An experimental test campaign has been carried out in order to investigate the performances in terms of pure hydrogen production of a multi-membrane module coupled with a methane reforming fixed bed reactor. The effect of operating parameters such as the temperature, the pressure, the water/methane feed flow rates and the feed molar ratio has been studied. The hydrogen produced into the traditional reformer has been recovered in the shell side of the membrane module by vacuum pumping. The membrane module consists of 19 Pd/Ag permeator tubes of wall thickness 150 μm, diameter 10 mm and length 250 mm: these dense permeators permitted to separate ultra-pure hydrogen.The experiments have been carried out with the reaction pressure of 100-490 kPa, the temperature of the reformer of 570-720 °C and the temperature of the Pd/Ag membranes module of 300-400 °C. A water/methane stream of molar ratio of 4/1 and 5/1 has been fed into the methane reformer at GSHV of 1547.6 and 1796.1 L(STP) kg−1 h−1. Hydrogen yield value of about 3 has been measured at reaction pressure of 350 kPa, temperature reformer of 720 °C and methane feed flow rate of 6.445 × 10−4 mol s−1.  相似文献

The polycrystalline silicon material grown by the edge-defined film-fed growth technique, and often used in solar cell production, is known to be carbon and dislocation rich. Aim of this work was to explore the effect of low-temperature annealing in vacuum on properties of these structural defects, often present in different solar-grade materials. Electrical measurements by deep level transient spectroscopy revealed the presence of the defects typically found in dislocated silicon. Detailed analysis further suggested that they are also carbon related, exhibiting quite unexpected behavior at such low-temperature annealing. Moreover, photoluminescence results showed electron-hole droplet condensation at dislocations after such low-temperature annealing. This further supports the hypothesis that point defects are incorporated at dislocation cores rather than in a cloud at its proximity.  相似文献

Flavanols of Camellia sinensis exhibit uric acid (UA) lowering effect, through the modulation of both xanthine oxidase and urate excretion. In order to investigate the potential benefit of Camellia Sinenis products in asymptomatic hyperuricemia, a meta-analysis of long-term Randomized Controlled Trials (RCT) with tea or tea extract has been conducted. From 20 human intervention studies selected only 5 RCT (13 interventions) were suitable for meta-analysis (n = 472). The current “normal” range set for hyperuricemia fails to identify patients with potential metabolic disorders. Therefore on the basis of the literature data, we fixed cut-off limits for UA baseline levels of 4.5 mg/dl for women, 6.1 mg/dl for men, and 5.5 mg/dl for studies involving mixed populations. Statistically significant effects were not found, but subgroup analysis revealed that the Pooled Estimate effect was different in subjects with baseline levels under [MD (95% CI): 0.1078 (?0.0528 to 0.2684)] and over the cut-off [MD (95% CI): ?0.0239 (0.3311 to 0.2833)]. However, due to the low number of RCT and to the lack of data on bioavailability, it is difficult to draw any firm conclusion and more studies are needed to establish if tea flavanols could be useful in asymptomatic hyperuricemia treatment.  相似文献

Twenty-six plasticisers and bisphenol A (BPA) in 39 Sicilian and Calabrian nectar honeys of different botanical south Italian origin were determined by GC-MS. Di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate was the most abundant plasticiser in all samples, reaching up 202.7 ± 153.1 µg kg–1, followed by di-butylphthalate with a concentration of 40.3 ± 9.3 µg kg–1, whereas the concentration of the other phthalates varied from not detectable to 68.2 µg kg–1. Trace levels of adipate, sebacate and BPA were not detected in any samples. Among the different floral origin honeys, di-ethylphthalate levels were above the limit of quantification (LOQ) in orange blossom, wildflower and chestnut honey samples. Among the honeys of different geographical origin, di-methylphthalate, di-butylphthalate and di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate concentrations were similar. Calabrian honeys showed levels of di-ethylphthalate always lower than the LOQ, moreover di-(2-methylpropyl)phthalate levels were lower than the Sicilian ones. On the contrary, in Sicilian honeys di-(2-methylpropyl)phthalate levels were higher and di-ethylphthalate was present in 37% of samples.  相似文献

Knowledge about the orientation of ligands or inhibitors bound to a protein is vital for the development of new drugs. It was recently shown that solvent accessibility epitopes for protein ligands can be mapped by transferring magnetization from water molecules to the ligand to derive the ligand orientation. This is based on the fact that NMR signals of ligands arising from magnetization transferred from solvent molecules via the protein have a different sign from those arising from direct magnetization transfer from bulk water. Herein we critically evaluate the applicability of solvent accessibility mapping to derive binding orientations for ligands of two dehydrogenases (AKR1C3 and HSD17beta1) with very different binding pockets, including complexes in which the ligand is buried more deeply inside the protein. We also evaluate the possibility of using co-solvents, such as DMSO, for magnetization transfer.  相似文献

Cereal (rice, barley, emmer and oat) and soy flours and concentrated red grape must were used for making vegetable yogurt-like beverages (VYLB). Two selected strains of Lactobacillus plantarum were used for lactic acid fermentation, according to a process which included the flour gelatinization. All VLYB had values of pH lower than 4.0 and both selected starters remained viable at ca. 8.4 log cfu/g throughout storage. All VLYB showed high values of apparent viscosity and water holding capacity. During fermentation, lactic acid bacteria consumed glucose, fructose, and malic acid, which was supplied with grape must. Compared to control vegetable yogurt-like beverages (CVYLB), without bacterial inoculum, an increase of total free amino acids (FAA) was found during fermentation and storage. Also the concentration of polyphenolic compounds and ascorbic acid (ASC) was higher in VLYB compared to CVYLB. This was reflected on the antioxidant activity. As determined by Solid Phase Micro-Extraction/Gas-Chromatography/Mass-Spectrometry analysis, several volatile compounds were identified. Beverages made with the mixture of rice and barley or emmer flours seemed to possess the best combination textural, nutritional and sensory properties.  相似文献

The quantification of 3-chloropropane-1,2-diol (3-MCPD) esters in fat-based matrices is currently carried out according to a number of methods that involve either the conversion of all the esters to the free form that is then quantified (indirect methods), or the separation and quantification of the individual esters (direct methods). Indirect methods of analysis show a better sensitivity, however, the series of chemical reactions that take place during sample preparation may affect the reliability of the results because of the potential ex-novo formation of 3-MCPD from precursors present in the sample. This study is focused on the evaluation of the selectivity and robustness of an indirect acid-catalysed method of 3-MCPD esters analysis. The interference of chloride ions and glycidyl esters was evaluated. 3-MCPD esters are overestimated only when high levels of chloride ions (>1.7 mmol/kg oil) were added to the samples. The interference by chloride ions can be easily eliminated by a single extraction step of the samples before analysis. In contrast, glycidyl esters did not interfere with the determination of 3-MCPD esters. Further investigation on the robustness of the method showed that the time allowed for the transesterification, a major drawback of the previous version of the method, can be reduced from 16 to 4 h without any significant reduction of the accuracy and repeatability (RSD = 0.7%).  相似文献

Polyethersulphone/polytetrafluoroethylene (PES/PTFE) nanocomposites and composites were prepared by precipitation of PES into a PTFE latex‐containing nanoparticles. Different samples were obtained by varying the relative ratio between PES and PTFE. The complex crystallization process, discussed within the fractionated crystallization frame, allowed to identify and quantify different dispersion degree of the PTFE nanoparticles within the PES matrix. The different samples were thus divided into nanocomposite and composites. The effect of crystalline PTFE domains on the mobility of PES was investigated and discussed. The dynamic‐mechanical behavior was explained in terms of the particle aggregation state. The mechanical properties of the PES/PTFE composites were found to depend on both the dispersion and the concentration of the PTFE nanoparticles. In the glassy state the stiffness of the materials was found to increase with the dispersion degree, resulting higher for the nanocomposite with respect to composites. On the contrary, in the rubbery state the modulus was found proportional to the PTFE nanoparticles concentration, resulting higher in the composites with respect to the nanocomposite. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Heparin has been conjugated to Fe3O4, Co3O4, and NiO nanoparticles (NPs) through electrostatic interactions, producing colloidal suspensions of hybrid metal oxide heparin NPs that are stable in water. Negative zeta potentials and retention of heparin’s ability to capture toluidine blue indicate that heparin’s negative charges are exposed on the surface of the coated NPs. IR results confirmed the formation of nanohybrids as did NMR experiments, which were also interpreted on the basis of toluidine blue tests. Transmission electron microscopy results revealed that the heparin coating does not modify the shape or dimension of the NPs. Dynamic light scattering and negative zeta potential measurements confirmed that heparin surface functionalisation is an effective strategy to prevent NP aggregation.  相似文献
