The partial discharge (PD) inception characteristics are studied in liquid nitrogen (LN/sub 2/)/polypropylene laminated paper (PPLP/sup /spl reg//) composite insulation system for high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable. Experimental results revealed that the magnitude of the initial PD increased as the PD inception electric field strength was increased, because the injected energy increased. Initial PD was generated at the first and third quadrant of applied AC voltage phase. The probability of initial PD at the positive and negative voltage phase was almost the same. The reason is because liquid nitrogen is a nonpolar molecule and we used symmetric electrode configuration with uniform electric field distribution. Finally, it was pointed out that PD inception electric field strength (PDIE) depended on the volume of the butt gap because of the increasing probability of weak points of electrical insulation, and PDIE linearly decreased with increasing stressed volume of the butt gap in the log-log scale. 相似文献

The mechanism of enhanced PVC impact strength of poly(vinyl chloride) modified by an acrylic graft copolymer was studied by the three-point bending test on a U-notched bar. In the mechanism, the void formation from the modifier released the constrained strain. The release suppresses the stress below the fibril strength in the material; consequently, stable deformation can develop over a large area and, thus, the impact strength of PVC modified by the acrylic graft copolymer is improved. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic systemic inflammation causing progressive joint damage that can lead to lifelong disability. The pathogenesis of RA involves a complex network of various cytokines and cells that trigger synovial cell proliferation and cause damage to both cartilage and bone. Involvement of the cytokines tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α and interleukin (IL)-6 is central to the pathogenesis of RA, but recent research has revealed that other cytokines such as IL-7, IL-17, IL-21, IL-23, granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), IL-1β, IL-18, IL-33, and IL-2 also play a role. Clarification of RA pathology has led to the development of therapeutic agents such as biological disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors, and further details of the immunological background to RA are emerging. This review covers existing knowledge regarding the roles of cytokines, related immune cells and the immune system in RA, manipulation of which may offer the potential for even safer and more effective treatments in the future. 相似文献

Uniformly porous composites with 3-D network structure (UPC-3D) have been recently developed via a pyrolytic reactive sintering process, which takes advantage of the evolved CO2 gas from a decomposing carbonate source (e.g., dolomite, CaMg(CO3 )2 ) and does not require any additional pore-forming agent nor long-time burning-out process. Through liquid formation via LiF doping, strong necks are formed between constituent particles before completion of the pyrolysis of carbonate, resulting in the formation of a strong 3-D network structure. The pore size distribution is very narrow (with typical pore size: ∼1 μm), and the porosity was controllable (∼30–60%) by changing the sintering temperature. This article presents the development details of UPC-3D, and reports the recent findings in CaZrO3 /MgAl2 O4 system, which will be one of the more promising systems for practical applications. 相似文献

A discrete variational-Xα (DV-Xα) method was applied to elucidate the formation of C-O-Si bridging bonds, produced when a silanol group of SiO2 comes close enough to react with a carboxyl group of indomethacin (IM). A decrease in the coordination number (CN) of oxygen atoms per silicon atom at the SiO2 surface increased the net charge (NC) of the silanolic hydrogen atom and decreased the bond overlap population (BOP) between the silanolic oxygen and hydrogen atoms. These changes favored the formation and stabilization of C-O-Si bridging bonds with simultaneous dehydration. The computational results agreed well with our previous experimental study of a ground indomethacin-SiO2 mixture to obtain a better solid dispersion of the drug. 相似文献

From the viewpoint of mitigating global warming by SF6 gas, this paper discusses breakdown (BD) characteristics of different electronegative gas mixtures with N2O gas as SF6 gas substitutes for quasi-uniform electric field under lightning impulse voltage applications. Experimental results revealed the positive synergism in breakdown strength of binary N2O / CO2 and ternary N2O / CO2 / O2 gas mixtures, respectively. Furthermore, N2 gas as a retardant gas was also mixed with the electronegative gas mixtures in order to reduce the electron energy into the effective levels of electron attachment ability by the electronegative gas mixtures. As the result, ternary N2O / CO2 / N2 and quaternary N2O / CO2 / O2 / N2 gas mixtures could exhibit the significant synergistic effect in breakdown strength. The optimum mixture rate of quaternary N2O / CO2 / O2 / N2 gas mixtures was consistent with that estimated by assuming the independent contribution of component gases to the improvement of impulse BD characteristics. 相似文献

For the past few years, hybrid generation systems including solar panel and gas cogeneration have been used for residential houses. Solar panels can generate electronic power at daytime but not at night. But the power consumption of residential houses usually peaks in the evening. The gas engine cogeneration system can generate electronic power without such a restriction, and it also can generate heat power to warm up a house or to produce hot water. In this paper we propose a solar panel and gas engine cogeneration hybrid system with an energy storage device, combined by a DC bus. If a blackout occurs, the system still can supply electronic power for special house loads. We propose a control scheme for the system related to the charging level of the energy storage device and the voltage of the utility grid, which can be applied to both grid‐connected and standalone operation.
