A new AgO.CuO.WO3/rGO nanocomposite was designed for the investigation of the degradation ability of the hybrid material under visible light irradiation. The AgO, CuO, WO3 NPs, and AgO.CuO.WO3 hetero-metallic oxides were fabricated via the chemical co-precipitation method. The crystallite sizes and phase analyses were investigated by recording X-ray diffraction patterns. The crystallite sizes of three metal oxides in the AgO.CuO.WO3 hetero metal oxide were 16.7, 15.9, and 16.9 nm, respectively. The FESEM images at various magnifications were probed to study the morphology of synthesized materials. The micrographs of hetero-metallic oxides AgO.CuO.WO3 exposed that three metal oxides merged like small particles and gives a large bulbous appearance. EDX analyses confirmed the formation of required materials with high purity. FTIR data was in agreement with the literature which facilitated to ensure the purity of synthesized samples. The optical bandgap energy was calculated via the Tauc plot indicating that the blend of three metal oxides generated a new energy level in the electronic structure is suitable for photocatalysis in the presence of visible light. The bandgap energy of hetero metallic oxides was 1.25 eV which is less than individual metal oxides signifying the tuning of the bandgap. The incorporation of rGO in AgO.CuO.WO3 hetero-metallic oxides gives a new photocatalyst for optimum photodegradation of methylene blue in minimum time. The percentage degradation via AgO.CuO.WO3 was 87.20% in 70 min while the percentage degradation via AgO.CuO.WO3/rGO recorded by photocatalytic experiment was 95% in 40 min. The photocatalysis data revealed that AgO.CuO.WO3 hetero-metallic oxides-rGO nanocomposite ensured a strong potential to uptake organic dyes from water by promoting redox reactions during photocatalysis in the minimum time limit.  相似文献

Here, we have fabricated the spinel binary-metal oxide (FeCo2O4) via a solvent-free and cost-effective approach. The nanocomposites of the as-fabricated binary-metal spinel oxide have been prepared with three different conductive-matrices, namely r-GO, CNTs, and PANI, via ultra-sonication approach. The spinel phase and surface functionalities of the fabricated FeCo2O4 sample have been confirmed via XRD and FT-IR analyses, respectively. The morphological-structure and elemental composition of the fabricated samples have been probed via FESEM and EDX results. The role of added conductive-matrices in the improvement of the electrical conductivities of the fabricated nanocomposites has been investigated via I–V experiments. The electrochemical experiments, conducted in half-cell configuration, showed that FeCo2O4/PANI nanocomposite exhibited the highest specific capacitance (658.9 Fg-1) than that of the remaining two nanocomposites. Furthermore, FeCo2O4/PANI nanocomposite exhibited excellent cyclic stability as it lost just 8.3% of its initial specific capacitance even after 3000 cyclic tests. The superior capacitive-activity of the FeCo2O4/PANI nanocomposite is accredited to its high conductivity, large surface area, and synergy effects between the pseudocapacitance derived from the PANI and FeCo2O4 nanostructure. The electrochemical and electrical measurements suggested that FeCo2O4/PANI nanostructure is an emerging contender for energy storage applications.  相似文献

The enzyme activities in different fractions of Dioscorea japonica Thunb. and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl radical scavenging activity in 15 natural plant pigments from black rice, purple sweet potato, yellow bitter melon, yellow paprika, red cabbage, yellow gardenia, blue gardenia, Chinese foxglove, mulberry leave, onion peel, grape peel, mulberry, red beet, gromwell, and cactus were determined. The antioxidant activity in the cosmetic composition of mulberry leaves, grape peel, mulberry, and red cabbage pigments was relatively high in comparison with all other studied plants. Enzyme activities in investigated plants were evaluated as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and ascorbate peroxidase (APX). The cosmetic composition of mulberry leaf pigment had the highest SOD enzyme activity of 67.1% while onion peel pigment showed the lowest SOD enzyme activity of 15.3%. The activity of CAT and APX from cosmetic composition of natural plant pigments has also been investigated. Both CAT and APX showed higher values in the cactus, mulberry, and red cabbage cosmetic compositions in comparison with other plant pigments. The cosmetic composition in EtOAc extract of D. japonica Thunb. had the highest SOD enzyme activity while the BuOH and EtOH extracts were comparatively low. CAT and APX activities showed significantly high values in EtOH and EtOAc extracts. The antioxidant enzyme activities of D. japonica Thunb. differ significantly in different plant pigments during their extraction. In conclusion, we showed that the plant pigments and D. japonica Thunb. had the potent biological activities. Therefore, these plant resources having anti-aging components could be good materials for development of source of natural cosmetics.  相似文献

The main aim of this investigation was to find processing conditions and to control them, which maximally preserve bioactive compounds and antioxidant activity of garlic and onions. Garlic, white and red onions were subjected to bleaching and boiling. The contents of polyphenols, flavonoids, flavanols, tannins, corresponding antioxidant activities and their correlation coefficients were determined in various methanol and acetone extracts. The antioxidant activity was determined by 2, 2-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), Ferric-reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) and Cupric reducing antioxidant capacity (CUPRAC) antioxidant assays. It was found that bleaching for 90″ most fully preserves polyphenols (8.25, 9.75 and 11.98 vs. 9.00, 10.52 and 15.87 mg GAE/g DW and the level of antioxidant activity – 8.82, 22.50 and 23.90 vs. 9.00, 23.05 and 24.30 μM TE/g DW of DPPH in extracts of treated samples with 100% of methanol vs. raw garlic, white and red onions, respectively. In conclusion, comparative control shows that bleaching for 90″ of all studied vegetables most fully preserves contents of bioactive compounds and the level of antioxidant activity. Extraction of bioactive compounds with 100% methanol was more effective than with 50% methanol and 100% acetone.  相似文献

We used an integrated approach to constrain the geological structure of the Jifara Plain in northwest Libya. The analysis of surface data, including a digital elevation model (DEM), Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus images, and geologic maps, was combined with subsurface data, including well logs and magnetic data. The DEM data were used for the identification of geological lineaments in the study area. The interpretation and analysis of the lineaments indicate that the Jifara Plain is controlled by three main fault systems, trending northwest-southeast, east-west, and northeast-southwest. The three trends represent the remnants of reactivated structures that formed under the stress regimes generated during the tectonic evolution of North Africa. The magnetic data reveal three northwest- and northeast-trending sedimentary basins in the study area. The depth of the basement inside the main basin ranges from 1 to 5 km. The results indicate that the Jifara Basin is shallower than the surrounding basins. The integration of the results reflects different periods of tectonic activity in the Jifara Plain and the adjacent Jabal Nafusah.  相似文献

This article reviews some of the latest advances of the algorithmic aspects of particle-based methods for the simulation of both solid-state devices and biological systems. After a brief historical introduction, a discussion will be offered about the recent evolution of numerical methods used by both Full-Band Ensemble Monte Carlo (EMC) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) algorithms. A discussion of some relevant applications of both simulative approaches is accompanied by a critical analysis of the main limitations of the methods. Several needed improvements are discussed as well, and the potential of the algorithms for modeling systems of higher complexity.  相似文献

A total of 159 White, Indian, and Chinese Canadian kindergartners and 1st graders were introduced to 3 picture book characters from each of 5 ethnic groups: Indian, Black, White, Chinese, and Eskimo. These books were then used as stimulus materials for measuring the children's self-identification, information seeking, role taking, and social perception. The information-seeking measures were found to be related in a very minor way to attitude. However, it is proposed that the stage of development of self-identification influenced the child's selection of ethnic information.
