The fourth-generation nickel-based single-crystal superalloys, which contain large amounts of refractory metals for strengthening and platinum group metals for topologically close-packed phase prevention, show excellent high-temperature strength. However, these alloying elements seem to decrease high-temperature oxidation resistance. In this study, nickel-based superalloys with various amounts of tantalum, rhenium, and ruthenium were examined in isothermal and cyclic exposures at 1,100°C to investigate the effect on the oxide growth rate and resistance to scale spallation. Ruthenium and rhenium were found to degrade the oxidation resistance by the vaporization of their oxide. Tantalum-rich oxide in the spinel layer acts to stabilize ruthenium and rhenium oxide in the scale. The addition of hafnium and yttrium is effective in improving the oxidation resistance of ruthenium-containing nickel-based superalloys.  相似文献

This paper investigates induced voltage characteristics from an overhead transmission line by applying a method of modeling of induced voltages proposed by the authors. EMTP simulation results obtained by the modeling method agree with analytical results obtained from a well‐known formula. The induced voltages are significantly dependent on the configuration of the overhead line. A horizontal line induces the largest voltage in a gas pipeline, and the voltage induced by a vertical twin‐circuit line is about 20% smaller than that induced by a vertical single‐circuit line. The method is applied to a real pipeline system and the simulation results show reasonable agreement with field test results. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Radiation damages due to 8 MeV electron irradiation in electrical properties of CuInSe2 thin films have been investigated. The n-type CuInSe2 films in which the carrier concentration was about 3×1016 cm−3, were epitaxially grown on a GaAs(0 0 1) substrate by RF diode sputtering. No significant change in the electrical properties was observed under the electron fluence <3×1016 e cm−2. As the electron fluence exceeded 1017 e cm−2, both the carrier concentration and Hall mobility slightly decreased. The carrier removal rate was estimated to be about 0.8 cm−1, which is slightly lower than that of III–V compound materials.  相似文献

Rabbits can be infected with human retroviruses such as human T-cell leukemia virus-1 (HTLV-1) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and provide useful animal models to study retroviral diseases such as adult T-cell leukemia and HIV. Previously we have succeeded in generating monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against rabbit CD4, CD5 and CD11a antigens. To make this animal species more amenable to cellular and molecular studies, we have attempted to extend the panel of mAbs against rabbit CD antigens. Here we report on the generation of three neutralizing mAbs against interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain (IL-2R alpha) (CD25), Kei-alpha 1 (IgG2b), Kei-alpha 2 (IgG2a) and Kei-alpha 3 (IgG1). They specifically recognize the rabbit Mr 55,000 IL-2 binding protein, IL-2R alpha, and completely inhibit both high- and low-affinity IL-2 binding to F648b cells that express IL-2R alpha as well as IL-2R beta. The use of mAb Kei-alpha 1 confirmed that the rabbit IL-2R alpha is not only a low-affinity IL-2R on its own but also an essential component of high-affinity IL-2R as found in other animal species, and that rabbit activated T cells including HTLV-1-transformed cell lines express high levels of the IL-2R alpha. Together with mAbs against various rabbit CD antigens that we reported previously, these neutralizing mAbs to IL-2R alpha will be valuable for studies of human retrovirus infections, such as those induced by HTLV-1 or HIV, in rabbits.  相似文献

Stability of large-scale coal-fired MHD channels is studied by (1) linearized stability analysis, and (2) time-dependent 1-D analysis. The channel length is 15 m with 600 electrode pairs, and the output power ranges from 220.6 MW through 258.7 MW. Linearized stability analyses show that the Faraday channels operated with fixed loading resistance are stable, whereas the two waves of u and u–a (u, a: gas and sound velocity) become unstable in the Faraday channel with fixed loading factor. Two waves of u and u–a are unstable in the diagonal channel with fixed loading current and the u + a wave becomes unstable in the diagonal channel with fixed electrode current. Time-dependent one-dimensional analyses indicate that the Faraday channels with fixed load resistance are smooth without growth of fluctuation. The diagonal channels with fixed electrode current are smooth with no fluctuation, though the linear theory indicates that the u + a wave is unstable. The diagonal channel with fixed load current suffers large disturbance along the latter half of the channel, being consistent with the linearized analysis which indicates that the u - a and u waves are unstable.  相似文献

A continuous Si-Ti-C-O fibre with 12 wt% oxygen content, which is lower than the usual 18 wt% found in the normal fibres, was synthesized by using polytitanocarbosilane which has fewer Si-Si bonds than the usual precursor polymer. The density, tensile strength, tensile modulus and thermal conductivity were found to be 2.37 g cm–3, 3.4±0.3 GPa, 190±10 GPa and 1.40 W m–1 K–1, respectively. Amongst these properties, the tensile modulus was improved by 20 GPa and the thermal conductivity had a higher value in comparison with that of the ordinary Si-Ti-C-O fibre with 18 wt% oxygen content. The Si-Ti-C-O fibre with a 12 wt% oxygen content has a better heat resistance above 1400 °C in an argon atmosphere and 1300 °C in air, than the usual fibre. About 60 and 40% of its tensile strength at room temperature were retained in air at respectively, 1500 and 1600 °C. This improved ceramic fibre is considered to be useful as a reinforcing material for advanced composites such as high-temperature ceramic matrix composites and metal matrix composites.  相似文献

A dc brushless motor is a kind of synchronous motor driven by an inverter and requires sensors to detect the rotor position. As one of the methods, the induced voltages of a brushless motor have been utilized in practice. However, there are some problems in this method, e.g., the motor can obtain insufficient torque due to the low induced voltages in a low-speed range. This paper proposes a new method which controls the inverter angular frequency ω1 by using inherent characteristics wherein the torque current ir is almost proportional to the internal phase angle φ where the primary flux of a synchronous motor is controlled to be constant. If the parameters of a motor are given exactly, the speed regulation is quite small and the transient characteristics with high response and high starting torque are obtained. Furthermore, it is possible to operate a synchronous motor in the field-weakening range. Here, the principle of the control method and the performance characteristics of a dc brushless motor having no position sensors are discussed. The simulation and the experimental results of the tested machine show that the proposed method is very useful for practical applications.  相似文献

This paper reports on studies into the controllability of the regional income disparities arising from multi-regional economic growth. The necessary condition is that no significant band of regional income disparities should result at the end of the planning period. The regional disparities among nine regions in Japan are explored using the interregional input-output technique and regional production functions. Furthermore, some potentially interesting research probes into the controllability of regional income disparities using the reference adaptive control technique are discussed.  相似文献

Murine collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) is known as a T cell-mediated autoimmune disease, although autoantibodies are also suspected to be associated with the onset of the disease. To determine the origin of such T cells in the joints of mice with CIA, their phenotypic properties as well as those of T cells in other immune organs were examined in DBA/1 mice. Since a significant number of mononuclear cells (MNC) was also yielded by the joints of normal DBA/1 mice, the properties of these T cells were examined in parallel. When CIA was induced by an intradermal injection of type II collagen at the base of the tail, the numbers of MNC yielded by the regional lymph nodes and the foot joints were doubled. Interestingly, regardless of the onset of CIA, the joints were always comprised of unique T cell populations, including IL-2(R)alpha- beta+ T cells, gammadelta T cells, CD8alpha+ beta- cells, and CD44+ L-selectin- cells. All these properties coincide with those of extrathymic T cells in liver and intestine. In the case of gammadelta T cells in joints, Vgamma and Vdelta usages were unique and different from those in the other organs. More importantly, Vgamma and Vdelta usages in gammadelta T cells in the joints of normal mice and in those of mice with CIA were essentially the same. Taken together with the expression of recombination-activating gene-1 and -2 mRNAs by MNC in mice with CIA, these findings raise the possibility that the joints have their own resident T cells that are extrathymically generated in situ.  相似文献
