A self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of l-homocysteine (l-Hcy) formed on the surface of a gold-deposited gate of a field effect transistor (FET) was used to differentiate between enantiomers of amino acids, for which the formation of diastereomeric metal complexes is fundamental for chiral discrimination. Here, we focus our attention on the dependence of the FET response on the analyte amino acids, the central metal ions involved in complex formation, and the solution pH. Using the l-Hcy SAM-modified gate with added Cu(II), notable negative FET responses were enantioselectively observed for the l-enantiomers of alanine (Ala), phenylalanine, and tryptophan, whereas differences in the FET responses between enantiomers were negligible for asparagine and aspartic acid. Regarding the enantioselectivity for Ala, the addition of Cu(II) was demonstrated to show higher selectivity as compared to other metal ions such as Co(II) and Ni(II). Moreover, for the addition of l-Ala and Cu(II), a particularly strong negative FET response was observed at pH 5.5.  相似文献

A simple and fast dispersion method that incorporates heating is used to disperse long (more than 10 μm) single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with minimal defects. The method enables a dispersed solution of SWCNTs to be produced in less than 10 min in only three steps: (1) addition of the dispersant, (2) heating, and (3) grinding. The dispersion method does not require sonication, which shortens the SWCNTs and can generate surface defects. SWCNT films were prepared from the dispersed solution, and the films exhibited a resistance of 380 Ω/sq at a transparency of 64.8%. This dispersion method can be easily scaled up, making it useful for the preparation of dispersed SWCNTs for commercial and industrial applications.  相似文献

Micro-mesoporous bimodal carbon nanospheres with high surface areas were synthesized by a combined use of surfactant templating technique and BaO2 chemical activation one. Starting spherical nanopolymer/surfactant composites were prepared by the NaOH-catalyzed reaction of resorcinol (R) and formaldehyde (F) in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) as a core template and 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene (TMB) and tert-butanol (t-BuOH) as cosurfactants. After pretreatment with hydrochloric acid, the composite materials were calcined at 1000 °C in N2 coexistent with varying weight ratios of BaO2 to RF polymer ranging from 0 to 11. It produced micro-mesoporous bimodal carbon nanospheres of 124–143 nm diameter, with specific surface areas as high as 1884 m2 g−1 or up to 3301 m2 g−1, in contrast to microporous ones with smaller surface areas obtained at low BaO2-loadings. The electrochemical double layer capacitance of the resulting nanocarbons in 0.5 M H2SO4 showed a marked increase with specific surface areas, up to as high as 219 F g−1 for the highest surface area carbon material.  相似文献

High‐proton‐conductive polymer electrolyte with a nanomatrix channel was prepared by graft copolymerization of styrene onto deproteinized natural rubber followed by sulfonation with chlorosulfonic acid. First, natural rubber latex was purified with urea in the presence of surfactant to remove almost all proteins present in the rubber. Second, graft copolymerization of styrene onto deproteinized natural rubber was carried out with tert‐butyl hydroperoxide/tetraethylenepentamine as an initiator at 30°C in latex stage. The graft‐copolymerized natural rubber (DPNR‐graft‐PS) was sulfonated with chlorosulfonic acid in chloroform solution at an ambient temperature. The resulting sulfonated DPNR‐graft‐PS was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, solid state 13C CP/MAS NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and transmission electron microscopy. High proton conductivity of about 0.1 S/cm, less water uptake of 24 wt % and comparatively good stress at break of 9 MPa were accomplished at suitable contents of styrene units and sulfur, i.e., 32 wt % and 75 mol %, respectively. The high proton conductivity, excellent stability, and good mechanical properties were associated with not only the formation of the nanomatrix channel but also a specific concentration of sulfuric acid group. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Axisymmetric nozzle flows with a free‐jet expansion are simulated considering several substances and several flow conditions, and the thermophysical properties in the nozzle and the free‐jet region are predicted. The present numerical method is based on the preconditioning method developed by Yamamoto and the mathematical models of thermophysical properties of the substances. As numerical examples show, gas flows of carbon dioxide, water, and nitrogen under a subcritical pressure condition are first calculated. Calculated distances to the Mach disk are compared with the experimental results, and also the density distributions are compared among these three substances. Second, carbon dioxide flows while changing the pressure from subcritical to supercritical values are calculated and the effect of pressure on the flow field is investigated. Third, flows of water vapor with and without nonequilibrium condensation are calculated and the effect of condensation on the flow field is investigated. © 2010 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 2011  相似文献

The objective of this investigation is to study the influence of vanadium(5.0wt%–10.0wt%) and chromium(0–9.0wt%) on the microstructure and hardness of Cr-V-Mn-Ni white cast irons with spheroidal vanadium carbides. The alloys' microstructural features are presented and discussed with regard to the distribution of phase elements. The structural constituents of the alloys are spheroidal VC, proeutectoid cementite, ledeburite eutectic, rosette-shaped carbide eutectic(based on M7C3), pearlite, martensite, and austenite. Their combinations and area fraction(AF) ratios are reported to be influenced by the alloys' chemical composition. Spheroidized VC particles are found to be sites for the nucleation of carbide eutectics. Cr and V are shown to substitute each other in the VC and M7C3 carbides, respectively. Chromium alloying leads to the formation of a eutectic(γ-Fe + М7С3), preventing the appearance of proeutectoid cementite in the structure. Vanadium and chromium are revealed to increase the total carbide fraction and the amount of austenite in the matrix. Cr is observed to play a key role in controlling the metallic matrix microstructure.  相似文献

New peptidomimetic furin inhibitors with unnatural amino acid residues in the P3 position were synthesized. The most potent compound 4‐guanidinomethyl‐phenylacteyl‐Arg‐Tle‐Arg‐4‐amidinobenzylamide (MI‐1148) inhibits furin with a Ki value of 5.5 pM . The derivatives also strongly inhibit PC1/3, whereas PC2 is less affected. Selected inhibitors were tested in cell culture for antibacterial and antiviral activity against infectious agents known to be dependent on furin activity. A significant protective effect against anthrax and diphtheria toxin was observed in the presence of the furin inhibitors. Furthermore, the spread of the highly pathogenic H5N1 and H7N1 avian influenza viruses and propagation of canine distemper virus was strongly inhibited. Inhibitor MI‐1148 was crystallized in complex with human furin. Its N‐terminal guanidinomethyl group in the para position of the P5 phenyl ring occupies the same position as that found previously for a structurally related inhibitor containing this substitution in the meta position, thereby maintaining all of the important P5 interactions. Our results confirm that the inhibition of furin is a promising strategy for a short‐term treatment of acute infectious diseases.  相似文献

Multivariate calibration models based on data from mid‐infrared spectroscopy of biodiesel/diesel blends were obtained. The blends were prepared from diesel oil and esters of soybean oil, waste cooking oil, and hydrogenated vegetable oil in proportions ranging from 0 to 100 % biodiesel. The results showed that the multivariate regression models with interval partial least squares (iPLS), backward interval partial least squares (biPLS), and synergy interval partial least squares (siPLS) were able to determine the fractions of the infrared spectrum that contain the relevant information for estimating the values of physicochemical properties, flash point, specific gravity, and cetane number, which are used in quality control of the blends. In the best models, the values of determination coefficients were greater than 0.9500, proving their efficiency as an alternative to traditional analytical methods.  相似文献

Electromagnetic Shielding Properties of Woodceramics Made from Wastepaper   总被引:18,自引:0,他引:18  
Woodceramics are new porous carbon materials, which are made by impregnating woody materials with phenol resin and then thermoformed in a vacuum furnace and these have been shown to have electromagnetic shielding properties. In the recycling of wastepaper, ways of using the wastepaper other than for paper pulp are needed to be developed. In this study, we made Woodceramics from handbill advertisement paper and telephone directory paper, and measured their electromagnetic shielding properties in order to find new uses for wastepaper. The results showed that the Woodceramics made from wastepaper had an electric shielding effectiveness of 30 dB for 100 MHz and 40 to 43 dB for 300 MHz or higher, and had a magnetic shielding effectiveness of 30 dB for 100 MHz and 37 dB for about 400 MHz. An electric equivalent circuit of the pore model in the Woodceramics is introduced. In addition, it is proposed that the excellent electromagnetic shielding effectiveness of the Woodceramics is caused by dielectric loss.  相似文献

The sintering behavior of Y2O3 doped with 1 mol% of a trivalent or tetravalent cation was investigated by pressureless sintering in air. Ga3+ or Ge4+-doped Y2O3 bodies exhibited higher relative densities than the undoped Y2O3, while the La3+ or Zr4+-doping suppressed the densification of Y2O3. An interdiffusion experiment was performed on the diffusion couples of polycrystalline Er2O3 and Y2O3 doped with Ni2+ or Zr4+, which are some of the most effective and least effective dopants for the improvement of the sinterability, respectively. The lattice and grain boundary diffusion coefficients of the Er3+ cation in Y2O3 were increased by the Ni2+-doping, but were decreased by the Zr4+-doping. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy observations and nano-probe X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy analyses confirmed that the dopant cations segregate along the grain boundaries without forming an amorphous phase. The doping effect on the sinterability of Y2O3 must result from the change in the diffusivity in Y2O3.  相似文献
