The appearance aspects of an electrodeposited polyurethane-based coating as a function of baking condition were investigated. Specular gloss and color was measured as a mean to trace the changes of the surface topography due to baking conditions. Atomic force microscopy combined with FTIR spectroscopic investigations showed that the shrinkage occurred due to the high baking temperature results in surface roughness. Films baked at higher temperature form higher-Tg networks. The color was changed to yellow as the baking temperature was raised.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of hydrophobic functionalized multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were investigated and their influence on the wetting properties of organic coatings and composites was studied. Functionalization was performed using oxidation, 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, and silanization. Silanization was conducted using three hydrophobic silane precursors: 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane, 1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorooctyltrimethoxysilane, and triethoxyoctylsilane. Functionalization was directly confirmed and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis, and scanning electron microscopy. The water contact angle of the functionalized MWCNTs was 40–142° for different surface functionalities and the functionalized MWCNTs were incorporated into an acidic solution of polymethylmethacrylate. The effect of surface functionality and the concentration of the functionalized MWCNTs on the wetting properties of these composites were studied by measuring the water contact angle. Under optimum conditions, composite surfaces with water contact angles greater than 110° were obtained. Atomic force microscopy was used to determine the topography of the surface and energy dispersion spectroscopy was used to determine the distribution of the functionalized MWCNTs in the composite film. It was shown that the hydrophobic functionalized MWCNTs migrated to the surface; this was more pronounced for the more hydrophobic MWCNTs.  相似文献

This paper describes a novel technique to recover large similarity transformations (rotation/scale/translation) and moderate perspective deformations among image pairs. We introduce a hybrid algorithm that features log-polar mappings and nonlinear least squares optimization. The use of log-polar techniques in the spatial domain is introduced as a preprocessing module to recover large scale changes (e.g., at least four-fold) and arbitrary rotations. Although log-polar techniques are used in the Fourier-Mellin transform to accommodate rotation and scale in the frequency domain, its use in registering images subjected to very large scale changes has not yet been exploited in the spatial domain. In this paper, we demonstrate the superior performance of the log-polar transform in featureless image registration in the spatial domain. We achieve subpixel accuracy through the use of nonlinear least squares optimization. The registration process yields the eight parameters of the perspective transformation that best aligns the two input images. Extensive testing was performed on uncalibrated real images and an array of 10,000 image pairs with known transformations derived from the Corel Stock Photo Library of royalty-free photographic images.  相似文献

A new one-dimensional silver(I) coordination polymer, [Ag(μ-bpfb)(NO3)]n (1); bpfb = N,N′-bis(4-pyridylformamide)-1,4-benzene, has been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The single crystal X-ray data show that the silver(I) 1D coordination polymer grows into a three-dimensional network by hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking interactions. Compound 1 with nanorod morphology was also prepared by sonochemical method. The cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a cationic surfactant was used in reverse micelles technique to obtain spongy silver(I) bromide nanoparticles from compound 1. Also, different silver nanoparticles have been prepared via direct calcination at 673 K and thermal decomposition in oleic acid from compound 1. The nanostructures of [Ag(μ-bpfb)(NO3)]n (1), silver and silver(I) bromide were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDAX) analysis. Thermal stability of compound 1 in both bulk and nano-sized form was studied by thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential thermal (DT) analyses.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction peak broadening analysis showed that performing a proper heat treatment between the twist extrusion passes of commercially pure copper decreased the coherent domain size and increased the microstrain. Moreover, SEM micrographs illustrated that annealed material contained new formed grains that could not grow due to lack of sufficient time. Under such circumstances, the ultimate strength was elevated about 45 MPa. The deformed material showed texture of simple shear deformation, changing by applying the post annealing.  相似文献

In this study, failure of a high pressure economizer tube of a boiler used in gas-Mazut combined cycle power plants was studied. Failure analysis of the tube was accomplished by taking into account visual inspection, thickness measurement, and hardness testing as well as microstructural observations using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and x-ray diffraction (XRD). Optical microscopy images indicate that there is no phase transformation during service, and ferrite-pearlite remained. The results of XRD also revealed Iron sulfate (FeSO4) and Iron hydroxide sulfate (FeOH(SO4)) phases formed on the steel surface. A considerable amount of Sulfur was also detected on the outer surface of the tube by EDS analysis. Dew-point corrosion was found to be the principal reason for the failure of the examined tube while it has been left out-of-service.  相似文献

In this work, MgH2–SiC–Ni was prepared by magneto-mechanical milling in hydrogen atmosphere. Scanning electron microscope mapping images showed a homogeneous dispersion of both Ni and SiC among MgH2 particles. Based on the differential scanning calorimetry traces, the temperature of desorption is reduced by doping MgH2 with SiC and Ni. Hydrogen absorption/desorption behaviour of the samples was investigated by Sievert's method at 300 °C, and the results showed that both capacity and kinetics were improved by adding SiC and Ni. The hydrogen desorption kinetic investigation indicated that for pure MgH2, the rate-determining step is surface controlled and recombination, while for the MgH2–SiC–Ni sample it is controlled as described by the Johnson–Mehl–Avrami 3D model (JMA 3D).  相似文献
