LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 was heat-treated under high oxygen-pressure and Ar-reducing conditions, and then the cathode properties, thermodynamic stability and average and local structures were investigated. From X-ray diffraction and ICP measurements, it was found that the pristine LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 had a single phase of the layered rock-salt structure although the Ni content was slightly rich compared with the nominal one. These characteristics were kept even after the heat-treatments. Charge–discharge cycle tests clarified that the cycle performance of LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 was improved by both the reducing and oxidizing treatments. From neutron diffraction and X-ray absorption fine structure measurements, the local distortion around the transition metal, especially Ni, was supposed to be one of the important factors to determine the cathode properties. It was also found that the sample with higher thermodynamic stability exhibited better capacity retention in the discharge–charge cycle tests.  相似文献

Spray atomization and evaporation play extremely important roles in mixture formation and combustion processes of direct injection (DI) gasoline engines. In this study, the fundamental characteristics of a swirl spray injected into a constant volume vessel are investigated by means of several laser diagnostic techniques including the laser diffraction-based method for droplet size distribution, the laser induced fluorescence-particle image velocimetry for velocity distributions of droplets and spray-induced ambient air flow, and the two-wavelength laser absorption-scattering technique for concentration distributions of liquid and vapor phases in the spray. The results show that the droplets at outer zone of the spray exhibit larger diameter than those at inner zone under both ambient pressures 0.1 and 0.4 MPa. While this can be partially attributed to the effect of spray-induced ambient air flow, the strength of ambient air flow become small when increasing the ambient pressure from 0.1 to 0.4 MPa, indicating the strong influence of spray dynamics on the droplet size distribution. In the evaporating spray, there are higher vapor concentrations near the spray axis than at peripheral zones. At 4.0 ms after start of injection, spray droplets almost completely evaporate under ambient temperature 500 K and pressure 1.0 MPa, but there are significantly amount of fuels with equivalence ratio below 0.5 in the spray. Reduction in ambient pressure promotes the air entrainment and droplet evaporation, but lowered ambient pressure results in more fuel vapor of equivalence ratio above 1.3 along the spray axis.  相似文献

Volatile aldehydes were generated in the exhaust of high-oleic safflower oil during heating at 180°C by spraying water into atmospheres with four levels of oxygen concentrations (2, 4, 10, and 20%). These aldehydes were quantitatively analyzed by HPLC after the conversion to 2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazones. Ten alkanals (C2 through C10), eight 2-alkenals (C3 through C10) and three 2,4-alkadienals (C7, C9, and C10) were found. These aldehyde levels were found to be positively correlated with both the heating time and the atmospheric oxygen concentration. The total amounts of aldehydes were the lowest in the oil heated in an atmosphere with 2% O2, and corresponded to 1/10 of those in the atmosphere with 20% O2. Acrolein was not found in oils heated in the atmosphere with 2% oxygen. These results suggest that frying in atmospheres with low oxygen levels can effectively decrease the generation of volatile aldehydes in the exhaust.  相似文献

Pulse electric current sintering is used to prepare a compact from resinificated hydrous silk powder. Compacts with no remnant silk powders are formed with 20 wt% added water, 20–40 MPa molding pressure, and >353 K molding temperature. The latter two are much lower than those used for conventional hot pressing. No dependence on molding pressure and temperature are found in XRD or FT‐IR analysis, except for a compact molded at 473 K, for which silk fibroin decomposition is confirmed by DSC, EGA‐MS, and molecular weight measurements. The compact's three‐point bending strength depends on the molding temperature, except for the temperature at which silk fibroin decomposes. The maximum three‐point bending strength resembles that of general‐purpose epoxy resin and is much higher than that of PLA.

The effect of phosphorus ions on the proton conductivity was examined for the sol–gel-derived glasses. The porous glasses were prepared through hydrolysis of PO(OCH3)3 and Si(OC2H5)4, in which the phosphorus ions consisted of the POH bonds and were dissolved into the silica matrix without any P-O-Si bond. The electrical conductivity increased in a humid atmosphere and reached ∼30 mS/cm at 50°C under 70% RH. High conductivity is achieved by both the POH bonds and the molecular water bonded to the POH bonds. The conductivity increased with a change in humidity from 40% to 80% RH. The phosphorus ions were selectively dissolved in water, resulting in a lower conductivity.  相似文献

Fixation of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in air onto granular activated carbon impregnated with chemicals was attempted to improve removal efficiency of NOx by activated carbon adsorption. Nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2), were tried to remove by a flow test. Fixed-bed adsorption breakthrough curves were obtained when some kinds of carbon were used. The amount adsorbed of NO2 changed with the amount and kinds of metallic salts impregnated. Chemicals-impregnated carbons were prepared from a commercial activated carbon. Among obtained carbons, the one which showed the highest selectivity for NOx was chosen, and its performance with the change in humidity was determined. Removal mechanism of NO2 was estimated, and the carbon impregnated with potassium hydroxide was found to be superior to any other carbon tested. The amount of the adsorbed NO and that produced by the reduction of NO2 were determined from the breakthrough curves.  相似文献

Dielectric depression and dispersion were observed in BaTiO3 ceramic films fabricated by electrophoretic deposition followed by sintering. The dielectric constants were depressed down to 6800–4600 around the Curie point ( T C ). The dielectric dispersion occurred above T C . These dielectric properties are attributable to a surface layer formed during sintering. XRD analysis indicated that the surface layer was a hexagonal-like BaTiO3 phase. A mixed solvent of acetylacetone and alcohol employed in the present work may have been responsible for the formation of the surface layer.  相似文献

The phase behaviors for the blends of poly(3‐hydroxypropionate) (PHP), poly(L ‐lactide) (PLLA), poly(D ‐lactide) (PDLA), and poly(D,L ‐lactide) (PDLLA) with catechin were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. In PLLA/catechin, PDLA/catechin, and PDLLA/catechin blends, two glass transitions were detected when the catechin content was ≥40 wt %, whereas in PHP/catechin blends only one glass transition was observed over the whole range of blend compositions. The former and the latter results should reflect the inhomogeneous and the homogeneous nature of the blends, respectively, in the amorphous phase. These different phase behaviors should arise from the differences in the chemical structures between PHP and PLLA/PDLA/PDLLA, which dominates the strength and the number of intermolecular hydrogen‐bonding interactions between the ester carbonyl groups of polyesters and the phenol groups of catechin. As detected by FTIR spectroscopy, in comparison with PHP, the steric hindrance of side‐chain methyl groups of PLLA, PDLA, and PDLLA might restrain the formation of hydrogen bonds between their ester carbonyl groups and the phenol hydroxyl groups of catechin, even weakening the strength of such hydrogen bonds. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
