A digital control system using the optimal control has been developed for a thermal power generator. In order to increase the generator control performance for improving the power system stability, this system supplies the excitation system directly with control signals and provides the governor system with control signals and supplemental control signals for a conventional governor. The system utilizes adaptive control for changes in generator nonlinear characteristics, as well as in power system characteristics. The principles and application of this system are described and results of simulation tests using a 1000 MVA thermal power plant model on a high-reliability AC/DC electric power system simulator are presented. The catalytic reaction of glucose oxidase (GOx) mediated by 3-(10-phenothiazyl)propionic acid (PT-PA) and phenothiazine-labeled poly(ethylene oxide) (PT-PEO1000) that are covalently bonded to Au(111) electrodes has been investigated. The PT-PA and PT-PEO1000 are reacted with 2-aminoethanethiol (AET), followed by the formation of a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) onto the Au surface. The PT group immobilized on the SAM of AET acts as an effective mediator for the electron transfer (ET) between the electrode and the FAD center of freely diffusing GOx in solution. The ET rate constant estimated from the catalytic current using a newly derived equation is larger by 1 order of magnitude for the PT-PA-modified system (1.1 x 10(5) dm(3) mol(-1) s(-1)) than for the PT-PEO1000 system (1.4 x 10(4) dm(3) mol(-1) s(-1)). The order of the magnitude of the ET rate constant clearly contrasts with the GOx hybrid systems that we previously investigated (Anal. Chem. 2003, 75, 910-917), in which the presence of the PEO spacer enhances the ET reaction rate. The reduction in the apparent PT concentration at the electrode interface due to the high mobility of the PEO chain, leading to low efficiency in the formation of an enzyme-mediator complex, is a possible reason for the lower mediation ability of PT-PEO1000 than that of PT-PA for the ET between the FAD group and PT(+) immobilized on the electrode. Inhibition of the penetration of GOx molecules into the monolayer and of the accessibility of some part of PT groups to GOx molecules could also be reasons for the lower mediation ability of PT-PEO1000 thickly modified on the electrode.  相似文献

Astrocytic contribution of endothelial cell monolayer permeability was examined in two blood-brain barrier (BBB) models, using the coculture in a double chamber system: rat astrocytes and bovine aortic endothelial cells (BAECs) or bovine brain endothelial cells (BBECs). In system 1, where astrocytes were separated from endothelial cells, a 40% reduction in L-glucose permeability of the BBEC monolayer, but not the BAEC monolayer, was observed by cocultivation with astrocytes. Although several passages of BBEC in culture elicited morphological transformation from spindle-shapes to cobblestone-like features, the passaged BBECs remained responsive to astrocytes in coculture in system 1 (37% reduction of the L-glucose permeability). By contrast, in system 2, where respective endothelial cells and astrocytes layered on the upper and lower surfaces of a membrane, the permeability of both BAEC and BBEC monolayers was reduced by cocultivation with astrocytes (75% reduction for BAEC and 40% reduction for BBEC). BAECs in this contiguous coculture (system 2) with astrocytes showed numerous tight junction-like structures characteristic of the BBB in vivo. These results suggest that primary cultured BBECs, which had been primed by astrocytes in vivo, retain a higher sensitivity to astrocytes possibly through an astrocytic soluble factor (s) to exhibit BBB-specific phenotypes, and that even BAEC from extra-neural tissues, when cultured with astrocytes in close proximity in vitro, may acquire the similar phenotypes and serve for an extensive use of BBB model in vitro.  相似文献

This paper presents a peak load forecasting system using multilayer neural networks and fuzzy theory. Electric load forecasting in power systems is a very important task from the perspective of reliability and economic operation. Daily peak load forecasting is one of the basic operations of generation scheduling for the following day. Therefore, many statistical methods have been developed and used for such forecasting even though it has been difficult to construct a proper functional model. The developed system is applied by neural network and fuzzy theory to forecast for daily, weekly and monthly peak load. The system consists of an engineering workstation (EWS) and a personal computer (PC). The EWS is for learning and data-bases, and the PC is for man-machine interface such as forecasting operation. The system has been used since June 1993. The result evaluated with an absolute mean error is 1.63 percent for 10 months. From the results shown here, the system applied by neural network and fuzzy theory has high validity.  相似文献

Renal ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is one of the main causes of postoperative renal failure. Activated neutrophils are implicated in the development of I/R-induced renal failure. JTE-607 has been reported to be a potent inhibitor of the multiple inflammatory cytokines in the endotoxic shock mouse model and heart Langendorff perfusion model. In this study, we examined whether JTE-607 attenuates I/R-induced renal injury by reducing neutrophil activation. Male wistar rats were intravenously administered JTE-607 (JTE group, 30 mg/kg) or 5% mannitol (control group) 30 min before ischemia. JTE-607 reduced the I/R-induced increases in the serum concentrations of blood urea nitrogen and creatinine, and improved the histopathologic changes, including acute tubular necrosis. I/R-induced an increase in neutrophil activation, reflected by increases in renal cytokine-induced neutrophil chemoattractant (CINC)-1 and myeloperoxidase (MPO) concentrations which were significantly reduced by JTE-607. These findings indicate that JTE-607 attenuates I/R-induced acute renal injury, probably by inhibiting neutrophil activation. JTE-607 might be a novel therapeutic strategy for the protection of postoperative renal failure in surgery associated with renal ischemia as well as renal transplantation.  相似文献

Hereditary gynecological cancers are caused by several inherited genes. Tumors that arise in the female reproductive system, such as ovaries and the uterus, overlap with hereditary cancers. Several hereditary cancer-related genes are important because they might lead to therapeutic targets. Treatment of hereditary cancers should be updated in line with the advent of various new methods of evaluation. Next-generation sequencing has led to rapid, economical genetic analyses that have prompted a concomitant and significant paradigm shift with respect to hereditary cancers. Molecular tumor profiling is an epochal method for determining therapeutic targets. Clinical treatment strategies are now being designed based on biomarkers based on tumor profiling. Furthermore, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines significantly changed the genetic testing process in 2020 to initially consider multi-gene panel (MGP) evaluation. Here, we reviewed the molecular features and clinical management of hereditary gynecological malignancies, such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer (HBOC), and Lynch, Li–Fraumeni, Cowden, and Peutz–Jeghers syndromes. We also reviewed cancer-susceptible genes revealed by MGP tests.  相似文献
