A real-time failure analysis technique for ULSI circuits using photon emission is proposed. This technique utilizes a photon detection system combined with a circuit tester. Improved failure detection is achieved because the tester can bias arbitrary blocks in the ULSI chip. Using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, we measured anti-adenine nucleotide translocater (ANT) antibody in control subjects and in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), myocarditis, and other heart disease. Analysis with sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, Western blotting, and immunoabsorption tests confirmed accurate purification of the ANT protein and correct measurement of anti-ANT auto-antibody. Anti-ANT antibody was detected in 6 of 37 cases (16%) of DCM and in 5 of 12 cases (42%) of myocarditis. This antibody was not positive in other heart diseases or in apparently healthy controls. There were no differences between anti-ANT autoantibody-positive and -negative DCM or myocarditis patients in any of the cardiac parameters examined (left ventricular ejection fraction, LVEF; left ventricular end-diastolic dimension, LVDd; and cardiothoracic ratio, CTR). Moreover, in patients who were positive for anti-ANT auto-antibody, no positive correlations were found between the parameters and anti-ANT antibody titers in either DCM or myocarditis. Although these results indicate that the detection of anti-ANT antibody was achieved at a high specificity and could have certain diagnostic value in DCM and myocarditis, there was no statistically significant relationship between the cardiac parameters (LVEF, LVDd, and CTR) and anti-ANT antibody titers in either DCM or myocarditis. Some compensatory mechanism of ventricular function may mask the effects of the anti-ANT auto-antibody or alternatively, this auto-antibody may have mimic effects on the pathogenesis and/or progression of DCM and myocarditis.  相似文献

We theoretically and experimentally study the all-optical clock recovery performance using the primary or the secondary temporal Talbot effects (PTTE or STTE, respectively) in a dispersive medium having the first-order dispersion together with the second-order dispersion (e.g., conventional single-mode fibers: SMFs). Our preliminary numerical simulations have indicated that the STTE-based all-optical clock recovery technique can improve double its performance as compared with the conventional PTTE-based technique when the second-order dispersion (dispersion slope) can be neglected. The following simulation results have revealed that the second-order dispersion, that the normal SMFs possess, limits the performance improvements in the STTE-based clock recovery, whereas the limited performance can be improved by appropriately compensating for the second-order dispersion. On the basis of our simulation results, experiments of the STTE-based clock recovery were conducted by compensating for the second-order dispersion of SMFs used as dispersive media. To be specific, SMFs’ second-order dispersion has been reduced to the one-sixteenth of its original value by combining with the reverse-dispersion fibers (RDFs) which can provide the second-order dispersion of the opposite sign to the SMFs. As a result, the performance improvements in the STTE-based clock recovery was demonstrated so that the 10-GHz clear optical clock pulses were successfully recovered from 10-Gbit/s return-to-zero (RZ) pseudo-random bit sequence (PRBS) optical signals.  相似文献

This paper proposes an optimization-design method for the frequency selective surface (FSS) based on the genetic algorithm (GA) incorporated with a geometry-refinement technique. The present method takes the connectivity condition of the elements into consideration, thereby resulting in an easy fabrication. As an example, we design the multiband single-layer FSS for transmitting L band (1.5 GHz band) and S band (2.5 GHz band) and also reflecting Ka band (20/30 GHz band). The designed FSS has bandwidths broader than previous FSSs. Finally, the validity of the present method is proved by the agreement between the calculated and the measured transmission responses for the designed FSS.  相似文献

This paper reports on the electromagnetic influences on the analysis of biological tissue surrounding a prototype energy transmission system for a wireless capsule endoscope. Specific absorption rate (SAR) and current density were analyzed by electromagnetic simulator in a model consisting of primary coil and a human trunk including the skin, fat, muscle, small intestine, backbone, and blood. First, electric and magnetic strength in the same conditions as the analytical model were measured and compared to the analytical values to confirm the validity of the analysis. Then, SAR and current density as a function of frequency and output power were analyzed. The validity of the analysis was confirmed by comparing the analytical values with the measured ones. The SAR was below the basic restrictions of the International Commission on Nonionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP). At the same time, the results for current density show that the influence on biological tissue was lowest in the 300-400 kHz range, indicating that it was possible to transmit energy safely up to 160 mW. In addition, we confirmed that the current density has decreased by reducing the primary coil's current.  相似文献

This paper proposes a tactile-sensing mechanism for a robot. The mechanism is composed of a force-sensor device and an end-effector of shell shape. Since the end-effector plays the role of an outer shell, a force can be sensed at any position on the body. Due to the aspect of its intrinsic contact sensing, position of the single contact point is calculable without any sensor array. Another advantage is that the six-axis resultant force is measurable. This paper shows that the mechanism is also available for the end-effector with an angulated shape. The only condition for the shape is to be a convex hull. Some experimental results evaluate sources of error in practical measurement and show the validity of the proposed mechanism.  相似文献

This paper describes a 32-Mb embedded DRAM macro fabricated using 0.13-μm triple-well 4-level Cu embedded DRAM technology, which is suitable for portable equipment of MPEG applications. This macro can operate 230-MHz random column access even at 1.0-V power supply condition. The peak power consumption is suppressed to 198 mW in burst operation. The power-down standby mode, which suppresses the leakage current consumption of peripheral circuitry, is also prepared for portable equipment. With the collaboration of array circuit design and the fine Cu metallization technology, macro size of 18.9 mm2 and cell efficiency of 51.3% are realized even with dual interface and triple test functions implemented  相似文献

We report a bit-rate transparent optical burst switching (OBS) router prototype using a fast 5 times 5 PLZT [(Pb,La)(Zr,Ti)O3 ] optical matrix switch. Dynamic switching in a two-wavelength, 2 times 2 OBS switch is demonstrated. Contention resolution using a tunable Mach-Zehnder interferometer wavelength converter for both 40- and 10-Gb/s bursts is demonstrated for the first time. This paper focuses on the realization of high-performance motion control based on acceleration control. A disturbance observer is used to construct an acceleration control system. A high sampling frequency is known to be effective for improving the performance. Characteristics of acceleration control are investigated to discuss the relationship between the performance and a sampling frequency of the system. The needs for a high sampling frequency for an output are then described. Based on these considerations, a novel multirate sampling method for the acceleration control system is proposed. An output sampling period is set shorter than an input sampling period, and control calculation is executed at each output sampling period in the method. The disturbance observer is redesigned for application to the multirate system. Stability analysis is performed to verify the validity of the proposal. Feasibility of the proposed method and its influence on the performance are also verified by experimental results  相似文献
