Variation of ultrasonic attenuation and velocities with temperature have been evaluated in the temperature range 5-50 K due to electron-phonon interaction mechanism in transition metals vanadium, niobium and tantalum for longitudinal and shear waves. For this evaluation, we have also computed the second order elastic constants using Morse potential. Behaviour of acoustical phonons in these bcc metals is different from other normal metals, intermetallics, semimetallics and alloys. Some characteristic features of these materials connected to ultrasonic parameters are discussed.  相似文献

A method is described for construction of an amperometric biosensor for specific determination of tyramine, using black gram tyramine oxidase immobilized covalently on an epoxy resin membrane. The biosensor had optimum response within 10 s at pH 8.5 and 35 °C. A linear relationship was observed between tyramine concentrations and current (mA) in the range of 0.24 to 3.47 mg/dL. The biosensor was employed for determination of tyramine in beer and sauce. The detection limit of sensor was 0.24 mg/dL. The mean analytical recovery of added tyramine (0.5 and 1.0 mg/dL) was 97.3 ± 2.3 and 95.9 ± 3.4%. Within and between batch coefficient of variation were 5.1 and 5.34%, respectively. Enzyme electrode showed 35% loss in its initial activity after its regular use over a period of 2 months. The biosensor has the advantage that it does not suffer from leaching of enzyme and measures tyramine specifically.  相似文献

The inhibition effect of two synthesized isatin compounds namely 1-morpholinomethyl-3-(1-N-dithiooxamide)iminoisatin [MMTOI] and 1-diphenylaminomethyl-3-(1-N-dithiooxamide)iminoisatin [PAMTOI] on the corrosion inhibition of N80 steel in 15% HCl solution was studied by polarization, EIS and weight loss measurements. It was found that both the inhibitors were effective and their inhibition efficiency was significantly increased with increasing concentration. Polarization curves revealed that the used inhibitors represent mixed-type inhibitors. Adsorption of these inhibitors led to a reduction in the double layer capacitance and an increase in the charge transfer resistance, and was found also to obey Langmuir isotherm.  相似文献

Groundwater pollution with organic contaminants remains a world-wide problem. Before selection of any remediation technique, it is important to pre-assess contaminated sites with respect to their hazard. For this, several analytical and numerical approaches have been used and an initial assessment of contaminated sites the MS-Excel© tool “NAFLA” was developed. “NAFLA” allows a quick and straightforward calculation and comparison of some analytical approaches for the estimation of maximum plume length under steady-state conditions. These approaches differ from each other in source geometry, model domain orientation, and in the consideration of (bio)chemical reaction within the domain. In this communication, we provide details about the development of “NAFLA”, its possible usage and information for users. The tool is especially designed for application in student education, by authorities and consultants.  相似文献

In the Frequency Division Duplex (FDD) mode of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standard, implementation of the turbo decoder, especially for the mobile equipments, faces design decisions related to computational complexity, power efficiency, and memory requirements. In this paper we compare different approaches of low complexity implementation of the turbo decoder, with emphasis on the issues of signal scaling and quantization, the sliding window operation for memory size reduction and the iteration stopping algorithms. The demodulated signal at the output of the RAKE receiver may have a wide dynamic range and it may require many bits of precision. In order to overcome the numerical precision problem and to prevent Log Likelihood ratio (LLR) metric overflow, a scaling algorithm must be used. Our simulation results indicate that the Average Absolute (AA) algorithm using dynamic scaling outperforms other scaling schemes and it is less sensitive to the channel conditions. One of the major challenges in the implementation of a practical turbo decoder is optimization of memory requirements. In this paper we evaluate the performance of the sliding window algorithm using different main and guard window sizes. We show that the bit and block error rate performance of the sliding window scheme mainly depend on the guard window size rather than the main window size. The simulation results indicate that small guard window sizes can significantly decrease the iteration gain for large frames in fast fading channels. Iteration stopping algorithms reduce the power consumption and the latency of the decoder and help to dedicate more resources to other functions of the receiver. The block error distribution in the fading channels makes it even more essential to use an iteration stopping rule. Our simulations conclude that a rule called the minimum absolute value appears to be a very effective, low complexity and robust algorithm. We report the formation and characterization of copper nanostructures, nanotubules and nanothreads, which were obtained by electrical arc evaporation of Cu electrodes under varied conditions of He ambience. Electrical arc evaporation was done with approximately 10 V and (approximately 50-100 A) DC current. The current was used in a pulse mode. The evaporated material was condensed on a formvar-coated Cu grid mounted on a liquid N2-cooled specimen holder. Transmission electron microscopy was employed to characterize the condensed materials. These investigations revealed that the condensed materials consisted of the mentioned nanostructures. Nanotubes and nanothreads are formed for a He pressure in the chamber corresponding to approximately 140 and approximately 500 torr, respectively. Extensive electron microscopic investigations showed that the diameter of the nanotubes varied from approximately 5 nm to approximately 50 nm and their length from 2 microns to 3 microns.  相似文献

We characterize the climatological features of the double inter-tropical convergence zones (DITCZs) over the western Indian Ocean during November–December by a synergistic analysis of the Hamburg Ocean Atmosphere Parameters and Fluxes from Satellite (HOAPS III) data (1988–2005) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA's) A-Train data (2002–2009). We investigate rainfall, freshwater flux and cloud liquid water, cloud fraction and relative humidity over the DITCZs. In addition, the daily rainfall data from the Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP) are used to document the DITCZs during the El Niño southern oscillation (ENSO) events. An analysis of the GPCP data shows that the DITCZs are clearly discernible during strong ENSO events (1997, 2002 and 2006), in sharp contrast to the DITCZs in the eastern Pacific Ocean, where they are absent during ENSOs. Further, these convergence zones on either side of the equator are of short duration, approximately 3–6 pentads during November and December. All satellite sensor data sets consistently capture the major features of DITCZs. As an accurate simulation of DITCZs in coupled global climate models remains a challenge, the results from the present study would provide a platform for evaluating these models.  相似文献

Toxic organic pollutants in the aquatic environment cause severe threats to both humans and the global environment. Thus, the development of robust strategies for detection and removal of these organic pollutants is essential. For this purpose, a multifunctional and recyclable membrane by intercalating gold nanoparticles and graphitic carbon nitride into graphene oxide (GNPs/g‐C3N4/GO) is fabricated. The membranes exhibit not only superior surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) activity attributed to high preconcentration ability to analytes through π–π and electrostatic interactions, but also excellent catalytic activity due to the enhanced electron–hole separation efficiency. These outstanding properties allow the membrane to be used for highly sensitive detection of rhodamine 6G with a limit of detection of 5.0 × 10?14m and self‐cleaning by photocatalytic degradation of the adsorbed analytes into inorganic small molecules, thus achieving recyclable SERS application. Furthermore, the excellent SERS activity of the membrane is demonstrated by detection of 4‐chlorophenol at less than nanomolar level and no significant SERS or catalytic activity loss was observed when reusability is tested. These results suggest that the GNPs/g‐C3N4/GO membrane provides a new strategy for eliminating traditional, single‐use SERS substrates, and expands practical SERS application to simultaneous detection and removal of environmental pollutants.  相似文献
