A scalar wave equation based recursive convolution finite-difference time-domain algorithm is developed for a frequency-dependent Debye medium in this paper. This algorithm is based on a recursive evaluation of a convolution integral in the time domain. A numerical example is presented for a problem of wide-band reflection from an air-water interface. The obtained results are compared with an analytical solution. The excellent agreement is observed between the numerical results. Memory and computational time advantages of the proposed method over Maxwell’s equations based solution are also shown.  相似文献

Dual-phase(DP) steels with different martensite contents were obtained by appropriate heat treatment of an SAE1010 structural carbon steel,which was cheap and widely used in the construction industry. The corrosion behavior of DP steels in con-crete was investigated under various tempering conditions. Intercritical annealing heat treatment was applied to the reinforcing steel to obtain DP steels with different contents of martensite. Perturbation–iteration theory is systematically generated for both linear and nonlinear second-order differential equations and applied to Bratu-type equations. Different perturbation–iteration algorithms depending upon the number of Taylor expansion terms are proposed. Using the iteration formulas derived using different perturbation–iteration algorithms, new solutions of Bratu-type equations are obtained. Solutions constructed using different perturbation–iteration algorithms are contrasted with each other as well as with numerical solutions. It is found that algorithms with more Taylor series expansion terms yield more accurate results.  相似文献

The effect of different amounts of Nb and of homogenization on the ferritic stainless steels containing 17–18 wt.% Cr was investigated with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy, energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). It was observed that M23C6, NbC and sigma phase formed in these steels. In addition, the formation of Nb2C was observed in the sample containing 3.0 wt.% Nb. While the amount of Nb increased from 0.5 to 3.0 wt.% Nb, the microhardness of the matrix and the amount of M23C6 decreased and the toughness of the samples increased. After homogenization, the increase in the toughness of the samples containing 1.5–3.0 wt.%Nb was considerable and impressive.  相似文献

The viability of developing an SiC fibre-reinforced titanium/titanium aluminide hybrid matrix composite was explored. The hybrid composites are expected to be used at temperatures beyond those attainable in conventional titanium matrix composites while improving the damage tolerance of the titanium aluminide matrix composites. The room-temperature mechanical characteristics studied were tensile strength, fracture toughness, low-cycle fatigue life and fatigue crack growth rate. The mechanisms of damage initiation and propagation under various loading conditions were also characterized. The directions for developing a satisfactory composite with hybrid titanium/titanium aluminide matrix are also addressed.  相似文献

This paper reports three current mode second order filters, each of which realizes a specific function without any external passive elements. These filters realize low-pass notch (LPN), high-pass notch (HPN) and all-pass (AP) functions. Two OPAMPs, a double output OTA and a single output OTA are employed for each circuit. The filter structures can be easily cascaded since they have high output impedances. This property is especially useful for achieving high-order filters using these LPN and HPN filters as building blocks. The presented theory is verified with macro models in SPICE simulations and, using the SPICE parameters of the layout technology, post layout simulations are carried out, with parasitics extracted from the layouts of the filter chips.  相似文献

Broadcast is becoming an increasingly attractive data-dissemination method for large client populations. In order to effectively utilize a broadcast medium for such a service, it is necessary to have efficient on-line scheduling algorithms that can balance individual and overall performance and can scale in terms of data set sizes, client populations, and broadcast bandwidth. We propose an algorithm, called R×W, that provides good performance across all of these criteria and can be tuned to trade off average and worst-case waiting time. Unlike previous work on low overhead scheduling, the algorithm does not use estimates of the access probabilities of items, but rather, it makes scheduling decisions based on the current queue state, allowing it to easily adapt to changes in the intensity and distribution of the workload. We demonstrate the performance advantages of the algorithm under a range of scenarios using a simulation model and present analytical results that describe the intrinsic behavior of the algorithm  相似文献

In this study, effect of the post-deposition thermal annealing on copper oxide thin films has been systemically investigated. The copper oxide thin films were chemically deposited on glass substrates by spin-coating. Samples were annealed in air at atmospheric pressure and at different temperatures ranging from 200 to 600°C. The microstructural, morphological, optical properties and surface electronic structure of the thin films have been studied by diagnostic techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible (UV–VIS) absorption spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The thickness of the films was about 520 nm. Crystallinity and grain size was found to improve with annealing temperature. The optical bandgap of the samples was found to be in between 1.93 and 2.08 eV. Cupric oxide (CuO), cuprous oxide (Cu2O) and copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) phases were observed on the surface of as-deposited and 600 °C annealed thin films and relative concentrations of these three phases were found to depend on annealing temperature. A complete characterization reported herein allowed us to better understand the surface properties of copper oxide thin films which could then be used as active layers in optoelectronic devices such as solar cells and photodetectors.  相似文献

Determination of the limit angle at the Manisa-Soma-Eynez coal field, a major coal production area in Turkey, is difficult because of the presence of a landslide caused by the waste from a neighboring open-pit site being dumped over the underground mine at the Soma-Eynez basin. In fact, it is not possible to determine the effect of extraction on the surface from field studies. Thus, in order to determine the limit angle, in-situ subsidence measurements, geophysical measurements, rock-based tests in the laboratory and the data obtained from a physical model have supported numerical modeling studies. The software, LAMODEL, used for the numerical modeling was developed by National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and is based on the Boundary Element Method. The results obtained from modeling have been found to be compatible with other studies and as a result the limit angle has been determined.  相似文献
