Liquid Li–Pb alloy is served as neutron multiplier, tritium breeder, and coolant in Dual Coolant Lithium–Lead (DCLL) breeding blankets. In order to monitor the tritium transport continuously and measure the tritium production rate accurately, the concentration of hydrogen isotopes in liquid breeder is an essential factor for tritium measurement. The hydrogen isotopes permeation-based capsule seems to be the most reliable sensor and is simple from the fabrication point of view. To verify the stability and repeatability of hydrogen isotopes concentration measured by permeation capsule in Li–Pb, a system based on a Nb-capsule and a quadrupole mass spectrometry was devised. The sensor would be applied to determine the variation rate of total pressure while a quadrupole mass spectrometry to measure partial pressure values of different hydrogen isotopes. The response time of the sensor is less than 100 s in liquid Li–Pb alloy and the growth rate of pressure has good repeatability in dynamic mode. It has long been known that dislocations can be used to tune the functional and mechanical properties of ceramics. However, introducing dislocations with controllable networks and densities into ceramics is difficult. In this study, a mechanical rolling technique was proposed to introduce dislocations into ceramics. Using a hard SiC ball with a diameter of 5 mm as a roller, plastic zones and dislocations were successfully produced in a SrTiO3 (STO) single crystal. The plastic zone area and dislocation densities were determined by the applied force (F) and number of rolling cycles. A force of 10 N produced a scalable plastic zone with an area of 140 µm × 5000 µm without crack formation after 100 rolling cycles. The dislocation density at the center of the plastic deformation zone can reach ∼1014 m2, which is an order of magnitude higher than that achieved previously by others. Increasing the applied force increased the density of the introduced dislocations, for example, ∼2 × 1014 m−2 under F = 30 and 35 N, however, lead to crack nucleation in the sample. The dislocations introduced significantly enhanced the mechanical properties of the STO crystal. The measured Vickers’ hardness and fracture toughness increased by 55%–60% and 23%–24%, respectively, compared to the crystal before rolling. This method can serve as a robust technique for engineering dislocations in ceramics, fulfilling the requirements of dislocation-tuned mechanical and functional investigations. 相似文献

Abstract A lumped kinetic model for catalytic naphtha reforming with 27 lumps is developed in order to predict aromatic compositions in more detail. The 8-carbon aromatics are subdivided into ethylbenzene and xylene, and 9-carbon aromatics are subdivided into trimethylbenzene, methylethylbenzene, and propylbenzene, respectively. The simulation of a Universal Oil Products (UOP) commercial continuous reforming unit is carried out to validate the model. The results show that perfect agreement of compositions at the exit of the fourth reactor is obtained between simulated values and reported values and the mass contents of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, trimethylbenzene, methylethylbenzene, and propylbenzene are predicted accurately. The calculated temperature at the exit of each reactor is consistent with the actual value. The composition and temperature profiles are calculated, and the two-dimensional distributions of coke content of catalyst bed are simulated. 相似文献
