The formation of diamond and the behaviour of coexisting carbides with diamond in several 3d-transition metals (manganese, iron, cobalt, nickel)-graphite systems was studied under 7 GPa pressure up to 1700° C from the view-point of diamond formation. In the nickel-graphite and cobalt-graphite systems, no stoichiometric carbide was formed, but M x C, which is thought to be the interstitial solid solution of carbon, was formed. In the iron-graphite system, on the other hand, the formation of two stoichiometric carbides, i.e. Fe3C and Fe7C3, was found. In the manganese-graphite system, only one stoichiometric carbide Mn7C3, which is isostructural with Fe7C3, was formed. The diamond formation process in the presence of these transition metals is discussed in relation to the carbide formation.  相似文献

In neurosecretory cells of the supraoptic nucleus (SON) of rats, pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) causes an increase in [Ca2+]i, and stimulates somatodendritic vasopressin (VP) release. In this report, to elucidate the ionic mechanism of the action of PACAP, membrane potentials and ionic currents were measured from SON neurones in slice preparations or from dissociated SON neurones. In the current clamp mode, PACAP depolarized membrane potentials of both phasic and non-phasic neurones and increased the firing rate. Moreover, simultaneous measurements of membrane potentials and [Ca2+]i revealed that the membrane depolarization correlated well with increases in [Ca2+]i. In the voltage-clamp mode, PACAP induced inward currents at a holding potential of -70 or -80 mV in a dose-dependent manner and the time course of the currents was similar to that of the PACAP-induced membrane depolarization. The averaged reversal potential of the PACAP-induced currents obtained from dissociated SON neurones was -33 mV, which was close to the reversal potential of non-selective cation currents in SON neurones. The currents were rapidly and reversibly inhibited by a cation-channel blocker, gadolinium. Analysis of synaptic inputs into SON neurones in slice preparations revealed that PACAP had little or no effects on the frequency of spontaneous excitatory and inhibitory postsynaptic currents. These results suggest that pituitary adenylate cyclase activating polypeptide (PACAP) activates PACAP receptors in the postsynaptic membrane of the supraoptic nucleus (SON) neurones, and that the activation of PACAP receptors leads to opening of non-selective cation channels, depolarization of the membrane potential, and increase in the firing rate in SON neurones. Such mechanisms may account for the PACAP-induced increase in [Ca2+]i and vasopressin (VP) release observed in SON neurones.  相似文献

BACKGROUND/AIMS: In order to achieve increased survival rates for patients with carcinoma of the esophagus, early detection of the disease is vital. Serial esophagrams were evaluated to clarify which interval would be effective for early detection of carcinoma of the esophagus during routine examination. MATERIALS AND METHODS: One hundred eighty-nine patients with carcinoma of the esophagus were grouped into three, according to the experience and the time of the previous roentgenograms before the definite diagnosis. RESULTS: Five patients were in Group 1, in which roentgenographic examination had been done within 12 months prior to the diagnosis. Retrospective observation revealed a slight but certain abnormal shadow at the same location as the esophageal tumor seen on the second films. In Group 2, seven had received an esophagram between 12 and 24 months before the diagnosis. In contrast to Group 1, neither abnormality nor findings indicating esophageal tumors were detected on the former x-ray films, in all seven cases. Group 2 was characterized by relatively small tumors and low stage of the disease. Mean tumor length was 4.1 +/- 2.9 cm, and three of seven were classified as Stage I and two as Stage IIA. On the other hand, most of the 177 patients in Group 3, with no previous examination of the esophagus within 24 months before the diagnosis, had far advanced disease. Mean tumor length was 6.3 +/- 2.6 cm. Only nine (5.1%) were classified as Stage I, whereas 115 (65.0%) were classified as Stage III or IV. CONCLUSION: In light of these data, for populations in which esophageal cancer frequently occurs, esophageal examination every 12 months will no doubt contribute towards the early detection of lesions.  相似文献

Platinum-dispersed carbon was synthesized by pressure pyrolysis of divinylbenzenebis (2-allylphenyl)platinum (APPt) and phenylacetylene-APPt at 550 °C and 125 MPa. The crystallinity of platinum dispersed in the carbon matrix synthesized from phenylacetylene(PA)-APPt was higher than that from divinylbenzene(DVB)-APPt. Platinum particles less than 60 nm were dispersed in the carbon matrix synthesized from DVB-APPt at 550 °C and 125 MPa. The carbon matrix formed from PA-APPt contained platinum particles of about 120 nm. The specific area of platinum-dispersed carbon synthesized at 550 °C and 125 MPa increased on subsequent heat treatments in argon, and reached 90 m2 g–1 after heat treatment at 800 °C for 1 h. The activity of platinum-dispersed carbon for the hydrogenation of cyclohexene increased with increasing specific area. Platinum-dispersed carbon formed from DVBAPPt was more active for hydrogenation reaction than that from PA-APPt. The highly active platinum-dispersed carbon could be synthesized from DVB-APPt at 520 °C. The surface area reached 154 m2 g–1 after heat treatment at 800 °C.  相似文献

The recrystallization behavior of 12Cr and 15Cr oxide dispersion-strengthened (ODS) ferritic steels, which are the promising candidate materials for long-life core materials of the advanced fast breeder reactors, was investigated in terms of an intermediate softening heat treatment. It was clarified that keeping recovery structure at the intermediate heat treatment is indispensable for producing recrystallized structure at the final heat treatment. Prevention of repeating recrystallization is owing to the stable {100} 〈110〉 texture formation with less stored strain energy by the cold-rolling of the recrystallized structure. The two-step softening process was proposed to suppress the recrystallization and obtain adequate hardness reduction at the intermediate heat treatment. This process is effective for producing a stable recrystallized structure at the final heat treatment of the manufacturing process of ODS ferritic steel cladding.  相似文献

The aluminium (Al) content of 105 samples, including bakery products made with baking powder, agricultural products and seafoods treated with alum, was investigated. The amounts of Al detected were as follows (limit of quantification: 0.01 mg/g): 0.01-0.37 mg/g in 26 of 57 bakery products, 0.22-0.57 mg/g in 3 of 6 powder mixes, 0.01-0.05 mg/g in all three agricultural products examined, 0.03-0.90 mg/g in 4 of 6 seafood samples, 0.01-0.03 mg/g in 3 of 11 samples of instant noodles, 0.04-0.14 mg/g in 3 of 4 samples of vermicelli, 0.01 mg/g in 1 of 16 soybean products, but none in soybeans. Amounts equivalent to the PTWI of a 16 kg infant were detected in two samples of bakery products, two samples of powder mixes and one sample of salted jellyfish, if each sample was taken once a week. These results suggest that certain foods, depending on the product and the intake, might exceed the PTWI of children, especially infants.  相似文献

Rapid formation of an α-Al2O3 scale on Fe–50 at.%Al by pure metal thin coatings of Ni, Al, Ti, Cr or Fe was investigated, and the effects of those elements on Al2O3-scale evolution were assessed. The oxidation behavior of samples with and without coatings could be divided into two groups: the samples with/without Ni and Al, and those with Ti, Cr and Fe. The mass gains of samples coated with Al and Ni were almost the same as that of non-coated Fe–50 at.%Al alloy. The mass gains of samples coated with Ti, Cr, and Fe were much lower than that of the Fe–50 at.%Al alloy. A stable α-Al2O3 scale was found to develop from the beginning of oxidation on the samples coated with Ti, Cr and Fe. However metastable θ-Al2O3 remained after long-time oxidation of non-coated and Ni- and Al-coated samples. The direct α-Al2O3 scale formation on the samples with Cr or Fe coatings was speculated to be due to sympathetic nucleation of α-Al2O3 on the surface of Al-supersaturated Fe2O3 for Fe-coated sample, and composition changes from (Cr,Al)2O3 to (Al,Cr)2O3 for the Cr-coated sample. Initial formation of an oxide having a corundum structure was inferred to provide a nucleation site for precipitation of α-Al2O3 without prior formation of a metastable Al2O3 scale.  相似文献

The Mg–8Gd–2Y–1Nd–0.3Zn–0.6Zr (wt.%) alloy sheet was prepared by hot extrusion technique, and the structure and mechanical properties of the extruded alloy were investigated. The results show that the alloy in different states is mainly composed of α-Mg solid solution and secondary phases of Mg5RE and Mg24RE5 (RE = Gd, Y and Nd). At aging temperatures from 200 °C to 300 °C the alloy exhibits obvious age-hardening response. Great improvement of mechanical properties is observed in the peak-aged state alloy (aged at 200 °C for 60 h), the ultimate tensile strength (σb), tensile yield strength (σ0.2) and elongation () are 376 MPa, 270 MPa and 14.2% at room temperature (RT), and 206 MPa, 153 MPa and 25.4% at 300 °C, respectively, the alloy exhibits high thermal stability.  相似文献
