It is difficult and computationally time-consuming to find the best possible solutions for blank packing problems, because they include a lot of underlying combinational conditions. This paper presents two approaches for packing two-dimensional irregular-shaped polygonal elements—a real-encoded genetic algorithm and a hybrid algorithm using a real-encoded genetic algorithm and a local optimization algorithm. The local optimization algorithm presented is a novel one utilizing the Coulomb potential technique.
In the hybrid approach, the real-encoded genetic algorithm generates the order of the polygons while the coulomb potential algorithm determines the embodiment layout under the fixed combinations so as to minimize the scrap. The hybrid genetic algorithm is found to give better results for problems of larger size although it takes more computational time. 相似文献

Current implementation techniques for functional languages differ considerably from those for logic languages. This complicates the development of flexible and efficient abstract machines that can be used for the compilation of declarative languages combining concepts of functional and logic programming. We propose an abstract machine, called the JUMP-machine, which systematically integrates the operational concepts needed to implement the functional and logic programming paradigm. The use of a tagless representation for heap objects, which originates from the Spineless Tagless G-machine, supports the integration of different concepts. In this paper, we provide a functional logic kernel language and show how to translate it into the abstract machine language of the JUMP-machine. Furthermore, we define the operational semantics of the machine language formally and discuss the mapping of the abstract machine to concrete machine architectures. We tested the approach by writing a compiler for the functional logic language GTML. We present an effective measure of system reliability based on average loss of call capacity that is appropriate for telecommunication hardware. We are led to consider a system consisting of units with many states with appropriately chosen performance effectiveness indices, while all atomic units are binary. In this respect, this effective measure of partial system availability is a variant of customer-centered reliability methodology. We also identify the importance of a new structure called a 'pool' that behaves as a hybrid of series and parallel configurations. We present an algorithm for approximately calculating partial system unavailability, which solves the system decomposition problem for arbitrarily complex highly reliable systems made of hierarchically arranged k-out-of-n sub-structures. The algorithm agrees with our intuition for important special cases and has been programmed into an object oriented software tool. Carbamazepine is a drug commonly used in the treatment of neuropathic pain. It is an iminostilbene derivative that is extensively metabolized by the liver. We describe a 66-year-old man with dysesthetic pain from cervical myelopathy who developed cholestatic hepatitis, skin rash, and eosinophilia after carbamazepine was administered for 5 weeks (total dose of 18.9gm). Withdrawal of carbamazepine led to complete resolution of both clinical and biochemical abnormalities within 3 weeks. Clinicians should be alert to this rare complication because it can be confused clinically with biliary tract sepsis and viral hepatitis. 相似文献

Direct contact condensation of a vapor bubble during subcooled boiling flow scenario has diverse applications in many fields such as thermal, chemical, and nuclear energies. The present work aims at the exploration of the underlying physics of single vapor bubble condensation in subcooled water following the volume of fluid method approach using ANSYS FLUENT 14.5. This work emphasizes on the modeling of the mass transfer rate using interfacial jump conditions for investigating the effect of various parametric conditions on the collapse phenomenon. A comparative study is also performed between the interface jump approach and the models based on the proposed empirical correlations to assess the condensation heat transfer (in terms of the collapse rate and Nusselt number) and bubble shape. The mass transfer model based on the interfacial jump condition is found to be the more realistic among all models for capturing the collapse rate as well as its shape. 相似文献

The aging effect of solar cells made of upgraded metallurgical grade silicon under continued exposure to ultraviolet light has been studied. It has been observed that in 3 years the cell degrades from 6.6% to 4.7% in efficiency mainly because of an increase in reflectivity and a decrease in the shunt resistance.
