The effect of temperature on the dyeing rate constant k, diffusion coefficient D, and time of half‐dyeing t1/2 was evaluated for the dyeing of polyester fibers with two disperse dyes, an azo and an anthraquinone dye. Activation energies of diffusion E were calculated. The polyester dyeing equilibrium was also studied and the partition coefficient K and standard affinity Δμ° at various temperatures were determined for the anthraquinone dye. Standard enthalpy ΔH° and standard entropy ΔS° of dyeing were also obtained. The same equilibrium parameters were not obtained for the azo dye because of its dyeing behavior. A similar kinetic and equilibrium study was made for the pure azo and anthraquinone compounds free from the dispersing agents present in the commercial dyes and the results are discussed. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Amphiphilic poly-N-vinylpyrrolidone derivatives (Amph-PVP) with different molecular weight of hydrophilic PVP fragment and one terminal hydrophobic n-alkyl fragment of different length were synthesized for preparation of nano-scaled particles in aqueous media. To estimate novel polymer efficiency and perspective as basis for drug delivery systems, the polymeric micelle-like particles were prepared by dialysis and solvent evaporation methods. Indomethacin was incorporated into hydrophobic inner core of these nanoparticles as a typical model drug. From the dynamic light-scattering measurements, the size of particles formed was less than 200 nm with narrow monodisperse size distribution and nanoparticles size slightly increased with the amount of indomethacin encapsulated into inner core of Amph-PVP particles. The critical aggregation concentration values for prepared polymer samples determined by fluorescence spectroscopy were in micromole range which is lower than it is for common low molecular weight surfactants. As the hydrophobic fragment of amphiphilic polymer increased, the critical aggregation concentration values decreased. An increase of polymer hydrophilic fragment molecular weight produced larger nanoaggregates. In vitro release experiments using indomethacin-loaded Amph-PVP nanoparticles exhibited the sustained release behavior without any burst effect for most polymer samples.  相似文献

Walzträger in Beton (WIB) stellen für einfeldrige Eisenbahnbrücken mit bis zu 25 m Spannweite eine attraktive Lösung dar. Das Verformungsverhalten derartiger Bauwerke wird durch die Rissbildung des Betons wesentlich beeinflusst, was daher rechnerisch realitätsnah erfasst werden muss. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird ein Näherungsverfahren vorgeschlagen, welches für die Verformungsberechnung einbetonierter Stahlquerschnitte unter Gebrauchslasten geeignet ist. A proposal for the calculation of deformations in concrete – encased steel beams. Concrete‐encased steel beams are attractive solutions for railroad bridges with spans up to 25 meters. By this type of constructions the cracking of concrete is of great importance. In this article a calculation procedure is suggested, which is appropriate for evaluating deformations of steel‐profiles integrated in concrete under service conditions.  相似文献

Mixture of experts classification using a hierarchical mixture model   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A three-level hierarchical mixture model for classification is presented that models the following data generation process: (1) the data are generated by a finite number of sources (clusters), and (2) the generation mechanism of each source assumes the existence of individual internal class-labeled sources (subclusters of the external cluster). The model estimates the posterior probability of class membership similar to a mixture of experts classifier. In order to learn the parameters of the model, we have developed a general training approach based on maximum likelihood that results in two efficient training algorithms. Compared to other classification mixture models, the proposed hierarchical model exhibits several advantages and provides improved classification performance as indicated by the experimental results.  相似文献

In this viewpoint article, the importance of renal tissue proteomics in health and disease is explored. The analysis of the urinary proteome and the potential clinical application of these findings are progressing. However, additional benefit would be gained from a detailed parallel exploration of the proteome of the renal parenchyma, both in models and clinical samples. With this aim, we will briefly summarize the existing literature, compare the findings and propose future tasks. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of studying specific cellular compartments and cell types within the kidney. Recent technical advances are also discussed. It is anticipated that the combination of such technologies, especially proteomic analysis of material extracted by laser capture microdissection from paraffin embedded tissue or direct mass spectrometrical tissue imaging, will revolutionize the field.  相似文献

Nanoparticles can experience numerous impacts during storage or after intravenous administration resulting in disassembly and/or drug leakage and affecting their efficiency as drug delivery systems. In this study, this crucial issue was addressed by investigating the stability of amphiphilic poly‐N‐vinylpyrrolidone derivative nanocarriers in blood serum, against destabilizing agents and during long‐term storage. All amphiphilic poly‐N‐vinylpyrrolidone derivative nanoparticles prepared in this study were found to possess sizes less than 150 nm, narrow size distribution, spherical morphology, and a slightly negative surface charge. These nanoparticles could efficiently entrap hydrophobic substances (pyrene and curcumin) while retaining excellent compatibility with red blood cells. Moreover, our studies demonstrate the stability of the nanoparticles during long‐term storage and upon dilution with body liquids enhancing their potential as stable in vivo carriers, which is critically important for intravenous drug delivery applications. All properties were found to strongly depend on the ratio between the hydrophobic and the hydrophilic moiety of the polymers under study. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. Sensory data (1–16) as described by a trained panel, several characteristics (acidity, peroxide value, extinction coefficients at 232 and 270 nm, stability and phenolic compounds) (17–30) and chemical compositional data (fatty acids, sterols and triterpene diols, aliphatic and triterpene alcohols, and triglycerides) (31–67) were obtained for virgin olive oils of three European olive varieties, Coratina (Italy), Picual (Spain) and Koroneiki (Greece), at a certain stage of maturity—when half of the olives displayed partial or total purple colour—for two consecutive years of harvest, 1995–96 and 1996–97. The most remarkable characteristics for the classification of the oils were extracted using multivariate statistical analysis (correlation, hierarchical clustering and canonical discriminant analysis). Both sensory and/or chemical and quality characteristics were found to have significant potential for the authentication of the virgin olive oil varieties under investigation. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

E-commerce is a fundamental method of doing business, such that for a firm to say it is trading at all in the modern market-place it must have some element of on-line presence. Coupled with this is the explosion of the “population” of Massively Multiplayer On-line Role Playing Games and other shared virtual environments. Many suggest this will lead to a further dimension of commerce: virtual commerce. We discuss here the issues, current roadblocks and present state of an e-commerce transaction carried out completely within a virtual environment; a virtual transaction. Although technically such transactions are in a sense trivial, they raise many other issues in complex ways thus making V-transactions a highly interesting cross-disciplinary issue. We also discuss the social, ethical and regulatory implications for the virtual communities in these environments of such v-transactions, how their implementation affects the nature and management of a virtual environment, and how they represent a fundamental merging of the real and virtual worlds for the purpose of commerce. We highlight the minimal set of features a v-transaction capable virtual environment requires and suggest a model of how in the medium term they could be carried out via a methodology we call click-through, and that the developers of such environments will need to take on the multi-modal behavior of their users, as well as elements of the economic and political sciences in order to fully realize the commercial potential of the v-transaction.  相似文献
