In this paper, a new single-stage input-current-shaping (S2 ICS) technique that integrates the voltage-doubler-rectifier front end with a DC/DC output stage is introduced. Due to the voltage-doubler-rectifier front end, a reduction of line-current harmonics can be achieved with a higher conversion efficiency compared to the corresponding S2ICS circuit with the conventional wide-range full-bridge rectifier. The proposed technique requires energy-storage capacitors with the same total capacitance and with half of the voltage rating as in the conventional S2ICS counterpart, which reduces the size and cost of the power supply. How can training programs foster counseling and clinical psychologists' scholarly productivity? This study examined the impact of academic and internship research training environments (RTEs) on the scholarly activity of 223 early career professionals. Results supported the construct validity of the Internship Research Training Environment scale through cross-validation and confirmatory factor analysis. Findings revealed differences in perceptions of the internship RTE and scholarly productivity as a function of academic training philosophy and internship training philosophy. Finally, results suggested that academic and internship RTEs could influence research interest and scholarly productivity indirectly by enhancing research self-efficacy and research outcome expectations. This paper describes an innovative and advanced system for remaining life assessment of industrial high-temperature components developed at MPA Stuttgart, Germany and being currently introduced into the power plants in Germany and several other countries. The system is a corporate memory system, essentially meaning that all the information/knowledge of a corporation (company, institute, etc.) should be maximally exploited in future activities of the company, with minimum changes in the existing structure of the data/information/knowledge already available. The possible use of mine effluent for irrigation of agricultural crops was investigated for BCL Ltd. nickel mine (Selebi
Phikwe, Botswana). The aims were to estimate the long-term water and salt balance under irrigation with gypsiferous mine water,
as well as to make recommendations on cropping and management options. A simple but mechanistic edynamic soil water-salt balance
generic crop growth model (SWB, Soil Water Balance) and a weather data generator (CLIMGEN) were used for long-term predictions.
Eleven years of irrigation with BCL effluent were simulated for different cropping systems and irrigation management practices,
followed by 39 years of irrigation with freshwater or dry land cropping. The long-term simulations indicated that between
661 and 2017 mm of mine effluent could be used annually through irrigation, depending on crop choice and irrigation management.
Between 18% and 32% ot the total amount of salt added through irrigation was predicted to leach in 11 years, the remainder
being precipitated in the 1.1 m deep soil profile in the form of gypsum. The rate of gypsum dissolution and leaching after
11 years of irrigation with mine water depended on management. Simulated root density-weighted electrical conductivities at
saturation indicated favorable conditions for growth of summer crops, but a leaching fraction is recommended in winter. A
lucerne perennial pasture was the most suitable cropping system from the point of view of mine water utilization and salt
precipitation in the soil profile. Deficit irrigation (room for rain) followed by dry land cropping was the most suitable
management strategy in order to limit salt leaching and possible ground water contamination. The acceptability of the proposed
strategies will depend on Botswana's standards for environmental protection, as well as social and economic issues. 相似文献

Optocouplers are widely used in isolated power supplies to transfer the feedback signal from the secondary to the primary side. In many power supplies, the feedback amplifier is supplied from the output voltage that creates additional feedback path which should be taken into account in the control design. The paper presents a detailed analysis and control design for each of the two possible feedback loops that can be identified. In addition, dynamic limitations of the TL431 shunt regulator and of the optocoupler are discussed. Practical guidelines for the error amplifier design and a design example are presented for both voltage-mode and current-mode controls. 相似文献
