This paper studies the performance of switch and stay combining (SSC) diversity in the presence of co‐channel interference over correlated Weibull fading channels. SSC diversity based on signal‐to‐interference ratio (SIR) is a low‐complexity and a very efficient technique that reduces fading and co‐channel interference influence. New closed‐form expressions for the probability density function and cumulative distribution function of the output SIR's are derived. These formulas are used in a detailed analysis of the average output SIR and outage probability. The influence of fading severity and correlation coefficient on the optimum switching threshold and system performance is investigated. Monte Carlo simulations are performed to verify obtained theoretical results and determine average bit error rate in detecting binary phase‐shift keying (BPSK), differential BPSK and quadrature amplitude modulation signals. Carbon xerogels synthesized from polycondensation of resorcinol with formaldehyde, having specific surface areas in the range 650 to 990 m2 g−1 and variable degrees of surface oxidation, are used to prepare TiO2-carbon xerogel composites by sol-gel methods. These composite materials are used to support Pt nanoparticles (5 wt.%) by the photodeposition technique. After a high temperature reduction treatment at 773 K, the obtained materials were characterized in order to assess the interactions between the phases Pt, TiO2 and carbon xerogel. It is observed that the carbon xerogel acts as an adhesive agent of the TiO2 and Pt particles, enhancing the interaction between the metal and the composite support.  相似文献

A group of organotin(IV) complexes were prepared: [SnCy3(DMNI)] ( 1 ), [SnCy3(BZDO)] ( 2 ), [SnCy3(DMFU)] ( 3 ), and [SnPh2(BZDO)2] ( 4 ), for which DMNIH=2,6‐dimethoxynicotinic acid, BZDOH=1,4‐benzodioxane‐6‐carboxylic acid, and DMFUH=2,5‐dimethyl‐3‐furoic acid. The cytotoxic activities of compounds 1 – 4 were tested against pancreatic carcinoma (PANC‐1), erythroleukemia (K562), and two glioblastoma multiform (U87 and LN‐229) human cell lines; they show very high antiproliferative activity, with IC50 values in the 150–700 nM range after incubation for 72 h. Distribution of cellular DNA upon treatment with 1 – 4 revealed that whereas compounds 1 – 3 induce apoptosis in most of the cell lines, compound 4 does not affect cell viability in any cell line tested, indicating a possible difference in cytotoxic mechanism. Studies with the daunomycin‐resistant K562/R cell line expressing P‐glycoprotein (Pgp) showed that compounds 1 – 4 are not substrates of this protein efflux pump, indicating that these compounds do not induce acquisition of multidrug resistance, which is associated with the overexpression of Pgp.  相似文献

This paper presents a beam formulation for large displacement analysis of beam-type structures with flexible connections. Within the framework of updated Lagrangian incremental formulation and the nonlinear displacement field of thin-walled cross-sections, which accounts for restrained warping and the second-order displacement terms due to large rotations, the equilibrium equations of a straight beam element are firstly developed. Due to the nonlinear displacement field, the geometric potential of semitangential moment is obtained for both the internal torsion and bending moments, respectively. Material nonlinearity is introduced for an elastic-perfectly plastic material through the plastic hinge formation at finite element ends. To account for the flexible connection behaviour, a special transformation procedure is developed. The numerical algorithm is implemented in a computer programme and its reliability is validated trough several test examples.  相似文献

Surface roughness is often taken as an indicator of the quality of machined work pieces. Achieving the desired surface quality is of great importance for the product function. The paper analyzes the influence of the cutting depth, feed rate, and number of revolutions on surface roughness. The obtained results of the experimental research conducted on the work piece “diving manifold,” were used to determine the coefficients by different numerical methods of the same prediction model. The results of the surface roughness provided by the prediction functions generated in this work were compared with the results of the surface roughness obtained by using neural networks. The assessment of the surface roughness provided by models and neural networks can facilitate the work of less experienced technologists and thus shorten the time of production technology preparation. The obtained results show that the total mean square deviation in models obtained by the application of the moving linear least squares and the moving linear least absolute deviations methods is nevertheless considerably higher than by the application of the neural network method.  相似文献

In order to examine antioxidant properties of methanol extracts of cones and needles of the unexplored Juniperus sibirica Burgsdorf. (Cupressaceae) species, various assays which measure free radical scavenging ability were carried out: DPPH, hydroxyl, superoxide anion and nitric oxide radical scavenger capacity test and reducing power (FRAP) assay. In all of the tests the extracts showed a potent antioxidant effect compared with BHT, a well-known synthetic antioxidant. In addition, the anti-inflammatory activity considering inhibitory potency toward COX-1 and 12-LOX was observed. Both extracts showed markedly anti-inflammatory activity, with needles having somewhat higher potency concerning both assays, reaching IC50 at 1.29 mg/mL towards COX-1 and IC50 at 1.34 mg/mL towards 12-LOX. Besides, in the extracts examined the total phenolic and flavonoid amounts were also determined, together with presence and content of the selected flavonoids: luteolin-7-O-glucoside, apigenin-7-O-glucoside, luteolin, apigenin, rutin and quercetin, which were studied using LC–MS/MS technique. LC–MS/MS analysis showed a noticeable content of natural products according to which the examined J. sibirica Burgsdorf. species could well be regarded as a promising new source of bioactive natural compounds, which can be used both as a food supplement and a remedy.  相似文献

This paper studies the bit-error rate (BER) performance of partially coherent equal-gain combining reception of uncoded and low-density parity-check (LDPC)-coded binary and quaternary phase-shift keying signals over generalized ?? ? ?? fading channels. For the uncoded signal detection case the obtained numerical and simulation results illustrate the BER performance degradation due to the imperfect reference signal recovery, receiver unbalancing and fading. It is demonstrated that imperfect cophasing causes an irreducible BER performance. Furthermore, we design large girth quasi-cyclic LDPC code with high code rate, suitable for use in communications over generalized fading channels. The proposed LDPC code does not exhibit the error floor phenomena, in the region of interest, even in the presence of imperfect cophasing and receiver unbalances, and outperforms standard convolutional code of lower code rate in the observed impairments. The effects of number of iterations in decoding algorithm and codeword length on BER performance are also investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance analysis of dual branch switch and stay combining (SSC) receivers operating over correlated and identically distributed (i.d.) α-μ fading channels is presented. Assuming this diversity technique, infinite series expressions with fast converging properties are derived for the probability density function (pdf), cumulative distribution function (cdf) and the moments of the output envelope. The proposed analysis is used for evaluating the important performance criteria, such as the outage probability, the mean square output envelope, the amount of fading and the average bit error probability (ABEP). The effects of fading severity, branch correlation and optimum choice of switching threshold are considered and numerically presented. Monte Carlo simulations confirm the validity and accuracy of the derived analytical expressions.  相似文献

The fabrication of a novel biochip, designed for dissection of multiprotein complex formation, is reported. An array of metal chelators has been produced by piezo dispensing of a bis-nitrilotriacetic acid (bis-NTA) thiol on evaporated gold thin films, prestructured with a microcontact printed grid of eicosanethiols. The bis-NTA thiol is mixed in various proportions with an inert, tri(ethylene glycol) hexadecane thiol, and the thickness and morphological homogeneity of the dispensed layers are characterized by imaging ellipsometry before and after back-filling with the same inert thiol and subsequent rinsing. It is found that the dispensed areas display a monotonic increase in thickness with increasing molar fraction of bis-NTA in the dispensing solution, and they are consistently a few Angstr?ms thicker than those prepared at the same molar fraction by solution self-assembly under equilibrium-like conditions. The bulkiness of the bis-NTA tail group and the short period of time available for chemisorption and in-plane organization of the dispensed thiols are most likely responsible for the observed difference in thickness. Moreover, the functional properties of this biochip are demonstrated by studying multiple protein-protein interactions using imaging surface plasmon resonance. The subunits of the type I interferon receptor are immobilized as a composition array determined by the surface concentration of bis-NTA in the array elements. Ligand dissociation kinetics depends on the receptor surface concentration, which is ascribed to the formation of a ternary complex by simultaneous interaction of the ligand with the two receptor subunits. Thus, multiplexed monitoring of binding phenomena at various compositions (receptor densities) offers a powerful tool to dissect protein-protein interactions.  相似文献

Solid platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), consisting of coagulated plasma from fractionated blood, has been proposed to be a suitable carrier for recombinant bone morphogenetic protein 2 (BMP2) to target mesenchymal cells during bone regeneration. However, whether solid PRF can increase the expression of BMPs in mesenchymal cells remains unknown. Proteomics analysis confirmed the presence of TGF-β1 but not BMP2 in PRF lysates. According to the existing knowledge of recombinant TGF-β1, we hypothesized that PRF can increase BMP2 expression in mesenchymal cells. To test this hypothesis, we blocked TGF-β receptor 1 kinase with SB431542 in gingival fibroblasts exposed to PRF lysates. RT-PCR and immunoassays confirmed that solid PRF lysates caused a robust SB431542-dependent increase in BMP2 expression in gingival fibroblasts. Additionally, fractions of liquid PRF, namely platelet-poor plasma (PPP) and the buffy coat (BC) layer, but not heat-denatured PPP (Alb-gel), greatly induced the expression of BMP2 in gingival fibroblasts. Even though PRF has no detectable BMPs, PRF lysates similar to recombinant TGF-β1 had the capacity to provoke canonical BMP signaling, as indicated by the nuclear translocation of Smad1/5 and the increase in its phosphorylation. Taken together, our data suggest that PRF can activate TGF-β receptor 1 kinase and consequently induce the production of BMP2 in cells of the mesenchymal lineage.  相似文献
