Two different peptones obtained by enzymatic hydrolysis of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) head waste have been shown to be effective in promoting the growth of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus bulgaricus Persian Type Culture Collection (PTCC) 1332, Lactobacillus acidophilus PTCC 1643, Lactobacillus casei PTCC 1608, Lactobacillus delbrukii PTCC 1333, Lactobacillus plantarum PTCC 1058, Lactococcus lactis PTCC 1336, and Lactobacillus sakei PTCC 1712). Peptones obtained from the enzymatic hydrolysis with Alcalase or Protamex were used instead of the standard peptones used in commercial MRS media. Peptones produced by Alcalase and Protamex had a 34% and 19% degree of hydrolysis, respectively. The results showed that the peptones from Alcalase and Protamex were better at promoting lactic acid bacteria (LAB) growth than the commercial MRS media (P < 0.05). The choice of proteolytic enzyme used to produce the fish hydrolysate had a considerable impact on the performance of the resulting hydrolysate, both in terms of maximum growth rate and biomass production. Peptones produced using Alcalase, with a higher degree of hydrolysis, induced better growth and performed better overall as an LAB substrate than those using Protamex. Current study revealed that enzymatic-modified fish by-products can be used as low cast nitrogen source for bacterial growth.  相似文献

In this study, effects of 8 different sourdough starters prepared with Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Lactobacillus plantarum, L. acidophilus, and Leuconostoc mesenteroides were investigated on the phytic acid level and mole ratio of phytic acid to zinc in a traditional Iranian bread (sangak). Different sourdough preparations were made and incubated at 30°C for 16 h and added to the dough at 10, 20, and 30% replacement levels. Use of sourdough resulted in a decrease in phytic acid level (also in a decrease in the phytic acid to zinc mole ratio) and corresponding increase in zinc bioavailability index when compared to the commercial sangak bread. The lowest phytic acid concentration and highest zinc bioavailability index were achieved when S. cerevisiae, L. plantarum, and Leu. mesenteroides were used at 30.0% dough replacement with sourdough. This study provides awareness about the negative impacts of higher phytic acid level in the breads, which is particularly the case for sangak bread, and also provides a solution for such issue.  相似文献

Summary

Butter fat was interesterified in three organic solvent media, hexane, hexane‐chloroform (70:30, v/v), and hexane‐ethyl acetate (70:30, v/v), at different water contents, using commercial immobilized lipase from Mucor miehei. The results indicate that the addition of 30% of either chloroform or ethyl acetate to the hexane resulted in a 25% increase in the interesterification yield; moreover, the addition of 0.8 to 1% water shifted the hydrolytic affinity of lipase towards low molecular weight fatty acids. However, the addition of a small portion of water in hexane, 0.4%, increased the amount of free fatty acids from 0.30 to 7.98 mmole per gram of butter.  相似文献

The uses of polyurethane foams have been increased too much as new abilities are known for these polymers. This increments lead to an ecological problem. They have low density, occupying large spaces and not easy degradable. This causes environmental pollution that is a disadvantage of artificial materials. In this study, waste flexible polyurethane foams based on MDI with a trans-esterification process were converted to new material containing OH functional groups in “split-phase glycolysis” (SPG) condition. In this process, products are separated in two phases that could be reused in the production process of new PUFs. This process is one of the best solutions for ecological problem and applicable for every PU structure polymer with its proper variations. This process has the capability to produce flexible and rigid polyols which can be used to make PU foams with high recyclate content. The similarity of upper and lower phases to the virgin one has been characterized, using FTIR, GPC, and other instrumental methods. Both phases of recyclate were introduced in new PUF formulation, comparing the results with original foam.  相似文献

This article reports on the properties of polyurethane rigid foams, which are used as insulating materials. Most polyurethane rigid foams, derived from cellular polymers, are unstable and tend to crack when acted upon by external forces. These foams are classified as a subgroup of cellular polymers, and thus their low stabilization levels can be partly explained by the fact that they contain cells. In these experiments, we attempted to add talc, to polyurethane rigid foams, as a filler, in an attempt to investigate its effect on the physical properties of the constructed foams in both horizontal and vertical directions. Physical and comparative tests were performed on various compositions of polyurethane foam to chart their insulating capabilities, and our comparative analysis indicated that advances had been achieved with respect to some of its properties.  相似文献

Lead-free, (BiNa0.88K0.08Li0.04)0.5Ti0.995 Mn0.015 O3 piezoceramic has been successfully densified by a novel electrical current applied technique known as flash sintering (FS) at 880 °C. The effect of alternating and direct current, current density limit and holding time on the densification, crystal structure, electromechanical and electrical properties have been investigated. The optimum flash condition was obtained with a 1 KHz alternating current, 100 V·cm?1 initial electric field and preset maximum current limit of 1.5 A·cm-2. The flash sintered specimen is characterized with finer grain size (10–15 μm), slightly higher electromechanical properties and higher symmetry butterfly shape strain hysteresis loop compared to conventional sintering. Under both sintering conditions uniform distribution of elements and pure rhombohedral structure were observed. Flash sintering also results in lower resistivity and more significant grain boundaries contributions in the conduction mechanism.  相似文献

As building practices change, procedures that seemed indispensable at one point can be abandoned for others, one example of which is the bill of quantities (B/Q). Research into the extant literature attributes the declining use of B/Qs to a multitude of reasons, such as its complexity, the potentially long time required to produce it, the growth in popularity of non-traditional procurement systems, and the challenge of using the information within the document in a construction schedule. With these issues in mind, building information modeling (BIM) and virtual reality (VR) are combined and proposed as a potential solution that allows inclusion of the client into the design process. Following a literature review and precedent study, an experiment was carried out using this new process to simulate a client’s design decisions on window and interior furnishings. The choices made by the client using VR automatically updated a B/Q schedule built in Revit and allowed them to have a firm understanding of project costs. Besides giving the client more confidence in a pleasing final outcome, the technology also ensured an up-to-date, accurate, and easily understandable B/Q. The proposed method features great potential savings in cost and time and gives the B/Q a newfound importance in future construction processes. The research case presented in this paper is a stepping stone in exploring new opportunities offered by VR and BIM and how they could improve the reliability and accuracy of traditional procurement within construction, specifically within the B/Q document.  相似文献

Piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate (PZT) ceramic fiber/polymer composites were fabricated by a novel technique referred to as "relic" processing. Basically, this involved impregnating a woven carbon-fiber template material with PZT precursor by soaking the template in a PZT stock solution. Careful heat treatment pyrolized the carbon, resulting in a PZT ceramic relic that retained the fibrous template form. After sintering, the densified relic was backfilled with polymer to form a composite. Optimized relic processing consisted of soaking activated carbon-fiber fabric twice in an intermediate concentration (405-mg PZT/(1-g solution)) alkoxide PZT solution and sintering at 1285°C for 2 h. A series of piezoelectric composites encompassing a wide range of dielectric and piezoelectric properties was prepared by varying the PZT-fiber orientation and polymer-matrix material. In PZT/Eccogel polymer composites with PZT fibers orientated parallel to the electrodes, K = 75, d 33= 145 pC/N, d h= 45 ± 5 pC/N, and d hgh= 3150 × 10−15 m2/N were measured. Furthermore, in composites with a number of PZT fibers arranged perpendicular to the electroded surfaces, K = 190, d 33= 250 pC/N, d h= 65 ± 2 pC/N, and d h gh= 2600 × 10−15 m2/N.  相似文献

Barium strontium titanate, (Bax,Sr1-x TiO3, thin films of various compositions were prepared by a sol-gel method. Solutions consisting of acetate powders and titanium IV isopropoxide in a mixture of acetic acid and ethylene glycol were spin-coated onto silicon and platinum-coated silicon substrates. Processing parameters were optimized to develop stable solutions which yielded films with relatively low crystallization temperatures. It was determined that ethylene glycol was a necessary component of the solution to increase stability to precipitation and to decrease the crystallization temperature of the films. The grain size of the films varied with annealing temperature and atmosphere and directly affected the dielectric properties. A dielectric constant of 400 and a dissipation factor of 0.04 were measured at 1 kHz for (Ba0.8,Sr0.2) TiO3 films heated to 700°C for 1 h with a thickness of approximately 400 nm. Films of this composition maintained low leakage current densities for extended time periods when measured at an applied field of 75 kV/cm.  相似文献

The compaction and stress generation on terrain were always investigated based on empirical approaches or testing methods for tire/soil interaction.However,the analysis should be performed for various tires and at different soil strengths.With the increasing capacity of numerical computers and simulation software,finite element modeling of tire/terrain interaction seems a good approach for predicting the effect of change on the parameters.In this work,an elaborated 3D model fully complianning with the geometry of radial tire 115/60R13 was established,using commercial code Solidwork Simulation.The hyper-elastic and incompressible rubber as tire main material was analyzed by Moony-Rivlin model.The Drucker-Prager yield criterion was used to model the soil compaction.Results show that the model realistically predicts the laboratory tests outputs of the modeled tire on the soft soil.  相似文献
