Large-signal (L-S) characterizations of double-drift region (DDR) impact avalanche transit time (IMPATT) devices based on group III-V semiconductors such as wurtzite (Wz) GaN, GaAs and InP have been carried out at both millimeter-wave (mm-wave) and terahertz (THz) frequency bands. A L-S simulation technique based on a non-sinusoidal voltage excitation (NSVE) model developed by the authors has been used to obtain the high frequency properties of the above mentioned devices. The effect of band-to-band tunneling on the L-S properties of the device at different mm-wave and THz frequencies are also investigated. Similar studies are also carried out for DDR IMPATTs based on the most popular semiconductor material, i.e. Si, for the sake of comparison. A comparative study of the devices based on conventional semiconductor materials (i.e. GaAs, InP and Si) with those based on Wz-GaN shows significantly better performance capabilities of the latter at both mm-wave and THz frequencies.  相似文献

This paper investigates a production–remanufacturing system for a single product over a known-finite time horizon. Here the production system produces some defective units which are continuously transferred to the remanufacturing unit and the constant demand is satisfied by the perfect items from production and remanufactured units. Remanufacturing unit uses the defective items from production unit and the collected used-products from the customers and later items are remanufactured for reuse as fresh items. Some of the used items in the remanufacturing unit are disposed off which are not repairable. The remanufactured units are treated as perfect items. Normally, rate of defectiveness varies in a production system and may be approximated by a constant or fuzzy parameter. Hence, two models are formulated separately with constant and fuzzy defective productions. When defective rate is imprecise, optimistic and pessimistic equivalent of fuzzy objective function is obtained by using credibility measure of fuzzy event by taking fuzzy expectation. Here, it is assumed that remanufacturing system starts from the second production cycle and after that both production and remanufacturing units continue simultaneously. The models are formulated for maximum total profit out of the whole system. Here the decision variables are the total number of cycles in the time horizon, the duration for which the defective items are collected and the cycle length after the first cycle. Genetic Algorithm is developed with Roulette wheel selection, Arithmetic crossover, Random mutation and applied to evaluate the maximum total profit and the corresponding optimum decision variables. The models are illustrated with some numerical data. Results of some particular cases are also presented.  相似文献

This paper presents a trust brokering system that operates in a peer-to-peer manner. The network of trust brokers operate by providing peer reviews in the form of recommendations regarding potential resource targets. One of the distinguishing features of our work is that it separately models the accuracy and honesty concepts. By separately modeling these concepts, our model is able to significantly improve the performance. We apply the trust brokering system to a resource manager to illustrate its utility in a public-resource Grid environment. The simulations performed to evaluate the trust-aware resource matchmaking strategies indicate that high levels of ‘robustness’ can be attained by considering trust while matchmaking and allocating resources.Dr Azzedin contributed towards the work in this paper while he was at University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada.  相似文献

X-ray diffraction studies were carried out on single crystals of two flavonoids, viz. 5-hydroxy-6,7,4′-trimethoxyflavone, C18H16O6, (I) and 5-hydroxy-3,7,4′-trimethoxyflavone, C18H16O6, (II). Crystal structures of both the flavonoids were solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures. In both the molecules, the benzopyran moiety is planar. The dihedral angle between the phenyl ring and the benzopyran portion is 5.50(4)° in (I) and 29.11(5)° in (II). In (I), the crystal packing is influenced by O-H…O hydrogen bonds, and weak C-H…O and ππ interactions whereas in (II) the crystal structure is stabilized by the presence of four intermolecular short contacts of the type C-H…O. There is also one C-H…π hydrogen bond with H… centroid distance of <2.7 Å. The molecules are further stabilized by π-π interactions.  相似文献

Three water‐soluble dipeptides containing N‐terminally located β‐alanine residue and C‐terminally located α‐amino acid residues (β‐Ala‐L ‐Xaa, Xaa = Val/Ile/Phe) form robust crystalline nanotubes. These dipeptide nanotubes contain a common motif, a hybrid of β,α‐amino acids, which are stable against heat up to 80 °C, a wide range of pH (2–10), and proteolytic degradation. These robust crystalline dipeptide nanotubes are used as a template for fabricating dipeptide‐capped gold nanoparticles on their outer surfaces. This is an easy way to develop nanotube/nanoparticle hybrid materials under mild conditions.  相似文献
