We present a new formulation to derive evaporative fraction (EF) and evapotranspiration (ET) maps from remotely sensed data without auxiliary relationships or site-specific relationships. This formulation is based on Granger's complementary relationship and Priestley-Taylor's equation. The proposed model eliminates the wind function and resistance parameters commonly applied to ET calculation by including a relative evaporation parameter (ET/Epot). By combining this relative evaporation parameter, Granger's complementary relationship and Priestley-Taylor equation, we obtain a simple equation to estimate ET. We tested and validated the proposed formulation over the Southern Great Plains (SGP) region of the United States for seven clear sky days during March-October 2003. MODIS Atmospheric and Land products were the only source of data used in this study. Estimates of ET show an overall root mean square error and bias of 33.89 and − 10.96 Wm− 2, respectively. Our results suggest that the proposed approach is robust and valid for a wide range of atmospheric and surface conditions.  相似文献

The maximum input-output transformer ratio, or output voltage ability, of direct AC-AC pulse-width-modulated converters is explored. An intrinsic limit, independent of the control algorithm, is found. A suitable novel converter control algorithm is discussed which achieves such maximum output amplitude ability and displays some interesting features. Finally, the opportunity to implement AC-AC converter control with the use of feedback techniques is considered, and a feedback-based control algorithm for the converter is proposed  相似文献

The hexagonal ErMn6−xFexSn6 solid solution (0.2 < x < 4) has been studied by magnetisation measurements and neutron diffraction. The ordering temperature of the T = (Mn,Fe) sublattice almost continuously increases from T = 386 K for x = 0.2 to T = 498 K for x = 4. The T sublattice orders in the successive magnetic structures helimagnetic H1, antiferromagnetic AF2, helimagnetic H2 and antiferromagnetic AF1 with increasing iron content. While structures AF2 and H1 were already observed in ternary Mn compounds and AF1 in ternary iron compounds, the structure H2 is of a new kind characterized by an AF slab around the Er(1a) site. At low temperature, a change of the easy direction of the Er moment from easy plane to easy axis is observed. The iron-rich compounds display a ferromagnetic order of the Er sublattice. A new kind of magnetic structure characterized by a sine-wave modulated arrangement with a propagating vector Q = (0, 0, qz) is also observed. The evolution of the magnetic properties (enhancement of the AF character of the (Mn,Fe) sublattice and magnetocrystalline anisotropy of erbium) is discussed.  相似文献

A novel 3D homogenized FE limit analysis software is proposed for the fragility curve evaluation of entire existing masonry churches. The approach is a two-step one. In the first phase homogenized masonry strength domains are obtained using a simplified kinematic procedure applied on a three-leaf unitary cell. In the second phase, homogenized domains are implemented at a structural level on a plate and cell kinematic FE software. The procedure is tested on two real scale existing churches located in Italy and compared to results provided by means of a conventional elastic approach performed by means of a standard commercial software. The global behavior at failure and the overall strength of the buildings are assessed through Monte Carlo simulations varying both masonry mechanical properties and direction of the equivalent seismic load.  相似文献

The ultrasound-assisted extraction (UAE) of resveratrol and other polyphenols from Polygonum cuspidatum has been carried out with the aim of developing an efficient and eco-friendly extraction process. The finely milled roots were sonicated (titanium horn, 19.5 kHz) in methanol, in different cyclodextrin water solutions [β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) or hydroxypropyl β-CD (HPβ-CD)] and also in pure water. UAE dramatically increased the yields and cut down extraction times compared to conventional extraction under stirring. Outstanding results have been achieved with the β-CD solution (1.5% w/w); in fact HPLC analysis showed that the selective inclusion properties of CDs toward phenolic stilbenes gave a much cleaner analytical extract profile. This green method gave 7.51 mg of total resveratrol (free + cleaved polydatin glucoside) per gram of dry plant. Thanks to polyphenol encapsulation within CDs, this extract showed excellent water dispersibility, higher stability and an antioxidant power which is comparable to that of the MeOH extract (DPPH, ORACFL). These important features should pave the road for its application in food supplements or phytochemical preparations.  相似文献

This paper proposes a boundary element method (BEM) model that is used for the analysis of multiple random crack growth by considering linear elastic fracture mechanics problems and structures subjected to fatigue. The formulation presented in this paper is based on the dual boundary element method, in which singular and hyper-singular integral equations are used. This technique avoids singularities of the resulting algebraic system of equations, despite the fact that the collocation points coincide for the two opposite crack faces. In fracture mechanics analyses, the displacement correlation technique is applied to evaluate stress intensity factors. The maximum circumferential stress theory is used to evaluate the propagation angle and the effective stress intensity factor. The fatigue model uses Paris’ law to predict structural life. Examples of simple and multi-fractured structures loaded until rupture are considered. These analyses demonstrate the robustness of the proposed model. In addition, the results indicate that this formulation is accurate and can model localisation and coalescence phenomena.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the classical problem of wave propagation in discrete models of nonuniform spatial resolution. We develop a new class of Replica Time Integrators (RTIs) that permit the two‐way transmission of thermal phonons across mesh interfaces. This two‐way transmissibility is accomplished by representing the state of the coarse regions by means of replica ensembles, consisting of collections of identical copies of the coarse regions. In dimension d, RTIs afford an O(nd) speed‐up factor in sequential mode, and O(nd + 1) in parallel, over regions that are coarsened n‐fold. In this work, we restrict ourselves to the solution of the 3d continuous wave equation, for both linear and non‐linear materials. By a combination of phase‐error analysis and numerical testing, we show that RTIs are convergent and result in exact two‐way transmissibility at the Courant–Friedrichs–Lewy limit for any angle of incidence. In this limit, RTIs allow step waves and high‐frequency harmonics to cross mesh interfaces in both directions without internal reflections or appreciable loss or addition of energy. The possible connections of RTIs with discrete‐to‐continuum approaches and, in particular, with the transition between molecular dynamics and continuum thermodynamics are also pointed to by way of future outlook. Increased number of peripheral benzodiazepine receptors (PBRs) have been found in some tumors outside the liver. The present study was to verify whether the PBR system is altered in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The levels of endogenous benzodiazepine-like compounds (BZDs), measured by radioreceptor binding technique after HPLC purification and the endogenous ligand for PBRs, termed diazepam binding inhibitor (DBI), measured by radioimmunoassay utilizing a specific antibody for human DBI, were studied in the blood of 15 normal subjects, 12 liver cirrhosis and 10 patients with HCC. The levels of BZDs in serum were increased hundred fold in liver cirrhosis patients and slightly elevated in HCC patients. DBI was found to be increased in HCC patients. The binding recognition sites for PBRs (Bmax) were increased 4 to 7 fold in HCC tissue in comparison with that found in non-tumoral liver tissue (NTLT). On the contrary the concentrations of DBI were found to be significantly decreased in HCC tissue in comparison with the respective NTLT. These results seem to suggest an implication of PBRs and of their putative endogenous ligands in the metabolism of these neoplastic cells and possibly in their proliferation. The up-regulation of PBRs found in HCC tissue seems to indicate an increased functional activity of these receptors and opens up the possibility of new pharmacological and diagnostic approaches while the changes in the circulating endogenous ligands for the above receptors might be envisaged as early markers of tumorigenesis in liver cirrhosis.  相似文献

Out of a total of 910 cholecystectomies performed on patients suffering from biliary calculosis, from January 1980 to December 1994 the Authors observed two cases of cholecysto-biliary fistulas (0.2%), a complication which can rarely affect biliary stones. In the light of the international literature and of their own, however, limited experience, the Authors take into account the pathophysiologic and clinical aspects of this pathology. They agree with the literature data on the lack of specificity of the clinical signs and uselessness of preoperative diagnostic tools, the only exception sometimes being E.R.C.P. The Authors find Csendes' cholecysto-biliary fistulas classification extremely useful as far as the subsequent surgical treatment is concerned. The latter should be electric, i.e. evaluation of each single case depending on the type of fistula, its size, conditions of its edges, dilatation of the main bile duct. Surgery may range from a simple suture of the fistula edges with endoluminal drainage, associated or not to surgery of the papilla, to a biliary digestive anastomosis.  相似文献
