We compare charge carrier generation/trapping related degradation in control oxide (SiO2) and HfO2/SiO2 stack of an identical equivalent-oxide-thickness (EOT) during constant gate voltage stress of n-type metal-oxide-semiconductor (nMOS) capacitors. Irrespective of these two dielectrics, the kinetics of generation of both surface states and oxide-trapped positive charges are found to be similar. Our analysis shows that the positive oxide charge buildup during CVS is due to trapping of protons by the strained SiOSi bonds in either of the devices. We demonstrate that compared to SiO2 devices, HfO2 devices with an equal EOT better perform in CMOS logic applications. On the other hand, our results indicate that the control oxide is better in charge trapping memory devices. Furthermore, the lifetime of the control oxide devices is observed longer than that of HfO2 devices at a given operating voltage. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to find out the influence of selected dietary components on plasma and tissue response of repeated micellar and dietary lutein in aged rats with lutein deficiency. In repeated (16 d) gavage study, micellar lutein was co‐ingested with either phosphatidylcholine (PC), lyso‐phosphatidylcholine (lysoPC), β‐carotene, dietary fiber or vegetable fat (3% soybean oil). In dietary study, rats were fed (4 wk) semi‐synthetic diet either with lutein + PC, lutein + dietary fiber or B. alba (lutein source) + PC. The post‐prandial plasma and tissue response of lutein was measured by HPLC. Results showed that micellar fat, PC and lysoPC significantly (P ≤ 0.05) increased the lutein levels in plasma (31.1%, 26.8%, and 34.9%), liver (27.4%, 29.5%, and 8.6%), and eyes (63.5%, 90.2%, and 86%) compared to the control group (group gavaged micelles with no dietary components studied). Similarly, dietary study showed an enhanced plasma, liver, and eye lutein levels by 44.8%, 24.1%, and 42.0% (lutein + PC group) and 51.7%, 39.8%, and 31.7% (B.alba + PC group), respectively compared to control. The activity of antioxidant enzymes in plasma and liver of both the studies were also affected compared to control. Result reveals, that PC enhance the intestinal absorption of both micellar and dietary lutein which is either in free or bound form with food matrices in aged rats with lutein deficiency. This paper presents a system for monitoring and prognostics of machine conditions using soft computing (SC) techniques. The machine condition is assessed through a suitable ‘monitoring index’ extracted from the vibration signals. The progression of the monitoring index is predicted using an SC technique, namely adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). Comparison with a machine learning method, namely support vector regression (SVR), is also presented. The proposed prediction procedures have been evaluated through benchmark data sets. The prognostic effectiveness of the techniques has been illustrated through previously published data on several types of faults in machines. The performance of SVR was found to be better than ANFIS for the data sets used. The results are helpful in understanding the relationship of machine conditions, the corresponding indicating features, the level of damage/degradation and their progression. 相似文献

The micro-powder injection molding (micro-PIM) process has the potential to bridge the gap between the design and manufacturing of micro-components that are often used in small and handy devices. Numerical modeling helps to analyze and overcome various difficulties of micro-PIM. In the present work, a numerical model is developed to predict the powder–binder separation (a common defect in PIM and especially severe in micro-PIM) during the injection of an alumina feedstock. A powder–binder separation criterion is proposed dealing with applied injection pressure and friction force between the powder and binder. An indirect comparison of feedstock travel time between two locations is used to validate the model. The predicted segregation from the simulated result is supported by a qualitative experimental measurement. The developed model can be used to optimize injection parameters to get a defect-free product. 相似文献

Banana is an important commercially available natural fibre, suitable for making coarse yarns. It has also potential for making fine home and apparel textiles after requisite chemical intervention or blending with other fine fibres. For making such products, chemical processing, namely bleaching, coloration and finishing, play an important role. Bleaching of fibre is generally carried out in highly alkaline condition and at high temperature of 85°C using hydrogen peroxide to achieve whiteness index of > 70 with about 25% loss in tensile strength. To achieve a similar whiteness index, while addressing strength loss, a fibre friendly low-temperature low-alkali based peracetic acid (PAA) bleaching of banana fibre has been proposed in the present article. Important bleaching process parameters, namely PAA concentration (10–30 g/L), time (60–180 min) and temperature (60–80°C), have been varied for optimisation of the bleaching process. Banana fibre bleaching using PAA concentration of 20 g/L at 70°C for 2 h can produce fibre with whiteness index of > 70, which is suitable for subsequent coloration. The PAA bleached banana fibre can retain 84% of its bundle strength and 95.6% of its weight. Physical (strength, fineness), chemical (attenuated total reflectance Fourier-transform infrared [ATR-FTIR], energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy [EDX]), optical (colour) and morphological (scanning electron microscopy [SEM]) properties of banana fibres before and after bleaching were evaluated to study the efficacy of the process. 相似文献

In today’s digital world, millions of individuals are linked to one another via the Internet and social media. This opens up new avenues for information exchange with others. Sentiment analysis (SA) has gotten a lot of attention during the last decade. We analyse the challenges of Sentiment Analysis (SA) in one of the Asian regional languages known as Marathi in this study by providing a benchmark setup in which we first produced an annotated dataset composed of Marathi text acquired from microblogging websites such as Twitter. We also choose domain experts to manually annotate Marathi microblogging posts with positive, negative, and neutral polarity. In addition, to show the efficient use of the annotated dataset, an ensemble-based model for sentiment analysis was created. In contrast to others machine learning classifier, we achieved better performance in terms of accuracy for ensemble classifier with 10-fold cross-validation (cv), outcomes as 97.77%, f-score is 97.89%. 相似文献

Lipomannan and lipoarabinomannan are integral components of the mycobacterial cell wall. Earlier studies demonstrated that synthetic arabinan and arabinomannan glycolipids acted as inhibitors of mycobacterial growth, in addition to exhibiting inhibitory activities of mycobacterial biofilm. Herein, it is demonstrated that synthetic mannan glycolipids are better inhibitors of mycobacterial growth, whereas lipoarabinomannan has a higher inhibition efficiency to biofilm. Syntheses of mannan glycolipids with a graded number of mannan moieties and an arabinomannan glycolipid are conducted by chemical methods and subsequent mycobacterial growth and biofilm inhibition studies are conducted on Mycobacterium smegmatis. Growth inhibition of (73±3) % is observed with a mannose trisaccharide containing a glycolipid, whereas this glycolipid did not promote biofilm inhibition activity better than that of arabinomannan glycolipid. The antibiotic supplementation activities of glycolipids on growth and biofilm inhibitions are evaluated. Increases in growth and biofilm inhibitions are observed if the antibiotic is supplemented with glycolipids, which leads to a significant reduction of inhibition concentrations of the antibiotic. 相似文献

This work investigates oxidative decolorization of two different dyes, Methylene blue and Titan yellow in aqueous solution using an environmentally friendly advanced electro-chemical oxidation (electro-Fenton) process. The effect of operating conditions like H2O2 concentration, current density, initial dye concentration was studied in a batch stirred cell. Individual decolorization decay kinetics for both dyes was investigated. The second-order absolute rate constants (L mol?1 s?1) between hydroxyl radical and dye have been calculated from experimental data by fitting it to the decolorization model. The apparent kinetic constants, k app (s?1) for Methylene blue and Titan yellow dye decolorization were also determined. The experimental data showed a good fit to the theoretical model, which can predict data in a wide range of % dye decolorization. This process also reduces COD of the dye solution, and the unit energy demand (UED) in kWh/kg COD removed for different electrical current has been reported. 相似文献
