The EBC method 7.7, currently used for determination of bitter acids in hop products, is a time‐consuming and laborious extraction technique. In this paper, our aim was to propose a new extraction method based on Pressurized Solvent Extraction (PSE) sometimes also called Pressurized Fluid Extraction (PFE) or Accelerated Solvent Extraction (ASE). Compared to conventional extractions, PSE offers a number of important benefits. PSE on OnePSE® automated extractor was used for extraction of α‐ and β‐acids from hops and hop products and the parameters influencing extraction efficiency and the influence of the sample preparation method were studied. The quantitative determination of α‐ and β‐acids in the extracts was accomplished by using an HPLC apparatus equipped with diode array detector. The experimental results were compared with those obtained by the standard EBC 7.7 method and the two methods were found to be fully compatible  相似文献

Hydroxyapatite (HA) nanopowder was synthesized by reverse microemulsion technique using calcium nitrate and phosphoric acid as starting materials in aqueous phase. Cyclohexane, hexane, and isooctane were used as organic solvents, and Dioctyl sulfosuccinate sodium salt (AOT), dodecyl phosphate (DP), NP5 (poly(oxyethylene)5 nonylphenol ether), and NP12 (poly(oxyethylene)12 nonylphenol ether) as surfactants to make the emulsion. Effect of synthesis parameters, such as type of surfactant, aqueous to organic ratio (A/O), pH and temperature on powder characteristics were studied. It was found that the surfactant templates played a significant role in regulating the morphology of the nanoparticle. Hydroxyapatite nanoparticle of different morphologies such as spherical, needle shape or rod-like were obtained by adjusting the conditions of the emulsion system. Synthesized powder was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), BET surface area and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Phase pure HA nanopowder with highest surface area of 121 m2/g were prepared by this technique using NP5 as a surfactant. Densification studies showed that this nanoparticle can give about 98% of their theoretical density. In vitro bioactivity of the dense HA compacts was confirmed by excellent apatite layer formation after 21 days in SBF solution. Cell material interaction study showed good cell attachment and after 5 days cells were proliferated on HA compacts in OPC1 cell culture medium. The results imply this to be a versatile approach for making hydroxyapatite nanocrystals with controlled morphology and excellent biocompatibility.  相似文献

The objective of this work was to study adhesion, proliferation and differentiation of osteoblast cells (OPC1) on alumina ceramic, a bio-inert material. Alumina ceramic with different average grain sizes, 1 μm and 12 μm, respectively, were used in as-prepared condition without any grinding and polishing to understand the influence of grain size on cell–material interactions. Scanning electron microscopy and confocal imaging were used to study attachment, adhesion and differentiation of OPC1 cells. Cells attached, proliferated and differentiated well on both the substrates. Adhesion of cells, as assessed by observing the production of vinculin, was found to be a consistent phenomenon on both the substrates. On day 5 of cell culture, significant cell-attachment was observed and vinculin was detected throughout cytoplasm. MTT assay showed that proliferation of OPC1 cells was consistently higher in the case of 12 μm-alumina. Cells of different morphology, nodular, plate-like as well as elongated, were found to get anchored at grains, grain boundaries as well as pores. On day 16, there were clear signs of mineralization as well. Over all, alumina with average grain size of 12 μm showed better cell-attachment, growth and differentiation compared to 1 μm grain size samples.  相似文献

Poly(m-aminophenol) (PmAP) was synthesized by the oxidative polymerization of m-aminophenol in sodium hydroxide medium using ammonium persulfate oxidant at room temperature. The synthesized polymer showed very good solution processability as it was well soluble in aqueous sodium hydroxide, dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), dymethylformamide (DMF), etc. A free-standing film was cast from thermal evaporation of DMSO solution of the synthesized PmAP. The film was then doped with aqueous sodium hydroxide and methanol mixture by solution doping technique at room temperature. The doping conditions were standardized in terms of the DC-conductivity of the doped film. The doped PmAP was characterized by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Electron dispersion spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, elemental analysis by atomic absorption spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and DC-electrical conductivity. The DC-electrical conductivity of PmAP film was increased to 2.34 × 10?5 S/cm from <10?12 S/cm due to sodium ion doping. From all the above characterizations it was confirmed that the sodium ions were not the reason for the conduction. The incorporated sodium cation in the polymer through free –OH groups of the polymer chain was induced the electron cloud of the polymer and so the polymer became conducting.  相似文献

This first generation investigation evaluates the in vitro tribological performance of laser-processed Ta coatings on Ti for load-bearing implant applications. Linear reciprocating wear tests in simulated body fluid showed one order of magnitude less wear rate, of the order of 10(-4)mm(3)(N.m)(-1), for Ta coatings compared to Ti. Our results demonstrate that Ta coatings can potentially minimize the early-stage bone-implant interface micro-motion induced wear debris generation due to their excellent bioactivity comparable to that of hydroxyapatite (HA), high wear resistance and toughness compared to popular HA coatings.  相似文献

No cloning theorem is a very fundamental issue in quantum mechanics. But the issue is much more involved if we consider quantum state shared among two or more than two parties and allow only local operation and classical communication. In the context of the fact that no known bipartite entangled state can be cloned by local operation and classical communication (LOCC) without assistance of extra entangled state, the cloning of unknown orthogonal entangled state becomes meaningful when there is some supply of free entanglement. With restriction on supply of free entanglement, various cases have been studied. In this paper, we try to give an overview of the subject and results that have been obtained across the literature along with a new result on probabilistic LOCC cloning of four Bell states.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the facility location problem with two conflicting objectives. We observe that minimization of the total cost of a particular echelon may lead to the increase in the total cost of a supply chain as a whole. Thus, these conflicting objectives are required to be met together from a supply chain perspective. We have solved the problem formulated in mixed nonlinear programming by a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm (MOEA) known as non-dominated sorting algorithm, or NSGA II in short. Numerical example is provided to show the effect of the algorithm on the solution.  相似文献

Transmission electron microscopy is used to analyze the evolution of the microstructure of steel 120G4 after complete and partial pearlitic transformation and subsequent heating to 680–1200°C. It is found that, as the heating temperature increases, the fraction of a carbide phase decreases and the character of an austenitic defect structure changes from microtwins and stacking faults to dislocations.  相似文献

The process of formation of facets (faceting) in Ni, Al, and Au nanoparticles has been investigated by the molecular-dynamics method. It has been established that the surface of nanoparticles of fcc metals with attainment of a low-energy habit can be transformed via correlated displacements of atomic groups of the facet in the octahedral plane. It has been shown that such a process is similar to the surface diffusion of atomic n-mers with the activation energy depending on the facet size, and for particles with a diameter d < 3.0 nm the correlated displacement of atomic layers proves to be the dominant mechanism of faceting.  相似文献
