An antibacterial and bioactive titanium (Ti)-based material was developed for use as a bone substitute under load-bearing conditions. As previously reported, Ti metal was successively subjected to NaOH, CaCl2, heat, and water treatments to form a calcium-deficient calcium titanate layer on its surface. When placed in a simulated body fluid (SBF), this bioactive Ti formed an apatite layer on its surface and tightly bonded to bones in the body. To address concerns regarding deep infection during orthopedic surgery, Ag+ ions were incorporated on the surface of this bioactive Ti metal to impart antibacterial properties. Ti metal was first soaked in a 5 M NaOH solution to form a 1 μm-thick sodium hydrogen titanate layer on the surface and then in a 100 mM CaCl2 solution to form a calcium hydrogen titanate layer via replacement of the Na+ ions with Ca2+ ions. The Ti material was subsequently heated at 600 °C for 1 h to transform the calcium hydrogen titanate into calcium titanate. This heat-treated titanium metal was then soaked in 0.01–10 mM AgNO3 solutions at 80 °C for 24 h. As a result, 0.1–0.82 at.% Ag+ ions and a small amount of H3O+ ions were incorporated into the surface calcium titanate layers. The resultant products formed apatite on their surface in an SBF, released 0.35–3.24 ppm Ag+ ion into the fetal bovine serum within 24 h, and exhibited a strong antibacterial effect against Staphylococcus aureus. These results suggest that the present Ti metals should exhibit strong antibacterial properties in the living body in addition to tightly bonding to the surrounding bone through the apatite layer that forms on their surfaces in the body.  相似文献

首先在钢筋混凝土管片系列接头试验的基础上,总结提出了接头弯矩-相对转角关系的线性、双线性和非线性模型,以及接头轴力-相对轴向变形和剪力-相对剪切变形关系的分段式模型,并给出了用于描述荷载偏心距和螺栓初始扭矩对于接头刚度影响的理论模型。其次,基于平板型和弧型管片接头的受弯试验结果,分别给出了在有无防水密封垫情况下各类转动刚度模型参数的取值方法,提出了不同条件下的转动刚度模型选择依据,研究了不同螺栓初始扭矩和轴力对接头转动刚度取值的影响;基于平板型管片接头剪切试验结果,分别给出了在有无防水密封垫情况下三阶段剪切刚度模型的参数取值方法。研究结果验证了各接头刚度模型的有效性,将对盾构衬砌结构梁-接头模型计算理论的应用起到重要的推动作用。  相似文献

We have calculated impact ionization (II) and Auger recombination (AR) lifetimes in hot carrier solar cells (HC-SCs) in operation, and found that these lifetimes are much longer than the average retention times of photo-generated carriers in the cells at an appropriate range of applied voltage, under practical conditions of 500–1000 times-concentrated solar irradiation and carrier thermalization times of several hundred picoseconds. This means that the particle conservation (PC) model, in which II and AR are completely excluded, can be applied to predict the conversion efficiency. In contrast, the PC model does not stand under the ideal condition of the maximally concentrated irradiation and no thermalization of carriers, as previously pointed out.  相似文献

Abstract

Ferroelectric SrBi2Ta2O9 (SBT) capacitors were fabricated by the Electron-Beam-Induced Patterning process and their electrical properties were evaluated in detail. In this process, the dose of an electron beam irradiated on precursor films had a great influence on the electrical properties of the SBT capacitors. The appropriate electron dose significantly improved the electrical properties of the SBT capacitors although the excess electron dose made severe deterioration in the properties. The SBT capacitors fabricated with the optimum electron dose, 1.5 mC/cm2 for Sr:Bi:Ta = 0.8:2.2:2.0 solutions, exhibited excellent ferroelectric properties: a remanent polarization of 11.5 μC/cm2, a coercive field of 40 kV/cm, a leakage current of 8×10?8 A/cm2@ 1V and fatigue-free up to 1010 cycles. It seems that such improvements were caused by the adjustment of Bi contents in the films and the modification or the decompositon of precursors before heat treatment by electron beam irradiation.  相似文献

Welding is widely used for construction of many structures. Since welding is a process using locally given heat, residual stress is generated near the bead. Tensile residual stress degrades fatigue strength. Some reduction methods of residual stress have been presented and, for example, heat treatment and shot peening are practically used. However, those methods need special tools and are time consuming. In this paper, a new method for reduction of residual stress using harmonic vibrational load during welding is proposed. The proposed method is examined experimentally for some conditions. Two thin plates are supported on the supporting device and butt-welded using an automatic CO2 gas shielded arc welding machine. Residual stress in the direction of the bead is measured by using a paralleled beam X-ray diffractometer with scintillation counter after removing quenched scale chemically. First, the welding of rolled steel for general structure for some excitation frequencies is examined. Specimens are welded along the groove on both sides. For all frequencies, tensile residual stress near the bead is significantly reduced. Second, welding of the specimen made of high tensile strength steel is examined. In this case, tensile residual stress near the bead is also reduced. Finally, the proposed method is examined by an analytical method. An analytical model which consists of mass and preloaded springs with elasto-plastic characteristic is used. Reduction of residual stress is demonstrated using this model.  相似文献

Generally, it is difficult to decide a repair budget program for asphalt pavement during the analysis period at the planning stage. Furthermore, with the increase in the number of projects, the changes in the life-cycle cost tend to be insensitive to the changes in budget. Catalytic activities of various metal oxides for decomposition of nitrous oxide were compared in the presence and absence of methane and oxygen, and the general rule in the effects of the coexisting gases was discussed. The reaction rates of nitrous oxide were well correlated to the heat of formation of metal oxide, i.e., a V-shaped relationship with a minimum at −ΔHf0 around 450 kJ (O mol)−1 was observed in N2O decomposition in an inert gas. In the case of metal oxides having the heat of formation lower than 450 kJ (O mol)−1, CuO, Co3O4, NiO, Fe2O3, SnO2, In2O3, Cr2O3, the activities were strongly affected by the presence of methane and oxygen. On the other hand, the activities of TiO2, Al2O3, La2O3, MgO and CaO were almost independent. The reaction rate of nitrous oxide was significantly enhanced by methane. The promotion effect of methane was attributed to the reduction of nitrous oxide with methane: 4N2O+CH4→2N2+CO2+2H2O. The activity was suppressed in the presence of oxygen on the metal oxides having lower heat of formation. On the basis of Langmuir–Hinshelwood mechanism, the effect of oxygen on nitrous oxide decomposition was rationalized with the strength of metal–oxygen bond.  相似文献

Superlattices with varying GaN well widths (2, 3, 6, 9 nm) and fixed AlGaN barrier (8 nm) with high Al-content (x=0.65) were grown. Streaky RHEED patterns indicated 2D growth mode for the superlattices. XRD measurements showed multiple satellite peaks corresponding to uniform periodicity of the GaN/AlGaN pairs. The AlGaN barrier XRD peak also shifted with increasing well widths, while the GaN XRD peak was nominally unchanged. Room temperature photoluminescence experiments revealed peak emissions at energies lower than the bulk GaN energy gap. The large red shift with respect to the bulk gap is attributed to significant Stark effect for wide multiple quantum wells.  相似文献

Microwave Synthesis of Yttrium Iron Garnet Powder   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A 28 GHz microwave heating method was used to react an Fe2O3+ Y2O3 powder mixture to form yttrium iron garnet (YIG, Y3Fe5O12) powder. The minimum temperature to form YIG was lower than the conventional (external) heating method. YIG began to form after only 70 s of irradiation, which means that the solid-state reaction proceeded very rapidly. The amounts of byproducts were controlled by the starting composition and by the Y2O3 particle size. The resultant YIG particle size also was controlled by the Y2O3 particle size.  相似文献
