The characteristic coordination behavior of Schiff bases synthesized from carbonyl been investigated and studied in different field, such as their chemistry and biological activity and primary amine compounds have Few numbers of Schiff bases were implicated in analytical aspect such as metal uptake techniques. The Schiff base and may its chelates derived from p-nitrobenzaldehyde and 1,8-naphthalenediamine were synthesized and characterized by different analytical tools. The chemical structures have been elucidated by physiochemical methods. The site of the coordination with metal ion gave this Schiff base the advantage to be used in uptake techniques, either as batch or column. The uptake studies preformed and analyzed with respect to justification of the site of coordination.  相似文献

This paper presents an approach to reliability prediction and estimation of PROLOG programs, and introduces 2 complexity measures for PROLOG programs. The structural complexity measure refers to the program's static characteristics: size and number of clauses; clause arguments (number and types); and clause types (facts or rules). The operational complexity measure refers to the program's dynamic characteristics: execution frequency of program components; user behavior; and backtracking and recursion. Values of the two measures are used to: (1) predict PROLOG program reliability before testing and in the early testing stages; and (2) estimate the reliability as a function of time, in order to determine whether the reliability objective is achieved. The feature-oriented reliability determination approach leads to improvements in the accuracy of software reliability predictions and estimations  相似文献

The paper introduces an innovative way of exploiting aerial robotics or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the communication field which adds up a wider angle of applications to the already vast use of this new technology. Since IEEE 802 Wi-Fi technology is popular and widely used nowadays (in smartphones, laptops, access points, smart TVs etc.), performance reducing interference caused by having any two or more close-by 2.4 GHz networks on the same channel can occur especially in highly dense populated urban areas. We design an aerial robot (UAV) with a powerful Wi-Fi receiver along with high gain antennas and some other equipment enabling it to operate as a so called Passive sniffer, listening to all Wi-Fi traffic in range and extracting network information along with GPS coordinates and illustrate the results on Geographical maps using Wi-Fi Triangulation Techniques. Having such capabilities on an autonomous aerial robot enables geographical packet analysis and the observation of widespread traffic, plus the ability to analyse and graph the areas with coverage and locate the highly crowded areas with higher interference. Therefore finding solutions to mitigate this undesirable performance degrading interference.  相似文献

Chaperonins GroEL and GroES form two types of hetero-oligomers in vitro that can mediate the folding of proteins. Chemical cross-linking and electron microscopy showed that in the presence of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), two GroES7 rings can successively bind a single GroEL14 core oligomer. The symmetric GroEL14(GroES7)2 chaperonin, whose central cavity appears obstructed by two GroES7 rings, can nonetheless stably bind and assist the ATP-dependent refolding of RuBisCO enzyme. Thus, unfolded proteins first bind and possibly fold on the external envelope of the chaperonin hetero-oligomer.  相似文献

Most of our knowledge regarding the process of protein import into mitochondria has come from research employing Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model system. Recently, several mammalian homologues of the mitochondrial motor proteins were identified. Of particular interest for us is the human Tim14/Pam18-Tim16/Pam16 complex. We chose a structural approach in order to examine the evolutionary conservation between yeast Tim14/Pam18-Tim16/Pam16 proteins and their human homologues. For this purpose, we examined the structural properties of the purified human proteins and their interaction with their yeast homologues, in vitro. Our results show that the soluble domains of the human Tim14/Pam18 and Tim16/Pam16 proteins interact with their yeast counterparts, forming heterodimeric complexes and that these complexes interact with yeast mtHsp70.  相似文献

Little is known about the genetic contribution to cigarette smoking and nicotine addiction in Egypt. The dopamine D2 receptor gene contains a TaqI repeat fragment length polymorphism creating two alleles with functional significance, DRD2*A1 and DRD2*A2. We investigated the relationship between these alleles and tobacco use in a study of 389 Egyptian male current smokers (mean age = 40 years; SD = 12). Participants were interviewed in 2004 on their smoking behaviors and quit attempts, and were given the Fagerstr?m Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND). Blood samples were obtained and genotyped for DRD2 A1and A2 alleles. The frequencies of A1/A2, A1/A2, and A2/A2 genotypes were 6%, 29%, and 65%, respectively. We found no statistically significant association between genotype and age at onset of smoking, years of smoking, FTND score, or average number of cigarettes smoked per day. DRD2 genotype was associated with the number of cigarettes smoked in the past 48 hr (42.2 in A1 carriers vs. 37.6 in A2, p = .03), the previous quit duration (28% in A1 vs. 40% in A2 quit for more than 1 month, p = .05), and the depth of inhalation (82% in A1 vs. 72% in A2 inhaled the smoke deeply, p = .03). Logistic regression analysis including DRD2 genotype, FTND score, age at smoking initiation, marital status, and education as predictors showed that maximum duration of quit time was associated with FTND score (p = .003), DRD2 genotype (p = .01), marital status (p = .03), and age at smoking initiation (p = .04). These findings suggest a modest association between DRD2 genotype and quitting behavior in male cigarette smokers in Egypt.  相似文献
