A microscopic theory of interplay between superconductivity and antiferromagnetism in rare-earth nickel boride, HoNi2B2C is developed from first principles. Self-consistent equations for the superconducting order parameter Δ and magnetic order parameter Γ are derived using a Green’s function technique and an equation of motion method. The theory is applied to explain the experimental results in the antiferromagnetic superconductor HoNi2B2C. The present model explains the true coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetism in this system. The behavior of the superconducting order parameter (Δ), the magnetic order parameter (Γ), the specific heat, the density of states, the free energy and critical field (H c) is also studied for the system HoNi2B2C. Distinct features of the coexistence region are discussed. There is the convincing evidence that the theory is fully compatible with the key experiments. 相似文献

In this work, an attempt has been made to synthesize well-distributed stable selenium (Se) particles of nanosize dimensions via an aqueous micellar solution by the assistance of surfactants of two different polarities (anionic, sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and cationic, hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)). The morphology of the particles was examined with transmission electron microscopy (TEM). X-ray analysis reveals that the particles have a monoclinic structure. The band gap of the particles was determined from UV-visible optical spectroscopic results. The size variation was estimated by employing a quantum confinement effect equation. The evolution of the selenium nanoparticles in AOT and CTAB micellar media was corroborated with the time-dependent absorption spectra. The influence of hydrazine hydrate concentrations on the formation kinetics of Se nanoparticles was also investigated. The capping ability of the surfactants has been quantitatively evaluated from Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) studies. 相似文献

Persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) is a major advancement in radar interferometry for detecting and monitoring land deformation. PSI is the most advanced class of differential interferometric synthetic aperture radar (DInSAR) techniques. The technique conquers the main drawbacks of the conventional DInSAR technique by identifying radar targets having stable backscattering characteristics in time. These targets are termed as persistent scatterers (PSs). The higher the number of PSs for a study area the higher the accuracy of the results will be, which is most common for deformation analysis in urban areas. However, for non-urban or highly de-correlated areas, PSs density collapses significantly, which needs to increase for optimal results. For this purpose, partially coherent/distributed scatterers (DSs) are being exploited in addition to the PSs. The field surface of this study is one of the copper-rich mining belts in India, which consists of two major underground metal mines. Scatterer characterziation of the field surface under study suggests that most of the scatterers are DSs and very few scatterers under the influence of the mining zone are PSs. In addition to this, a preliminary investigation of deformation characteristics of the field surface under study reveals that the spatial extent of deformation is small/localized along with slow and non-linear deformation. Keeping in view scatterer and deformation characteristics of the field surface under study, in this research paper, a Quasi-Persistent Scatterer based PSI approach has been applied using high-resolution TerraSAR-X interferometric data stack (10 images) to generate deformation time series and deformation velocity. Furthermore, results obtained from the applied PSI approach and ground-based observations (using GNSS) have shown good agreement with each other, in the order of ?5.20?mm/year (LOS) and ?5.38?mm/year (subsiding), respectively. 相似文献

The paper presents synthesis of Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 (BST), BaZr0.3Ti0.7O3 (BZT) and SrTiO3 (ST) thin films and their heterostructures using modified Pechini method. The La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 has been used as a conducting bottom layer to form metal ferroelectric metal capacitor. The thin films are spin coated on SiO2/n-Si(100) substrates. The thin films thus deposited are characterized for crystal structure, morphology, dielectric, complex impedance and admittance properties. Deposition of surface layer ST is observed to reduce loss tangent tan δ of BST and BZT thin films, still maintaining equivalent magnitude of figure of merit γ. In this work, the authors report a facile low‐temperature wet‐chemical route to prepare morphology‐tailored hierarchical structures (HS) of copper oxide. The preparation of copper oxide collides was carried out using varying concentrations of copper acetate and a reducing agent at a constant temperature of 50°C. The prepared HS of CuO were characterised by powdered X‐rays diffraction that indicates phase pure having monoclinic structures. The morphology was further confirmed by field‐emission scanning electron microscope. It reveals a difference in shape and size of copper oxide HS by changing the concentration of reactants. In order to evaluate the effect of H2 O2 on CuO NPs, the prepared CuO are modified by treatment with H2 O2. In general trend, CuOH2 O2 collide showed enhanced protein kinase inhibition, antibacterial (maximum zone 16.34 mm against Staphylococcus aureus) and antifungal activities in comparison to unmodified CuO collides. This paper describes the development of a Wii remote (Wiimote)–based low-cost motion capture system and demonstrates its application for automated assembly simulation. Multiple Wiimotes are used to form a vision system to perform motion capture in 3D space. A hybrid algorithm for calibrating a multi-camera stereo vision system has been developed based on Zhang’s and Svoboda’s calibration algorithms. This hybrid algorithm has been evaluated and shown accuracy improvement over Svoboda’s algorithm for motion capture with multiple cameras. The captured motion data are used to automatically generate an assembly simulation of objects represented by CAD models in real time. The Wiimote-based motion capture system is practically attractive because it is inexpensive, wireless, and easily portable. Application examples have been developed for a single vision system with two Wiimotes to track the assembly of a microsatellite prototype frame and for an integrated vision system with four Wiimotes to track the assembly of a bookshelf. 相似文献

In this article, a wideband circularly polarized rectangular dielectric resonator antenna (RDRA) coupled through orthogonal slots and excited with a new microstrip circular ring has been investigated. Circular polarization has been achieved by using plus shaped (+) slot on the ground plane and excited through a new microstrip circular ring feed. TE11δ mode has been excited in the RDRA which has been confirmed through the distribution of E ‐field and dielectric waveguide model (DWM) method of RDRA. Circularly polarized (CP) RDRA offering measured ?10 dB input impedance bandwidth of 20.79% (centered at 3.27 GHz) and 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth in broadside direction of 12.09% (centered at 3.39 GHz), respectively. From the CP radiation pattern, proposed design confirms that right ‐ handed CP (RHCP) in broadside direction. The difference between RHCP field and left ‐ handed CP (LHCP) field are above ?26 dB in operational band. In addition, the proposed CP antenna offers stable gain and radiation efficiency in working bands and it is suitable for IEEE 802.16e/d Wi‐MAX (3.3‐3.7 GHz) band. 相似文献

A generalized mapping strategy that uses a combination of graph theory, mathematical programming, and heuristics is proposed. The authors use the knowledge from the given algorithm and the architecture to guide the mapping. The approach begins with a graphical representation of the parallel algorithm (problem graph) and the parallel computer (host graph). Using these representations, the authors generate a new graphical representation (extended host graph) on which the problem graph is mapped. An accurate characterization of the communication overhead is used in the objective functions to evaluate the optimality of the mapping. An efficient mapping scheme is developed which uses two levels of optimization procedures. The objective functions include minimizing the communication overhead and minimizing the total execution time which includes both computation and communication times. Studies were made on the longitudinal ultrasonic velocity and its attenuation characteristics in medium carbon steel forging subjected to 0–60% hot upsetting followed by heat treatment. The fineness of ferrite and pearlite increased with increasing deformation and cooling rate during heat treatment. The area fraction of pearlite increased from 21% to 45% as well as the mean interlamellar spacing in pearlite decreased from 8.79 μm to 0.689 μm in the 40% deformed (upsetted) normalized sample It was observed that the ultrasonic velocity decreased with increasing degree of deformation. The velocity was found to be highest in the normalized steel acquiring a value of 5920 m/s and lowest in hardened steel acquiring a value of 4979 m/s. The attenuation decreased with increasing deformation resulting in increased back wall echo heights. The residual stresses on the surface of typical 60% deformed and annealed steel samples using x-ray diffractometry were measured to be — 39.7 MPa (compressive) and — 188.0 MPa (compressive) respectively. 相似文献
