Myocardial infarction is one of the major causes of mortality worldwide and is a main cause of heart failure. This disease appears as a final point of atherosclerotic plaque progression, destabilization, and rupture. As a consequence of cardiomyocytes death during the infarction, the heart undergoes unfavorable cardiac remodeling, which results in its failure. Therefore, therapies aimed to limit the processes of atherosclerotic plaque progression, cardiac damage during the infarction, and subsequent remodeling are urgently warranted. A hopeful therapeutic option for the future medicine is targeting and regulating non-coding RNA (ncRNA), like microRNA, circular RNA (circRNA), or long non-coding RNA (lncRNA). In this review, the approaches targeted at ncRNAs participating in the aforementioned pathophysiological processes involved in myocardial infarction and their outcomes in preclinical studies have been concisely presented.  相似文献

We report on the improvement of critical dimension (CD) linearity on a photomask by applying the concept of process proximity correction to a laser lithographic process used for the fabrication of photomasks. Rule‐based laser process proximity correction (LPC) was performed using an automated optical proximity correction tool and we obtained dramatic improvement of CD linearity on a photomask. A study on model‐based LPC was executed using a two‐Gaussian kernel function and we extracted model parameters for the laser lithographic process by fitting the model‐predicted CD linearity data with measured ones. Model‐predicted bias values of isolated space (I/S), arrayed contact (A/C) and isolated contact (I/C) were in good agreement with those obtained by the nonlinear curve‐fitting method used for the rule‐based LPC.  相似文献

In this work we present mechanism of the base-catalyzed 2-azaallylic rearrangement in homogeneous media. Detailed 2-azaallylic rearrangement studies have shown that tautomerism of derivatives of benzylidenebenzhydrylamines and N-fluorenylidenebenzylamines is not adequately encomposed by the Hammet equation and the equilibrium constant in the case of studied derivatives depends on the electronic as well as steric factors of the azaallylic system substituents. The presence of steric interactions which influence the equilibrium state has been additionally confirmed by means of crystallographic and molecular mechanics data as well as NOE studies. The study was focused on the phytochemicals‐mediated biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using leaf extracts and infusions from Cynara scolymus. To identify the antioxidant activity and total phenolic content, the 1,1‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl and Folin–Ciocalteau methods were applied, respectively. The formation and stability of the reduced silver ions were monitored by UV–vis spectrophotometer. The particle sizes of the silver nanoparticles were characterised using the dynamic light scattering technique and scanning electron microscope. The phase composition of the obtained silver nanoparticles was characterised by X‐ray diffraction. The silver nanoparticles suspension, artichoke infusion, and silver ions were separately tested towards potential cytotoxicity and pro‐inflammatory effect using mouse fibroblasts and human monocytes cell line, respectively. The total phenolic content and antioxidant activity of ethanol extract and infusion were found significantly higher as compared to aqueous extract and infusion. The UV–visible spectrophotometric analysis revealed the presence of the characteristic absorption band of the Ag nanoparticles. Moreover, it was found that with the increasing volume of plant extract, the average size of particles was increased. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common form of neurodegenerative dementia. Metabolic disorders including obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) may stimulate amyloid β (Aβ) aggregate formation. AD, obesity, and T2DM share similar features such as chronic inflammation, increased oxidative stress, insulin resistance, and impaired energy metabolism. Adiposity is associated with the pro-inflammatory phenotype. Adiposity-related inflammatory factors lead to the formation of inflammasome complexes, which are responsible for the activation, maturation, and release of the pro-inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and interleukin-18 (IL-18). Activation of the inflammasome complex, particularly NLRP3, has a crucial role in obesity-induced inflammation, insulin resistance, and T2DM. The abnormal activation of the NLRP3 signaling pathway influences neuroinflammatory processes. NLRP3/IL-1β signaling could underlie the association between adiposity and cognitive impairment in humans. The review includes a broadened approach to the role of obesity-related diseases (obesity, low-grade chronic inflammation, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, and enhanced NLRP3 activity) in AD. Moreover, we also discuss the mechanisms by which the NLRP3 activation potentially links inflammation, peripheral and central insulin resistance, and metabolic changes with AD.  相似文献

Effects of blanching, boiling and freezing of selected cruciferous vegetables (Brussels sprouts, white and green cauliflower, broccoli, and curly cale) on their glucosinolate (GLS) contents were determined. It was found that blanching and cooking of the vegetables led to considerable (P < 0.05) losses of total GLS, from 2.7 to 30.0% and from 35.3 to 72.4%, respectively. No systematic changes in total GLS were found in the vegetables that were blanched and frozen for 48 h. In addition, the highest concentration of cancer-protective compounds, such as aliphatic and indole GLS, were found in Brussels sprouts (sinigrin and glucobrassicin) and in broccoli (glucoraphanin).  相似文献

Electrocatalytic activity towards oxygen reduction of fungal laccase entrapped in poly-o-phenylenediamine (POPDA) matrix on glassy carbon electrodes was studied. Cyclic voltammetry and amperometric responses to dissolved oxygen were investigated in pH range from 2 to 6. POPDA reveals a unique ability to serve as a redox mediator for laccase and immobilizing matrix at the same time. The entrapped enzyme efficiently catalyzes reduction of molecular oxygen without any additional mediators. The electrocatalytic current reaches 0.1 mA/cm−2 per 1 μg of immobilized enzyme on cyclic voltammograms recorded at 1 mV/s in a not stirred electrolyte. Current density values are comparable with those revealed by dissolved laccase (60 μg/ml) mediated by hydroquinone and greatly higher than by the mediator less laccase/glassy carbon system. The potential of oxygen reduction is determined by the polymer redox couple. Consequently, the onset of the oxygen reduction shifts from −0.15 V versus Ag/AgCl in pH 6 to +0.05 V versus Ag/AgCl in pH 2. The laccase-POPDA layers immersed in the deaerated solution show fast amperometric responses to addition of the oxygen containing solution. The observed current values depend linearly on the oxygen concentration. Factors affecting the electrocatalytic activity of the laccase-POPDA system, including the layer thickness and the pH value, are studied. The electrodeposited laccase-POPDA films are characterized by infrared spectra. The results prove that the enzyme secondary structure remains unchanged during the entrapment procedure. POPDA matrix structure consists of the phenazine-type polymer according to infrared spectra.  相似文献

Evaluated the degree of sex-role stereotyping in TV commercials using both a verbal response mode and a content analysis. A total of 120 commercials (60 daytime and 60 primetime), each depicting an adult male–female dyad verbally interacting, were drawn from a larger sample of commercials aired between October 1983 and January 1984 on the major North American networks. Results of the 2 analyses reveal a more sex-stereotyped pattern of male–female differences in daytime than in primetime commercials. It is concluded that sex-role stereotyping still exists in TV commercials and is present at subtle as well as obvious levels of analysis. Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) with Pt/C gas diffusion electrodes and graphite single‐serpentine monopolar plates were constructed based on an aromatic poly(etherimide) with isopropylidene groups (PI)/imidazole (Im) and a popular Nafion‐115 matrix. The electrochemical properties of PEMFCs were tested at 25 and 60°C. The maximum power density of 171 mW/cm2 and the maximum current density of 484 mA/cm2 were detected for Nafion‐115/PI membrane. For both constructed PEMFCs the efficiency at 0.6 V was found about 41%. Immersion of Nafion‐115 in PI or PI/Im increased the thermal stability and mechanical properties of membranes. Thermal, mechanical properties and morphology of membranes were characterized by TGA, and AFM techniques including force spectroscopy.
