The preparation of photoresponsive polymer nanowires comprising photochromic azobenzene (Azo) and π‐conjugated fluorene (FO) units is reported. Well‐defined and uniform nanowires of the copolymer (PFOAzo) were successfully fabricated by the single particle nanofabrication technique after optimizing the FO:Azo ratio and the development conditions. Azo units in the PFOAzo nanowires underwent reversible transcistrans isomerization upon exposure to ultraviolet or visible light, leading to changes in the radius (between ca. 6 and 8 nm) and morphology (straight or wavy) of the nanowires. The oligo(alkylfluorene) units in the backbone are found to profit the crosslinking efficiency upon high‐energy ion beam irradiation, and more importantly, provide sufficient flexibility to allow reversible photoswitching. This demonstration of the photoluminescence, semiconducting, and mechanical properties of the PFOAzo nanowires is an important advance in the evolution of electro‐mechanical nanomaterials.  相似文献

Carbonaceous materials containing nitrogen (C/N materials) were prepared by a pyrolysis of 2,3,6,7-tetracyano-1,4,5,8-tetraazanaphthalene (CAN). A C/N material prepared by the pyrolysis of CAN at 1070 K (CAN-1070 K) had a C/N atomic ratio of 3.0 and a non-crystalline carbonaceous structure with a BET surface area of 880 m2 g−1. The material CAN-1070 K showed large capacitances of 160–180 F g−1 and 110–120 F cm−3 in case of current density of 10 mA cm−2 (2 A g−1) by using three-electrode cell in 1 M H2SO4 aqueous solution, in comparison with that of activated carbon (160 F g−1 and 55 F cm−3) having BET surface area of 2300 m2 g−1. ESCA study indicated that pyridinic and quarternary nitrogen atoms existed in the C/N materials, which could result in producing a pseudo-capacitance in addition to the electric double layer capacitance. Also introduction of nitrogen into the carbonaceous material could enhance the wettability of material, which might also improve the capacitance.  相似文献

Some problems due to flow-induced vibrations related to closed side branch pipes have been observed in thermal and nuclear power plants. Fluctuating pressure generated in the main pipes was unusually, acoustically excited in closed side branch pipes, and intense vibrations were caused at pipes and components. For example, flow-excited acoustic resonance in closed side branches of stub pipes of safety relief valves caused the failure of steam dryers in the United States Quad City Unit 2 nuclear power plant. Furthermore, there was a possibility that residual air or gas in a closed side branch pipe unexpectedly caused severe vibrations of low frequency in the feed water piping system. We have investigated the root cause and influence of air on severe vibrations. Intense fluctuating pressure was often caused by water hammer due to valve closure and it became larger in the closed side branch pipes. We showed that an additional side branch with an orifice was very effective to suppress the flow-induced acoustic resonance. Design methods of the orifice to attenuate fluctuating pressure generated by water hammer were presented considering Mach number, the pressure loss coefficient of orifice and the intensity of particle velocity. Moreover, suitability of the characteristic curve method was confirmed for evaluation of the attenuation effect of an orifice on fluctuating pressure generated by water hammer. Finally, we considered some flow-induced vibration problems related to closed side branch pipes and their attenuation methods.  相似文献

A new coal‐based reduction and smelting process for production of high quality iron pebbles in a rotary hearth furnace (Hi‐QIP Process) was developed. The reduction, carburization, smelting, and separating mechanism of the Hi‐QIP process were investigated. The experiments were carried out in a graphite heater furnace under rapidly heating up to 1773 K. A mixture of coal and ore produced molten metal and slag, which were held on the coal and did not come into contact with the refractory located under the coal layer. It is confirmed that the reduction of wettability between the iron and slag promotes the separation of them, when the content of FeO slag decreases. High productivity of the process is expected when using iron ore with small particle diameter and low gangue content. Favourable operating results were obtained in a pilot test using a rotary hearth furnace with a diameter of 7 m and a width of 1.5 m. This test demonstrated the possibility of continuous production of iron pebbles with high productivity (15t‐iron/d).  相似文献

An application of contra-rotating rotors has been proposed against a demand for developing higher specificspeed axial flow pump.In the present paper,the advantage and disadvantage of using contra-rotating rotorsare described in comparison with conventional type of rotor-stator,based on theoretical and experimentalinvestigations.The advantages are as follows:(1)The pump is inherently designed as smaller sized and atlower rotational speed.(2)A stable head-characteristic curve for flow rate with negative slope appears.(3)As the rear rotor rotational speed is varied as independent control of front rotor,the wider range of highperformance operation is obtained by rear rotor speed control in addition to front rotor speed control.Thedisadvantages are as follows:(1)The structure of double shaft system becomes complex.(2)The pumpperformance is inferior at over flow rate as the rear rotor loading is weakened.(3)The blade rows interac-tion from rear rotor to front rotor more strongly appears.Then the rear rotor design is a key to achievehigher pump performance.Some methods to overcome these disadvantages will be discussed in more detailstoward wider usage of contra-rotating axial flow pump in various industrial fields.  相似文献
