It has been well recognized that dietary proteins provide a rich source of biologically active peptides. Today, milk proteins are considered the most important source of bioactive peptides and an increasing number of bioactive peptides have been identified in milk protein hydrolysates and fermented dairy products. Bioactive peptides derived from milk proteins offer a promising approach for the promotion of health by means of a tailored diet and provide interesting opportunities to the dairy industry for expansion of its field of operation. The potential health benefits of milk protein-derived peptides have been a subject of growing commercial interest in the context of health-promoting functional foods. Hence, these peptides are being incorporated in the form of ingredients in functional and novel foods, dietary supplements and even pharmaceuticals with the purpose of delivering specific health benefits.  相似文献

Silver(Ag)plasma has been generated by employing Nd∶YAG laser(532 nm,6 ns)laser irradiation.The energy and flux of ions have been evaluated by using Faraday cup(FC)using time of flight(TOF)measurements.The dual peak signals of fast and slow Ag plasma ions have been identified.Both energy and flux of fast and slow ions tend to increase with increasing irradiance from 7 GW cm-2 to 17.9 GW cm-2 at all distances of FC from the target surface.Similarly a decreasing trend of energies and flux of ions has been observed with increasing distance of FC from the target.The maximum value of flux of the fast component is 21.2×1010cm-2,whereas for slow ions the maximum energy and flux values are 8.8 keV,8.2×1012 cm-2 respectively.For the analysis of plume expansion dynamics,the angular distribution of ion flux measurement has also been performed.The overall analysis of both spatial and angular distributions of Ag ions revealed that the maximum flux of Ag plasma ions has been observed at an optimal angle of~15°.In order to confirm the ion acceleration by ambipolar field,the self-generated electric field(SGEF)measurements have also been performed by electric probe;these SGEF measurements tend to increase by increasing laser irradiance.The maximum value of 232 V m-1 has been obtained at a maximum laser irradiance of 17.9 GW cm-2.  相似文献

The gum obtained from unripe fruits of Aegle marmelos was co-processed with chitosan to improve the film forming property of the former. The results of FTIR and differential thermal analysis of films revealed maximum interaction between –COO groups of gum and –NH3+ of chitosan when they were present in equal proportion in the film. These films exhibited almost negligible zeta potential and the surface remained smooth after exposure to both acidic and alkaline pH as observed under scanning electron microscope. The contact angle and swelling index of this film in both acidic and alkaline buffers were observed to be lowest as compared to other films prepared with different ratios of gum and chitosan. The work of adhesion and spreading coefficient for this film was observed to be lowest. These results could be attributed to optimum interaction between –COO groups of gum and –NH3+ groups of chitosan. These results indicated the ability of this film for use in modifying drug release and processed food items.  相似文献

Reproductive aging is characterized by a decline in ovarian function and in oocytes’ quantity and quality. Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF), a pivotal player in ovarian angiogenic and oxidative balance, was evaluated for its involvement in reproductive aging. Our work examines the initial stage of reproductive aging in women and mice, and the involvement of PEDF in the process. Granulosa cells from reproductively-aged (RA) women and mice (36–44 years old and 9–10 months old, respectively) indicated an increase in the level of PEDF mRNA (qPCR), with yet unchanged levels of AMH and FSHR mRNAs. However, the PEDF protein level in individual women showed an intra-cellular decrease (ELISA), along with a decrease in the corresponding follicular fluid, which reflects the secreted fraction of the protein. The in vitro maturation (IVM) rate in the oocytes of RA mice was lower compared with the oocytes of young mice, demonstrated by a reduced polar body extrusion (PBE) rate. The supplementation of PEDF improved the hampered PBE rate, manifested by a higher number of energetically-competent oocytes (ATP concentration and mtDNA copy number of individual oocytes). Our findings propose PEDF as an early marker of reproductive aging, and a possible therapeutic in vitro agent that could enhance the number of good-quality oocytes in older IVF patients.  相似文献

Nanocellulose (NC), due to its sustainable nature, high aspect ratio, superior mechanical strength, and availability of functionalizable  OH groups, has been widely utilized as reinforcement in numerous fluids/plastics. The physico-chemical properties of NC, like surface characteristics, dimensions/aspect ratio and their concentration, significantly impact the interparticle interactions, such as the extent of hydrogen bonding, van der Waal forces, hydrophobicity, electrostatic attraction/repulsion, and cellulose entanglement, and have been found to play a critical role in regulating the overall rheological characteristics of fluids. The functionalized NC aqueous suspension exhibited unique shear thinning properties, thixotropic behavior, and quick steady-state viscosity recovery and viscoelastic properties. However, upon adding functionalized NC to other fluids, a different impact was noticed. For instance, it improved the viscosity, G′ and mechanical stability of bio-ink; the setting time and mechanical strength of cementitious fluids; increased the filtration performance and provided a unique thermo-thickening impact in case of water-based drilling-fluid; enhanced viscosity with time and heat in case of oil recovery, and so forth. Keeping in view the notable dependence of the rheology of fluids on NC additives, in the present review article, the impact of various physico-chemical properties of NC additives on the rheological behavior of NC aqueous suspension and its utility as a rheology modifier in multiple advanced fields has been explored. This review article, compared to previous studies, warrants an update on the impact of recent NC surface functionalization/blending techniques employed and NC aspect ratio on specific properties of multiple advanced fluids.  相似文献

In the artificial intelligence-driven modern wireless communication system, antennas are required to be reconfigurable in terms of size according to changing application scenarios. However, conventional antennas with constant phase distributions cannot achieve enhanced gains in different reconfigurable sizes. In this paper, we propose a mechanically reconfigurable radiation array (RRA) based on miniaturized elements and a mechanically reconfigurable system to obtain gain-enhanced antennas in compact and deployed states. A five-element RRA with a phase-reconfigurable center element is designed and analyzed theoretically. The experimental sample has been fabricated, driven by a deployable frame with only one degree of freedom to realize the size and phase distribution reconfiguration simultaneously to validate the enhanced gains of RRA. The proposed RRA can be tessellated into larger arrays to achieve higher gains in other frequency regimes, such as terahertz or photonics applications with nanometer fabrication technology.  相似文献

There are many cloud data security techniques and algorithms available that can be used to detect attacks on cloud data, but these techniques and algorithms cannot be used to protect data from an attacker. Cloud cryptography is the best way to transmit data in a secure and reliable format. Various researchers have developed various mechanisms to transfer data securely, which can convert data from readable to unreadable, but these algorithms are not sufficient to provide complete data security. Each algorithm has some data security issues. If some effective data protection techniques are used, the attacker will not be able to decipher the encrypted data, and even if the attacker tries to tamper with the data, the attacker will not have access to the original data. In this paper, various data security techniques are developed, which can be used to protect the data from attackers completely. First, a customized American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) table is developed. The value of each Index is defined in a customized ASCII table. When an attacker tries to decrypt the data, the attacker always tries to apply the predefined ASCII table on the Ciphertext, which in a way, can be helpful for the attacker to decrypt the data. After that, a radix 64-bit encryption mechanism is used, with the help of which the number of cipher data is doubled from the original data. When the number of cipher values is double the original data, the attacker tries to decrypt each value. Instead of getting the original data, the attacker gets such data that has no relation to the original data. After that, a Hill Matrix algorithm is created, with the help of which a key is generated that is used in the exact plain text for which it is created, and this Key cannot be used in any other plain text. The boundaries of each Hill text work up to that text. The techniques used in this paper are compared with those used in various papers and discussed that how far the current algorithm is better than all other algorithms. Then, the Kasiski test is used to verify the validity of the proposed algorithm and found that, if the proposed algorithm is used for data encryption, so an attacker cannot break the proposed algorithm security using any technique or algorithm.  相似文献

Hierarchical micro/nanostructures are constructed by micro-scaled objects with nanoarchitectures belonging to an interesting class of crystalline materials that has significant applications in diverse fields. Featured with a large surface-to-volume ratio, facile mass transportation, high stability against aggregation, structurally enhanced adsorption, and catalytical performances, three dimenisional (3D) hierarchical metal oxides have been considered as versatile functional materials for waste-water treatment. Due to the ineffectiveness of traditional water purification protocols for reclamation of water, lately, the use of hierarchical metal oxides has emerged as an appealing platform for the remediation of water pollution owing to their fascinating and tailorable physiochemical properties. The present review highlights various approaches to the tunable synthesis of hierarchical structures along with their surface modification strategies to enhance their efficiencies for the removal of different noxious substances. Besides, their applications for the eradication of organic and inorganic contaminants have been discussed comprehensively with their plausible mechanistic pathways. Finally, overlooked aspects in this field as well as the major roadblocks to the implementation of these metal oxide architectures for large-scale treatment of wastewater are provided here. Moreover, the potential ways to tackle these issues are also presented which may be useful for the transformation of current water treatment technologies.  相似文献
