On‐Line Detection Of State‐Of‐Charge In Lead Acid Battery Using Radial Basis Function Neural Network
To realize a stable supply of electric power in an automobile, an accurate and reliable detection method of SOC (state‐of‐charge) in a lead acid battery is required. However the dynamics of the battery is very complicated. The characteristics of the battery greatly change due to its degradation. Moreover a automobile has many driving patterns, which are unknown beforehand. Thus it is not easy to detect the SOC analytically. In this paper, to overcome this problem, a new on‐line SOC detection method with a radial basis function neural network is proposed. In order to increase the detection accuracy of degraded batteries, physical values related to the degradation degree are used as input signal in the neural network. The detection accuracies for different sized batteries and various degradation states are investigated. 相似文献

Both viable and non-viable orally administered Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus CRL1505 modulate immunity in local (intestine) and distal (respiratory) mucosal sites. So, intestinal adhesion and colonization are not necessary for this probiotic strain to exert its immunomodulatory effects. In this work, a mucus-binding factor knockout CRL1505 strain (ΔmbfCRL1505) was obtained and the lack of binding ability to both intestinal epithelial cells and mucin was demonstrated in vitro. In addition, two sets of in vivo experiments in 6-week-old Balb/c mice were performed to evaluate ΔmbfCRL1505 immunomodulatory activities. (A) Orally administered ΔmbfCRL1505 prior to intraperitoneal injection of the Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist poly(I:C) significantly reduced intraepithelial lymphocytes (CD3+NK1.1+CD8αα+) and pro-inflammatory mediators (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-15) in the intestinal mucosa. (B) Orally administered ΔmbfCRL1505 prior to nasal stimulation with poly(I:C) significantly decreased the levels of the biochemical markers of lung tissue damage. In addition, reduced recruitment of neutrophils and levels of pro-inflammatory mediators (TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8) as well as increased IFN-β and IFN-γ in the respiratory mucosa were observed in ΔmbfCRL1505-treated mice when compared to untreated control mice. The immunological changes induced by the ΔmbfCRL1505 strain were not different from those observed for the wild-type CRL1505 strain. Although it is generally accepted that the expression of adhesion factors is necessary for immunobiotics to induce their beneficial effects, it was demonstrated here that the mbf protein is not required for L. rhamnosus CRL1505 to exert its immunomodulatory activities in local and distal mucosal sites. These results are a step forward towards understanding the mechanisms involved in the immunomodulatory capabilities of L. rhamnosus CRL1505. 相似文献

A microcomputer system was developed to measure visual spatiotemporal receptive fields. The system performs three functions: 1) generation of a binary spatiotemporal white-noise stimulus, 2) acquisition of spike discharges from retinal ganglion cells, and 3) extraction of the linear part of the spatiotemporal receptive flelds by cross correlating the input against the output. The effects of nitrogen ion bombardment on TiO2 films prepared by the Cat-CVD method have been studied to improve the optical and electrical properties of the material for use in Si thin film solar cells. The refractive index n and the dark conductivity of the TiO2 film increased with irradiation time. The refractive index n of the TiO2 film was changed from 2.1 to 2.4 and the electrical conductivity was improved from 3.4 × 10− 2 to 1.2 × 10− 1 S/cm by the irradiation. A detailed investigation has been carried out to determine the effect of local fiber array irregularities and controlling fiber distribution parameters on microscopic interfacial normal stress states for transversely-loaded unidirectional carbon fiber (CF)/epoxy composites. Linear elastic finite element analyses were carried out for two-dimensional image-based models composed of about 70 fibers. The relationship between the geometrical distribution of two adjacent fibers and the interfacial normal stresses (INSs) is investigated for all fibers in different image-based models. Three boundary conditions for loading were selected: Case A involved cooling from the curing temperature (the difference in temperature was ?155 K); Case B involved transverse loading of 75 MPa chosen as an example of macroscopic transverse fracture strength; and Case C involved both cooling from the curing temperature and transverse loading of 75 MPa. High compressive INSs due to the difference in the coefficients of thermal expansion are observed at the location of the shortest interfiber distance for Case A (cooling). High tensile INSs are observed at the location of the shortest interfiber distance and where the fiber alignment angle to the loading direction is small for Case B (loading). For Case C (cooling and loading), the high thermal residual compressive INSs and the high mechanical tensile INSs compensate each other, and the INSs at a short interfiber distance are much lower than those for Case B. These results clearly indicate the importance of the contribution of the thermal residual stresses to the transverse tensile failure initiation of CF/epoxy laminates. 相似文献

The development of a new methodology for visualizing and detecting gases is imperative for various applications. Here, we report a novel strategy in which gas molecules are detected by signals from a reporter guest that can read out a host structural transformation. A composite between a flexible porous coordination polymer and fluorescent reporter distyrylbenzene (DSB) selectively adsorbed CO? over other atmospheric gases. This adsorption induced a host transformation, which was accompanied by conformational variations of the included DSB. This read-out process resulted in a critical change in DSB fluorescence at a specific threshold pressure. The composite shows different fluorescence responses to CO? and acetylene, compounds that have similar physicochemical properties. Our system showed, for the first time, that fluorescent molecules can detect gases without any chemical interaction or energy transfer. The host-guest coupled transformations play a pivotal role in converting the gas adsorption events into detectable output signals. 相似文献

In the present paper, some solid lubricants were tested in backward extrusion friction tests with flat-headed punches using aluminium at room temperature. The results showed that anti-seizure ability was improved when wax was added to the solid lubricant samples. In addition, a water-based graphite lubricant and an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) lubricant were tested using aluminium workpieces heated to 500°C. An integrated code system SECOM-2, developed at the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), has the following functions for systems reliability analysis in seismic probabilistic safety assessments (PSAs): (1) calculation of component failure probability, (2) extraction of minimal cut sets (MCSs) from a given fault tree (FT), (3) calculation of frequencies of accident sequences and core damage, (4) importance analysis with several measures with consideration of unique parameters of seismic PSAs, (5) sensitivity analysis, and (6) uncertainty analysis. This paper summarizes the special features of SECOM-2 to perform the analyses mentioned above. At JAERI, using an integrated FT which represents seismically induced core damage due to all initiating events as a system model to calculate core damage frequency of a nuclear power plant, SECOM-2 can calculate conditional point estimate probabilities of system failures, losses of safety functions, and core damage as a function of earthquake motions. The point estimate is computed by a method which gives an exact numerical solution using the Boolean arithmetic model method. As for consideration of correlation of component failure, which has been an important issue in seismic PSAs, a new technique based on direct FT quantification by a Monte Carlo simulation is being added to SECOM-2. Adding this technique, the core damage frequency can be calculated not only with the upper bound approximation based on MCSs but also with a near exact solution taking into account the correlation among all components. This paper also presents the preliminary results of a seismic PSA of a generic BWR plant in Japan performed at JAERI to demonstrate the functions of the SECOM-2 code. 相似文献
