Frames of Reference in Mobile Augmented Reality Displays.

In 3 experiments, the authors investigated spatial updating in augmented reality environments. Participants learned locations of virtual objects on the physical floor. They were turned to appropriate facing directions while blindfolded before making pointing judgments (e.g., "Imagine you are facing X. Point to Y"). Experiments manipulated the angular difference between the learning heading and the imagined heading and between the actual heading and the imagined heading. The effect of actual-imagined on pointing latency was observed for naive users but not for users with brief training or instructions concerning the fact that objects can move with body movements. The results indicated that naive users used an environment-stabilized reference frame to access information arrays, but with experience and instruction the nature of the representation changed from an environment stabilized to a body stabilized reference frame. In-Situ Wet Chemical Composition of Multicomponent Precursors to Blue Emitting Sr2CeO4 Phosphors

Hybrid precursors were assembled with cerium coordination polymers, polyethyl glycohol (PEG), SrCO3 and other functional components using a modified in-situ chemical polymeric gel technology. The hybrid precursors were calcinated to achieve the Sr2CeO4 phosphors, whose particle sizes were in the range of micrometer by XRD and SEM. The photoluminescence spectra indicate that the phosphors present a strong blue emission.

介绍了ESW激波吹灰器的工作原理及其在茂名分公司Ⅲ套催化裂化装置余热锅炉的应用情况。应用结果表明，使用ESW激波吹灰器吹灰效果明显，吹灰后余热锅炉排烟温度可下降29℃，过热蒸汽产量增加7t/h，锅炉自产饱和蒸汽产量增加2t/h，有效提高了余热锅炉的传热效率和过热能力，节能效果显著。对应用中出现的一些问题提出了改进建议。     

Numerical experiments of preconditioned Krylov subspace methods solving the dense non-symmetric systems arising from BEM

Discretization of boundary integral equations leads, in general, to fully populated non-symmetric linear systems of equations. An inherent drawback of boundary element method (BEM) is that, the non-symmetric dense linear systems must be solved. For large-scale problems, the direct methods require expensive computational cost and therefore the iterative methods are perhaps more preferable. This paper studies the comparative performances of preconditioned Krylov subspace solvers as bi-conjugate gradient (Bi-CG), generalized minimal residual (GMRES), conjugate gradient squared (CGS), quasi-minimal residual (QMR) and bi-conjugate gradient stabilized (Bi-CGStab) for the solution of dense non-symmetric systems. Several general preconditioners are also considered and assessed. The results of numerical experiments suggest that the preconditioned Krylov subspace methods are effective approaches solving the large-scale dense non-symmetric linear systems arising from BEM.

豫西地区中、下二叠统太原组、山西组、上石盒子组及下石盒子组煤成气资源丰富，但成煤环境纵向发育与横向变化较大，规律难于把握。因此，开展煤成气源岩沉积环境研究有利于该区煤成气资源的勘探与开发及合理的利用。通过露头、钻井、地震资料及分析、测试资料的综合研究认为：本区中、下二叠统主要沉积了一套浅海碳酸盐岩，海湾-泻湖、潮坪、沼泽、障壁岛(砂质滩、坝)及三角洲相陆源碎屑岩和煤层。从总的沉积特征来看，下二叠统太原组、山西组基本上发育滨、浅海相碳酸盐岩、陆源碎屑岩和煤的混合沉积。上二叠统上、下石盒子组则以海陆交互相陆源碎屑沉积为主，三角洲及三角洲平原沼泽十分发育；沉积环境具有自下而上，自南东向北西方向由海相逐步过渡为陆相的基本特点。其煤成气源岩沉积环境以早二叠世山西期潮坪、泻湖过渡带之滨岸沼泽环境为最佳，其次为中二叠世下石盒子期三角洲平原沉积之平原沼泽环境。     

A Parallel Deadlock Detection Algorithm with O(1) Overall Run-time Complexity

This article proposes a novel parallel, hardware-oriented deadlock detection algorithm for multiprocessor system-on-chips. The proposed algorithm takes full advantage of hardware parallelism in computation and maintains information needed by deadlock detection through classifying all resource allocation events and performing class specific operations, which together make the overall run-time complexity of the new method O(1). We implement the proposed algorithm in Verilog HDL and demonstrate in the simulation that each algorithm invocation takes at most four clock cycles in hardware.     

Hydrothermal Synthesis of Magnesium Aluminate Platelets

Magnesium aluminate (MgAl₂O₄) platelets were first synthesized by hydrothermal treatment of γ-AlO(OH) in a magnesium nitrate aqueous solution at 400°C. The platelets are 100–200 nm in width and 25 nm in thickness. The influence of temperature, the anions of the magnesium salt, the amount of magnesium salt, and precursor pH on the formation of such structure was investigated. The experimental results indicated that the anions of the magnesium salt and precursor pH could have a significant influence on the growth of MgAl₂O₄. MgAl₂O₄ formation followed the in situ transformation mechanism, which was the reason why the MgAl₂O₄ crystallites had a platelet morphology.
