The properties of modified HDPE, selected from various polymer materials by evaluations of DC characteristics, were examined in both sheet and cable samples. It was found that the modification, which introduced a small amount of polar group into HDPE, considerably enhanced DC breakdown strength to as high as 1.5-2.0 times those of XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene). Under a poling voltage of up to 30 kV/mm, the modified HDPE exhibits particular behavior, with its space charge decreasing as stress is increasing. In addition, the additives in HDPE have a large influence on space-charge characteristics, thereby affecting the DC breakdown strength. The evaluation of cable insulated with optimum modified HDPE was conducted to determine the breakdown strength under various voltage applications. Compared with the XLPE cable, modified HDPE cable exhibited excellent characteristics under all kinds of voltage applications, particularly DC dielectric breakdown strength, which was almost twice that of XLPE  相似文献

In order to study the local response of silicon strip detectors, we have developed a local charge generator using near-infrared ligh emitting diode. The edge properties of the strip detectors were studied precisely with this tool. In the case of our tested detector, the lateral extension of the depletion area was measured to be about 120 μm at a bias voltage of 40 V.  相似文献

A discretely variable slope delta modulation (DVSD) codec is described, which is suitable for integrated circuit realization. The step size is varied by a pulse number modulation method that does not require a precision digital-to-analog conversion circuit. An adaptation algorithm is discussed, taking into consideration the effect of transmission errors. The quantizer and integrator portion has been fabricated on a monolithic chip using MOS technology. Results obtained from an experimental 32 kbit/s codec demonstrate its excellent performance.  相似文献

We fabricated electrochemically stable fluorinated nano-carbon film that had an sp2 and sp3 hybrid nanocrystalline structure formed using the electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) sputtering method. This fluorinated ECR (F-ECR) nano-carbon film prepared with a short CF4 plasma treatment has a high fluorine content (F/C:0.20) and a low oxygen content (O/C:0.02) on its surface and retains its original morphology. This F-ECR nano-carbon is capable of a lower capacitance current, and a wider potential window than untreated ECR nano-carbon. The electron transfer rates at an F-ECR electrode are as high as those of untreated carbons for , whereas they are much slower than those of untreated ECR nano-carbon for Fe2+/3+ and owing to its selective sp2 fluorination. These slow electron transfer rates for Fe2+/3+ and are maintained during potential cycles due to its robust nanocrystalline structure. In contrast, these slow electron transfer rates were easily recovered for fluorinated glassy carbon under same condition. Furthermore, a smaller fluorination effect was observed for polycrystalline boron-doped diamond owing to the low reactivity of its sp3 bonds. Our ECR nano-carbon film is suitable for the effective fabrication of a fluorinated surface while maintaining a relatively active electrochemical interface and excellent stability.  相似文献

The histone methyltransferase SET7/9 methylates not only histone but also non‐histone proteins as substrates, and therefore, SET7/9 inhibitors are considered candidates for the treatment of diseases. Previously, our group identified cyproheptadine, used clinically as a serotonin receptor antagonist and histamine receptor (H1) antagonist, as a novel scaffold of the SET7/9 inhibitor. In this work, we focused on dibenzosuberene as a substructure of cyproheptadine and synthesized derivatives with various functional groups. Among them, the compound bearing a 2‐hydroxy group showed the most potent activity. On the other hand, a 3‐hydroxy group or another hydrophilic functional group such as acetamide decreased the activity. Structural analysis clarified a rationale for the improved potency only by tightly restricted location and type of the hydrophilic group. In addition, a SET7/9 loop, which was only partially visible in the complex with cyproheptadine, became more clearly visible in the complex with 2‐hydroxycyproheptadine. These results are expected to be helpful for further structure‐based development of SET7/9 inhibitors.  相似文献

A miniature ceramic anvil high pressure cell (mCAC) was earlier designed by us for magnetic measurements at pressures up to 7.6 GPa in a commercial superconducting quantum interference magnetometer [N. Tateiwa et al., Rev. Sci. Instrum. 82, 053906 (2011)]. Here, we describe methods to generate pressures above 10 GPa in the mCAC. The efficiency of the pressure generation is sharply improved when the Cu-Be gasket is sufficiently preindented. The maximum pressure for the 0.6 mm culet anvils is 12.6 GPa when the Cu-Be gasket is preindented from the initial thickness of 300-60 μm. The 0.5 mm culet anvils were also tested with a rhenium gasket. The maximum pressure attainable in the mCAC is about 13 GPa. The present cell was used to study YbCu(2)Si(2) which shows a pressure induced transition from the non-magnetic to magnetic phases at 8 GPa. We confirm a ferromagnetic transition from the dc magnetization measurement at high pressure. The mCAC can detect the ferromagnetic ordered state whose spontaneous magnetic moment is smaller than 1 μ(B) per unit cell. The high sensitivity for magnetic measurements in the mCAC may result from the simplicity of cell structure. The present study shows the availability of the mCAC for precise magnetic measurements at pressures above 10 GPa.  相似文献
