Palygorskite–TiO2 nanoparticles are frequently used as nanocatalysts. In the present study, two different nanocatalysts were developed based on the use of different palygorskite–TiO2 ratios: 40–60 and 10–90. The nanocomposites were investigated for the photocatalytic degradation of the common fungicide tebuconazole (TEB), under aquatic conditions. The samples were extensively characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, attenuated total reflectance–Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy and N2 specific surface area (SSA) by Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analytical techniques. The TiO2 nanoparticles were successfully dispersed on the mineral's surfaces and the photocatalytic activity reached 88.4% for the palygorskite–TiO2 ratio of 40:60, where the dispersion was better as proved by the total pore volume and BET parameters (0.49 cm3/g and 258 m2/g compared to 0.33 cm3/g and 220 m2/g of the 10:90 ratio). The photocatalytic efficiency of the proposed materials was significantly higher than Degussa P25 (33.2%), and that makes the palygorskite–TiO2 nanocomposites very promising for advanced application in fungicides' degradation in aquatic environments.  相似文献

In manufacturing enterprises, maintenance is a significant contributor to the total company’s cost. Condition based maintenance (CBM) relies on prognostic models and uses them to support maintenance decisions based on the predicted condition of equipment. Although prognostic-based decision support for CBM is not an extensively explored area, there exist methods which have been developed in order to deal with specific challenges such as the need to cope with real-time information, to predict the health state of equipment and to continuously update maintenance-related recommendations. The current work aims at providing a literature review for prognostic-based decision support methods for CBM. We analyse the literature in order to identify combinations of methods for prognostic-based decision support for CBM, propose a practical technique for selecting suitable combinations of methods and set the guidelines for future research.  相似文献

The complex structure of semantic data still poses a challenge in storing, querying, and organizing Web information. Although researchers have proposed various semantic database system approaches over the years, it seems that most systems have tried to provide industrial-strength scalability too soon. Consequently, most semantic databases still rely on the relational model of storing data and still use SQL-like query languages for data retrieval. Design problems that involve the system reliability as the objective function are discussed. In order to appropriately address the challenges of such applications when complex system models are involved, stochastic simulation is selected to evaluate the probability of failure. An innovative algorithm, called Stochastic Subset Optimization (SSO), is discussed for performing the reliability optimization as well as an efficient sensitivity analysis. The basic principle in SSO is the formulation of an augmented problem where the design variables are artificially considered as uncertain. Stochastic simulation techniques are implemented in order to simulate samples of these variables that lead to system failure. The information that these samples provide is then exploited in an iterative approach in SSO to identify a smaller subset of the design space that consists of near-optimal design variables and also that has high plausibility of containing the optimal design. At the same time, a sensitivity analysis for the influence of both the design variables and the uncertain model parameters is established.  相似文献

The vacancy distribution of oxygen and its dynamics directly affect the functional response of complex oxides and their potential applications. Dynamic control of the oxygen composition may provide the possibility to deterministically tune the physical properties and establish a comprehensive understanding of the structure–property relationship in such systems. Here, an oxygen‐vacancy‐induced topotactic transition from perovskite to brownmillerite and vice versa in epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3MnO3?δ thin films is identified by real‐time X‐ray diffraction. A novel intermediate phase with a noncentered crystal structure is observed for the first time during the topotactic phase conversion which indicates a distinctive transition route. Polarized neutron reflectometry confirms an oxygen‐deficient interfacial layer with drastically reduced nuclear scattering length density, further enabling a quantitative determination of the oxygen stoichiometry (La0.7Sr0.3MnO2.65) for the intermediate state. Associated physical properties of distinct topotactic phases (i.e., ferromagnetic metal and antiferromagnetic insulator) can be reversibly switched by an oxygen desorption/absorption cycling process. Importantly, a significant lowering of necessary conditions (temperatures below 100 °C and conversion time less than 30 min) for the oxygen reloading process is found. These results demonstrate the potential applications of defect engineering in the design of perovskite‐based functional materials.  相似文献
