Carbon fiber-reinforced silicon carbide matrix composites have the potential to overcome the shortcoming of the currently used carbon/carbon friction materials in aircraft brakes. In this article, the carbon/silicon carbide (C/SiC) composites were prepared by chemical vapor infiltration method, and the brake disks with different densities and component content were finally obtained. The friction coefficient and friction stability can be significantly improved by increasing both material density and carbon content. When the density of C/SiC composite is 2.3 g/cm3 , the coefficient of friction measured is 0.23, the coefficient of friction stability remains about 0.43, the liner wear rate is less than 9.3 μm/cycle, and the weight wear rate is less than 9.1 μm/cycle. The rapid increase of friction coefficient approaching the end of braking is mainly related to the increasing of surface temperature in a short time and the enhanced adhesion and abrasion of contact conjunctions and asperities. The C/SiC composites exhibited a good stability of braking against fading versus the braking number and surface temperature. The surfaces of C/SiC brake disks were covered with wear debris including the fragment of carbon fibers after the braking tests. The wear on the surfaces is significantly determined by cyclic mechanical and thermal stresses, which result in the micro-cracks in the SiC matrix, the thin flakes of the surface materials as well as the grooves. 相似文献

利用碳酸亚乙酯与1,6-己二胺、异佛尔酮二胺反应,制备出两种含氨基甲酸酯基的二元醇,基于氨基甲酸酯二元醇与1,6-己二醇二丙烯酸酯(HDDA)、新戊二醇二丙烯酸酯(NPGDA)及三羟甲基丙烷三丙烯酸酯(TMPTA)本体条件下的Oxa-Michael加成反应及酯交换反应,合成出6种含氨基甲酸酯基的丙烯酸酯混合物。利用FTIR及高分辨质谱分析了产物结构,用FTIR考察了所合成氨基甲酸酯基丙烯酸酯光固化过程的动力学,测定了光固化膜的性能。结果表明,在含占总质量分数3% 的2-羟基-2-甲基-1-苯基-1-丙酮(1173)光引发剂的引发下,氨基甲酸酯基丙烯酸酯能在30s内固化形成表面平整、柔韧性(0.5~2.5mm)良好、透明或半透明的膜;固化膜的凝胶率及铅笔硬度分别为92%~96%、4~5H,对玻璃的附着力为0~1级。 相似文献

A cheap acrylic AB* monomer, 2‐(2‐chloroacetyloxy)‐isopropyl acrylate (CAIPA), was prepared from 2‐hydroxyisopropyl acrylate with chloroacetyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine. The self‐condensing vinyl polymerization by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), a “living”/controlled radical polymerization, has yielded hyperbranched polymers. All the polymerization products were characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR). CAIPA exhibited distinctive polymerization behavior that is similar to a classical step‐growth polymerization in the relationship of molecular weight to polymerization time, especially during the initial stage of the polymerization. However, a significant amount of monomer remained present throughout the polymerization, which is consistent with typical chain polymerization. Also, if a much longer polymerization time was used, the polymer became gel. As a result of the unequal reactivity of group A* and B*, the polymerization is different from an ideal self‐condensing vinyl polymerization: the branch structures of polymers prepared depend dramatically on the ratio of 2,2'‐bipyridyl to CAIPA. Hyperbranched polymers exhibit improved solubility in organic solvent, however, they have lower thermal stability than their linear analogs. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Natural‐looking insect animation is very difficult to simulate. The fast movement and small scale of insects often challenge the standard motion capture techniques. As for the manual key‐framing or physics‐driven methods, significant amounts of time and efforts are necessary due to the delicate structure of the insect, which prevents practical applications. In this paper, we address this challenge by presenting a two‐level control framework to efficiently automate the modeling and authoring of insects’ locomotion. On the top level, we design a Triangle Placement Engine to automatically determine the location and orientation of insects’ foot contacts, given the user‐defined trajectory and settings, including speed, load, path and terrain etc. On the low‐level, we relate the Central Pattern Generator to the triangle profiles with the assistance of a Controller Look‐Up Table to fast simulate the physically‐based movement of insects. With our approach, animators can directly author insects’ behavior among a wide range of locomotion repertoire, including walking along a specified path or on an uneven terrain, dynamically adjusting to external perturbations and collectively transporting prey back to the nest. 相似文献

Rate control plays an important role in regulating bit streams in video coding. In order to obtain good coding performance, the hierarchical B prediction structure has been adopted in Multi-view Video Coding (MVC). However, the conventional rate control scheme is not efficient in the hierarchical B prediction structure. In this paper, we propose a rate control algorithm to address this problem. First, the accurate estimation of Mean Absolute Distortion (MAD) of the current frame is desired for both quantization parameter (QP) selection and Rate Distortion Optimization (RDO). Considering the hierarchical B structure, a bi-directional MAD prediction model is proposed to predict the MAD of the current frame by using the actual MADs of the encoded frames in the lower Temporal Layers (TLs). Second, the number of header bits has a close relationship with the TLs in the hierarchical B prediction structure. Therefore, we propose an enhanced prediction method in which a proportional relationship of the header bits is introduced if the frames are located in different TLs. Experimental results show that our proposed algorithm can achieve both accurate target bit rate and good coding performance. 相似文献

The emulsifier‐free emulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) was conducted with microwave irradiation. Superfine and monodisperse poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) microspheres were obtained. Microwave irradiation notably promoted the polymerization reaction. This phenomenon was ascribed to the acceleration of the initiator [potassium persulfate (KPS)] decomposition by microwave irradiation. The experimental results revealed that the apparent activation energy of KPS decomposition decreased from 128.3 to 106.0 kJ/mol with microwave irradiation. The average particle size of the prepared PMMA latex was mainly controlled with the MMA concentration; it increased linearly from 103 to 215 nm when the MMA concentration increased from 0 to 0.3 mol/L and then remained almost constant at MMA concentrations of 0.3–1.0 mol/L. The KPS concentration had no effect on the average particle size, but the particle size dispersity was significantly reduced by a high KPS concentration. With a mixed polymerization phase (water/acetone = 1:3 v/v) or a redox initiation system, PMMA nanoparticles were obtained with an average particle size of 45 or 67 nm, respectively. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
