In a recent paper [D.Chavan et al., Rev. Sci. Instrum. 81, 123702 (2010)] we have demonstrated that ferrule-top cantilevers, obtained by carving the end of a ferruled fiber, can be used for contact mode atomic force microscopy in ambient conditions. The natural instability of an inverted pendulum and its dynamics richness, in terms of nonlinearity, provide a nice apparatus to reproduce behaviors of analogous systems. In this way, it is useful to perform benchmark tests for new control approaches developed. In this paper, we address the main inverted pendulum problems: pendulum stabilization, tracking, and catching swing-up control. We show how robust recursive, control and filtering, techniques improve the system performance. They are developed to solve stochastic problems based on deterministic approaches, in order to decrease the worst influence of uncertainties. Experimental results of the proposed robust approach provide robust stability and performance despite parametric uncertainties, disturbances, and noise effects. 相似文献

One of the simplest ways to generate electric power from waste heat is thermoelectric (TE) energy conversion. So far, most of the research on thermoelectrics has focused on inorganic bulk TE materials and their device applications. However, high production costs per power output and limited shape conformity hinder applications of state-of-the-art thermoelectric devices (TEDs). In recent years, printed thermoelectrics has emerged as an exciting pathway for their potential in the production of low-cost shape-conformable TEDs. Although several inorganic bulk TE materials with high performance are successfully developed, achieving high performance in inorganic-based printed TE materials is still a challenge. Nevertheless, significant progress has been made in printed thermoelectrics in recent years. In this review article, it is started with an introduction signifying the importance of printed thermoelectrics followed by a discussion of theoretical concepts of thermoelectricity, from fundamental transport phenomena to device efficiency. Afterward, the general process of inorganic TE ink formulation is summarized, and the current development of the inorganic and hybrid inks with the mention of their TE properties and their influencing factors is elaborated. A well-annotated dance media is an essential part of a nation’s identity, transcending cultural and language barriers. Many dance video archives suffer from problems concerning authoring and access, because of the complex spatio-temporal relationships that exist between the dancers in terms of movements of their body parts and the emotions expressed by them in a dance. This paper presents a system named DanVideo for semi-automatic authoring and access to dance archives. DanVideo provides methods of annotation and authoring and retrieval tools for choreographers, dancers, and students. We demonstrate how dance media can be semantically annotated and how this information can be used for the retrieval of the dance video semantics. In particular, DanVideo offers an MPEG-7 based semi-automatic authoring tool that takes dance video annotations generated by dance experts and produces MPEG-7 metadata. DanVideo also has a search engine that takes users’ queries and retrieves dance semantics from metadata arranged using tree-embedding technique and based on spatial, temporal and spatio-temporal features of dancers. The search engine also leverages a domain-specific ontology to process knowledge-based queries. Textual requirements are very common in software projects. However, this format of requirements often keeps relevant concerns (e.g., performance, synchronization, data access, etc.) from the analyst’s view because their semantics are implicit in the text. Thus, analysts must carefully review requirements documents in order to identify key concerns and their effects. Concern mining tools based on NLP techniques can help in this activity. Nonetheless, existing tools cannot always detect all the crosscutting effects of a given concern on different requirements sections, as this detection requires a semantic analysis of the text. In this work, we describe an automated tool called REAssistant that supports the extraction of semantic information from textual use cases in order to reveal latent crosscutting concerns. To enable the analysis of use cases, we apply a tandem of advanced NLP techniques (e.g, dependency parsing, semantic role labeling, and domain actions) built on the UIMA framework, which generates different annotations for the use cases. Then, REAssistant allows analysts to query these annotations via concern-specific rules in order to identify all the effects of a given concern. The REAssistant tool has been evaluated with several case-studies, showing good results when compared to a manual identification of concerns and a third-party tool. Measurements of the -ray anisotropy of recoil-implanted52Mn ions in pure Au down to 3 mK indicate marked deviations from free-ion behavior in low applied fields. The effective hyperfine field that explains the anisotropy is found to decrease below 10 mK. Although this behavior could be a signature of a bound Kondon state with a lower effective hyperfine coupling constant, it is better explained as arising from a combination of Kondo and relaxation effects. The data indicate that the Mn local moment relaxation timeT
1 is comparable to or larger than the Larmor precession time of the Mn nuclei at 3 mK.
