed the amount of inversion charge near corners occupied 50% of all the amount of inversion charge of the SiNW FET (wNW = 19 nm and hNW = 12 nm). We also obtained high μeff of the SiNW FETs compared with that of SOI planar nFETs. The μeff at the corners of SiNW FET has been calculated with the separated amount of inversion charge and drain conductance. Higher μeff around corners is obtained than the original μeff of the SiNW nFETs. The higher μeff and the large fractions of ION and Qinv around the corners indicate that the rounded corners of rectangular-like cross-sections play important roles on the enhancement of the electrical performance of the SiNW nFETs.  相似文献

This paper deals with the simultaneous observation of both the electron field emission from nanoscopic tips by electrical means and their structural shape change by an ultra‐high resolution transmission electron microscope (TEM). Nanoneedles with sharp tips of radius in the nanometer range were fabricated with semiconductor micromachining technology. A correlation between the electron field emission characteristics and the structural change of the emitter tip was clearly observed.
