High performance perfluoro alkoxy (PFA) and chemical vapor deposition-grown multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composite films with thicknesses of 30 μm were prepared using a scalable spray deposition technique. A homogeneous distribution of MWCNTs within the PFA matrix was confirmed by electron and optical microscopy. Dielectric and AC conductivity measurements showed a significant enhancement of dielectric permittivity for PFA/MWCNT films at low frequencies, and a very weak dependence of dielectric permittivity on temperature in the range 25-230 °C. Very low percolation threshold volume fractions of ca. 0.0043 and 0.0017 were attained for MWCNTs with two different aspect ratios, which have been explained by an inherent feature of spray route, a microcapacitor model and percolation theory. The combination of PFA/MWCNT composites and the spray deposition route provides a promising approach for the fabrication of industrial scale composite films with well-controlled dielectric properties for micro-electronic and high temperature applications.  相似文献

The range of possible morphologies for bent‐core B4 phase liquid crystals has recently expanded from helical nanofilaments (HNFs) and modulated HNFs to dual modulated HNFs, helical microfilaments, and heliconical‐layered nanocylinders. These new morphologies are observed when one or both aliphatic side chains contain a chiral center. Here, the following questions are addressed: which of these two chiral centers controls the handedness (helicity) and which morphology of the nanofilaments is formed by bent‐core liquid crystals with tris‐biphenyl diester core flanked by two chiral 2‐octyloxy side chains? The combined results reveal that the longer arm of these nonsymmetric bent‐core liquid crystals controls the handedness of the resulting dual modulated HNFs. These derivatives with opposite configuration of the two chiral side chains now feature twice as large dimensions compared to the homochiral derivatives with identical configuration. These results are supported by density functional theory calculations and stochastic dynamic atomistic simulations, which reveal that the relative difference between the para‐ and meta‐sides of the described series of compounds drives the variation in morphology. Finally, X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and atomic force microscopy (AFM) data also uncover the new morphology for B4 phases featuring p2/m symmetry within the filaments and less pronounced crystalline character.  相似文献

A simple process to clad conventional monofilament fibers with low‐molecular‐weight liquid crystals (LCs) stabilized by an outer polymer sheath is demonstrated. The fibers retain the responsive properties of the LCs but in a highly flexible/drapable format. The monofilament core makes these fibers much more rugged with a magnified response to external stimuli when compared to previously reported LC‐core fibers produced by electrospinning or airbrushing. The microscopic structure and the optical properties of round and flattened fibers are reported. The sensitivity of the response of individual fibers can be tuned over a broad range by varying the composition of the LCs. Complex fabrics can be easily woven from fibers that respond to different external stimuli, such as temperature variation, chemical concentrations, and pressure. The fabrics can be fashioned into garments that can sense and report the state of health of the wearer or the status of their environment.  相似文献

Some new glycosides of 3-ferrocenyl-1-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-prop-2-en-1-one were prepared and transformed into the corresponding pyrazoline and pyrazole derivatives. Using methyl-hydrazine, formation of regioisomers was observed. DDQ was found to be a mild and efficient reagent for the pyrazoline-pyrazole dehydroaromatization process. The structure of the new compounds was proved by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The in vitro antitumor activity of the substances was investigated against human leukemia (HL-60) cells by the MTT method. Among these new compounds some chalcone derivatives (3 a, 3 b, 5 a, and 5 b) showed attractive in vitro antitumor effects on human leukemia cells. These molecules contained ferrocenyl moieties and a p-hydroxy-phenolic ring or a size-independent apolar substitution of that.  相似文献

The TSMG process of YBCO bulk superconductors with Y1.5Ba2Cu3O x composition and 1 wt% CeO2 addition has been studied. It is shown that the window for isothermal growth of single-crystalline sample grown from Sm123 seed is between 988 °C and 1003 °C. At lower temperatures of this window, Y123 crystals grow with higher growth rate but the quality of crystals is worse due to the formation of steps at the growth front. During an isothermal dwell at the optimized temperature, the growth of Y123 single-crystal stops due to decreasing peritectic temperature with increasing CuO concentration in the melt. Additional slow cooling 1 °C/hour from the temperature of isothermal growth leads to epitaxial growth of Y123 crystal over the entire sample. Only very narrow part at the rim of the sample contains CuO phase and blocky Y123 crystals are formed there due to self-nucleation.  相似文献

Young male rats were fed with diets containing Hungarian soya products (extruded or granulated soya preparates) as the only source of protein for four weeks. The weight gain of the animals, the cholesterol and triglyceride content of liver and the activity of the hepatic monooxygenase system were studied. 20% soya protein in the diet (either from extruded or from granulated soya products) supplemented with sulphur containing amino acids met the protein requirement of the young growing rats. In a separate experiment the protein depletion-repletion method was used to investigate the effect of Purina 500 E soya protein isolate on the above mentioned parameters. The results indicate that diets containing 20% soya protein are satisfactory for the regeneration of the protein depleted animals.  相似文献

A female patient presenting with B-CLL and coincident eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome (EMS) after ingestion of L-tryptophan is described. The manifestations of EMS disappeared completely during treatment with cyclophosphamide/prednisone. and there was an intermittent clinical remission of CLL with absence of the monoclonal B-cell population. A few years later, the B-CLL relapsed, but without sign and symptoms of EMS. Whereas other eosinophilic syndromes such as eosinophilic fasciitis, panniculitis, or cellulitis Wells have been found to occur in relation to malignant underlying diseases, only a single patient with malignant fibrous histiocytoma following EMS has been described. There are no reports about an increased occurrence of B-CLL or other non-Hodgkin's lymphomas combined with or following EMS or related to L-tryptophan itself. The variant types of eosinophilic syndromes occurring due to malignant disorders, the differentiation from EMS, and the possible association between B-CLL and L-tryptophan-related EMS are discussed.  相似文献
